The tenno stared at the creature. "What...the....hellllllll......" they said. "Is it...what is it? It looks like the bug version of a preemie grineer."

A soma rattled off several rounds, Sending the Blade spinning away from the figure. Smoke billowed from the barrel, the Frost wielding it still perched above the opening.
"You're not getting off that easy..." Svytoj stated bluntly, the slug's acrid blood dripping off his 'skin'. He looked over at Leveret. "I need a moment. Can you secure that blade for me?" He asked, still holding onto the creature.

Do you think you can get though to this... Thing, Mia? Svytoj Thought, Still looking over the creature he was cradling in his arms.
"...What are you...?" He said quietly to himself.

The armored figure continues crawling, each movement of his arms taking more and more energy out of him. His blood ran freely across the infested floor, and he couldn't have much left in him. It was quite likely that he would die before he even reached his sword.

Similarly, the pulse of the creature in Svytoj's arms began to slow. Without the slug keeping it alive while it grew, it was quickly starting to die.

They'd only have time to thoroughly interrogate one of them, and time was running out.

Mia lets out a series of subdued, yet laborious breathes as the wailing in her head finally starts to dull down, the familiar voices rising back to the top of the waves once again. Taking one last pant she closes her pure white colored eyes and fades back into the edge of the two world, letting the recognized warmth envelop her once again as the green and white hand in the back twitches to life.

"...no idea..." is what she manages to form in her head. "...voices are getting quieter. only time to delve into one before dims to black. see what I can do..." she concludes as she begins straining her tired head to the ripples coming out from either targets.

"I don't know who that mesa is working for, but I doubt she's Hierarchy." The Constable replied. He pounded a fist against the hull of the wrecked Corpus ship. "Merciful Sovereigns, this was not how this was supposed to happen." he said angrily.

Just over the horizon, Acambria's ship came into view. "Hmmm... You may be right... Still, I find it odd that the Mesa isn't a 10-0. Not to mention that Mag kept rattling on about something overshadowing that Mesa. Something about a 'HI'?" Acambria started pacing. "HI. HI. HI....OH! HIGH INQUISITOR! That's why that sounded familiar!"
With that, The ship roared next to Acambria, touching down just next to the Two men.

With a whoosh of void energy, the tenno dashed towards the blade and scooped it up before it could end up in the wrong hands. Another set of void-dashes brought them back to their original position next to Svy, holding the blade. "I don't think we're gonna get much out of this thing. You better go for mr-shiny-armor over there before it's too late."

The armored figure was doing his best to hide his thoughts from Mia, making sure that any secrets he knew stayed secrets. The infested creature, on the other hand, had something oddly magnetic about it. It was as if something was trying to pull at Mia through this creature.

The second Mia mentally quests towards the newborn infested creature in Svytoj's arms, everything goes black. To everyone else, her body would slump to the ground, unmoving and unresponsive.

When her eyes open up next, Mia finds herself underwater, with an enormous pressure bearing down on her. Barely any light penetrates these depths, and in the corners of her eyes black shapes can be seen, darting just out of vision whenever she tries to look at them. Far off in the distance, faint orange lights shine, moving slowly through the black waters. There if no ground visible beneath her feet, just endless depths. There is not a single current pervading the strange place Mia finds herself in, just an all-encompassing stillness.

Despite being at unfathomable depths, Mia found herself able to breathe and speak, yet her limbs and hair behaved as if they were underwater.

Mentally cussing, Mia suppresses an instinctive urge to draw breath. Calming herself down, she takes stock of the situation; inner psyches are all different, and there's nothing she can do but to play by their rules. Forcing herself to keep herself from falling apart from the pressure, she wills her *arms and legs* to life and begins laboriously diving towards the lights in the distance.

Out in the world of blood and steel, Aria walks over to the incapacitated Nyx and sits herself down in a cross legged position, jamming her greatsword into the floor beside her and laying her assault rifle in her lap.

Suddenly, movement. A colossal form glides through the water above Mia. It vaguely resembles a pliosaur, only several miles long. It was made of infested flesh, with bits of old war wreckage poking out in several places. Both orokin tower and sentient ship had been fused together to create one gigantic, nightmarish creature. Upon its appearance, the lights in the distance vanished. Slowly, the creature turned to face Mia, every movement of its fins creating a massive surge of water. Only half its face was visible, but that was enough to ingrain this creature in Mia's memory.

Three glowing orange eyes were visible on this side of its head, staring hungrily at Mia. Its mouth was a thing of nightmares, full of teeth larger than Mia. Even with its mouth closed, numerous blade-like teeth jutted out.

(You trespass here. This is not your domain.) The words appear in Mia's mind unbidden, though they don't carry any anger with them. Curiosity, perhaps.

The armored figure dragged himself a few more feet towards his sword - now in the tenno's hands - before collapsing. His breaths grew shallower with every passing second, and it was unlikely at this point that they'd get anything out of him.

With his movements ceased, the area grew still, with only the low churning of the infested flesh along the walls breaking the silence.

Looming over the pit, another figure lurked. the shape that of a dark green chroma. But there was something off; it had the right shape and texture, but it was as if it was half finished; half rendered and lit not quite right. Small, square, green and orange sparks flickered off of it as it looked on.

It is all Mia could do to keep from being washed away into nothingness, her mental arms and legs flailing madly as the *water* surge sends her form thrashing away from the creature. Tenno or not, if this were on the physical plane she would have been dragged down into the depths.

"...came looking for answers. got pulled in against my will..." Mia slowly forms in her mind, managing to stop her death spiral and make some semblance of stability as she floats in the dark ocean like a coherent piece of refuse. A myriad of emotions bubbles up inside; confusion, curiosity, wariness, tiredness. Hopefully this foray won't be the death of her.

Strangely enough, although she had definitely formed the words in her mind, she found herself speaking them aloud to the infested leviathan. The mental effects this would normally have didn't seem to work here.

Something akin to amusement washed off of the creature as it looked down upon Mia's small form.

(Do you even know what questions to ask?) the words burned themselves into Mia's mind, condescension dripping off them. (Ask away then, sibling, for as long as you are able.)

The Frost at the edge of the pit shakily dropped a med-kit down towards Svytoj and his 'patient'. Svytoj carefully unpacked the kit, still holding the infested creatures in his arm.
"Alright... You've studied infested biology and morphology, you've treated plenty of patients in the past..." he said, popping the cap off an epi-pen. "You've got this..." Svytoj quickly looked for a vein, and injected a pediatric dose of epinephrine into his patient's arm. on the other arm, he attached an IV line with a rally pack.

The adrenaline appeared to momentarily stabilize the infested organisms heartbeat, but the problem with the creature appeared too serious for that to be any real solution. As it slowly edged closer and closer to death, the weakening effect that had been plaguing the tenno slowly waned.

The Constable brought his foot down, and a large plate of rusted metal collapsed, sending the Constable and a large amount of sand falling into a part of the ship buried under the surface.

"...who are you? what are you? What is the organization trying to do with you, and why?..." Mia speaks, the mental liquid rushing into her astral form at severe odds with her ingrained reflexes. The condescension rolls off her mind, reflected by her own deadpan face. If this