"We might have a common enemy, but that does not make me your friend." the Constable said, suddenly vanishing. All of the windows suddenly became covered in sand, and the doors slammed closed.

"Very effective..." the figure said, looking around the now sand covered building. He wandered around the structure, taking stock of any other exits the building may have: hallways, roof access, etc.

Good, he thought to himself, Looks like I caught something. He followed the path of the ice, calmly scanning for his target among the glittering orange-gold ice crystals.

A solitary figure lay sprawled on the ground, coated in ice. It was a grineer in slate-grey armor, with numerous steel meridian insignia's hanging from his waste - trophies from previous kills.

This was the grineer the tenno had been sent to kill, only it appeared that someone had beaten him to it.

[...unless you have a means to track down the Nyx, inquisitor seems more feasible for now. no inquisitor to date bodes well for civilians in area...] the comms answer stoically.

Both frames keep a vigil over the figure down by the fountain, their muscles tense in readiness.

[...you can attempt contact if you're willing, but be on your guard...]

The inquisitor was kneeling by the fountain, muttering something to himself. He made no acknowledgement of any of the events that had just transpired.

[You take care of the inquisitor, I'm going to check up on the mesa.] Marcus replied, bulletjumping over to where the other tenno was. She had risen to her feet, and had ripped the knife out of her gut. Judging by the way her wound was already beginning to close, her frame was capable of recovering from the damage.

"She's gotten a lot stronger since we last saw each other..." the Mesa muttered, then looked up at Marcus in surprise.

"Hey there," Marcus said casually, sheathing his sword, "Don't think we've met before. I'm Marcus."

"I'm Abigail," the mesa replied, dusting off her legs.

"So," Marcus said, "What are you doing chasing after that Nyx?"

Reaching into her gear pocket, the Valkyr P pulls out a remote observer. Plunking it on top of the chimney stack, she zooms in the built in cameras and microphones, hoping to gleam some sort of insight. (not my finest work, I know x.x;)

The doors and windows were thin and shoddily-built, their purpose more for privacy than security. Even a child could break down the gnarled wooden doors blocking his exit.

Meanwhile, the Constable continued to run, nearing the edge of the town, where he could signal for an emergency extraction.

The hooded man was offering a prayer to the fallen sniper, asking some unknown divinity that his transgressions be forgiven. After several more seconds, he ended his prayer, rose to his feet, collected his flail, and wordlessly began to walk away.

Marcus and an unknown tenno began to walk towards Aria, glancing at the Inquisitor as he left.

The sound of a vectis rang out just a few meters behind the Constable, the round touching down somewhere in the desert sand.
"You've been wasting my time buddy...and my patients is runnin' on fumes." The Man asked, His red coat blowing behind him.
"Where... Is... The Tin-Man?"

The figure heard the sound of the sniper rifles discharge. He poked his head out the door, looking for something to go on.
"God, I hope he isn't near me."

The Constable turns to face the red-cloaked man calmly, unfazed by the sniper fire.

"I thought he was fighting you."

He mentally checked the reserves of void energy left in the keys running along his back. They were depressingly empty - he'd been using them too much, and now it looked like he was going to run out just as things got bloody.

The Valkyr P doesn't physically acknowledge the pair up on her rooftop cover, both primed (in the physical sense) frames keeping an eye on the the golden armed person below at least until he leaves shooting range. Experiences have taught that them that one doesn't simply leave an inquisitor until they're well and truly gone, especially with civilians below.

The Inquisitor was walking in the general direction of Deadwood, unconcerned with the numerous tenno watching him. He didn't spare them a glance as he headed straight to the edge of town.

The Grey Nyx came to a stop in the shadow of a Corpus frigate that had been torn down the middle, exposing its many rooms like some kind of giant ant farm. A solitary figure waited at the base of the ship, their features obscured by shadow. The Nyx continued walking forward, scanning the surroundings for any signs of an ambush.

As she grew near, she could begin to make out some features of the other person. Long, black hair. Light brown eyes, with an intelligent gleam to them. They were young - not much older than the grey Nyx herself. In their hands they had a small piece of paper they were folding and unfolding.

"I'm glad you decided to come," Rose said, "We have quite a lot to talk about."

Once the Inquisitor finally removed himself from the outer limits of the settlement, the cloaked Valkyr P finally take a sigh of relief as Aria slides down and sits down with a *thud* beside the chimney, using it as a support.

Over at the Nyx P, the cloaked white and green frame runs over to the shell of a sniper. In several clean strikes, it slides down to the empty puppet`s feet, before bounding up ans spinning into a flurry of roundhouse kicks; the first in a disarming attempt on the knife still in his hand, the second to send him flying off the roof and into the streets below.

If the intruder noticed the glance, he either didn't get the hint, or he was tired of the Constable's evasions. He leveled his vectis as the Constable, still keeping a few meters away.
"I've be hunting that b@st@rd since the end of the old war. I earned that body; won it from those gilded kings themselves And then that thing takes it from me." The intruder pops his neck. Even through the helmet, his gaze is piercing.
"I want. That Proxy. You KNOW where it is. Take. Me. To it."

Several buildings down, a small tint of blue 'flesh' could be seen as the figure poke his head out of the ally way. Obviously he'd heard the shots. The intruder was to focused on the Constable to notice, at least for now.

The door opened to the outside. A large section of the ship had broken off, leaving the adjacent room exposed to the outside. A grineer transport ship hovered nearby, with two figures boarding it. One was a grineer lancer, adorned in crimson-armor, and bearing more than a few mechanical parts. As he stepped onto the ship, he gave the frost a smug grin.

The person beside the grineer was young, judging by their height, and was clad in a suit that appeared disturbingly similar to the standard-issue attire of tenno operators - only this suit was bolstered with additional grineer-made armor plating, painted dull black. Their face was hidden behind a grineer infantry mask that had been built into the hood of the suit, though whether the objective was to hide their appearance or to provide protection was unclear. They sported a pair of vipers and a proto-glaive, though they remained holstered.

The two exchanged a glance before the dropship gunned its engines and flew out of sight, speeding towards the horizon.

His hands were in his coat pockets, with his revolvers holstered. Any attempts he'd make to draw his pistols would be obvious and slow, putting the intruder at a severe advantage.

The blue figure could be seen creeping from the alley way. He began a slow, low jog towards the two, desperately trying not to make any noise.

"And where do you expect me to think he is? he wasn't in the suit that blew up! there would have been black blood all over the walls!" The intruder was obviously getting more agitated, void energy running of the junctions in his arms. Junctions just like those in the blue figure's arms.

The blue figure had managed to close the gap. he was now standing ten meters from the Intruder. He reached for one of the grakata's at his sides.

"You never know what little details you might miss."

The Nyx crossed her arms, looking unimpressed.

"Why am I here?" she asked irritably.

Rose stood up, locking eyes with the grey Nyx. She wasn't the first tenno Rose had run across, and certainly not the most intimidating. This Nyx seemed more like a child than a warrior to Rose.

But Rose still needed her.

"Did you know," Rose began, "That you are one of the Hierarchies biggest mistakes?"

The Nyx stiffened, her hands clenching into fists. But Rose continued before the Nyx had time to retort.

"The Hierarchy," Rose explained, "Wanted to create an army of Tenno, loyal only to them. And they did everything in their power to achieve this. They grabbed war refugees from aross the system, subjecting them to all kinds of narcotics and indoctrination in the hopes of creating utterly obedient soldiers."

Rose gave the Nyx a grin.

"But you're different. Not because of anything on your part mind you, but because of this," She said, tossing the crumpled ball of paper she had holding too the Nyx. The Nyx caught it, looking dubiously at Rose.

"Go on," Rose said, "Take a look."

Slowly, the Nyx began to straighten out the piece of paper. When the Nyx realized what was on the paper, she looked at Rose with something that might have been fear.

"What do you want?" she said slowly.

And so Rose told her.

The two exchanged a glance before the dropship gunned its engines and flew out of sight, speeding towards the horizon.

The frost was less surprised by the uniform of the younger figure - working with Steel Meridian meant their own operator suit had grineer elements of its own - and more by the actual presence of someone in an operator-like outfit. Usually those went hand-in-hand with using a warframe, but obviously this was not the case.

Luckily, he had more information to work with. An appearance and a name, as well as a bit of how they went about things. Using expendable low-ranking goons, and silence them once they're finished. A grineer tactic, to say the least. He watched the dropship leave, then turned and headed back to retrieve the insignias.

"No luck, Vilkas," he reported to his cephalon, "Well, some luck. Good news is, the target's dead. Bad news is, it wasn't me. Keep an eye out for grineer dropships, and see if the records have anything about a lancer named J'Taav." "Ooh, the hunt continues, then? I'm on it, operator."

Clicking off his comms, the frost reclaimed the looted insignias - paying no respect to the body as he did so - and exited the wreck, walking back towards his ship.

"...nothing is overkill when it comes to Inquisitors and those under their strings..." Mia replies, as she finally holsters her bolt rifle and polearm, the weapons fading from view as soon as they touched the frame's back. Lowering herself down, she takes a sit on rooftop's corner, legs dangling over the edge. Behind the Excalibur and Mesa, a flurry of steps bounds over the building, before the Valkyr P flies into a rear glomp on the now flickering Nyx P's back, her weapons still dangling on void whips behind her.

"...any luck tracking down the other assailant...?" the myriad of siren-like voices ring in their heads.

The grakata was aimed squarely at the Intruder's back, ready to deliver its payload.
Then a pebble squeezed out from below the figure's foot as he shifted weight, bouncing noticeably across the ground. The intruder twitched, head cocked to listen to the sound.
The Blue Figure looked at the Constable briefly, his eyes returning to the Intruder once he began to spin, sending his cloak billowing. Beneath the red, the cracked and dented void key locked into his armor could easily be seen: a perfect shot.
Bang.
Boom.
Almost at the same time.
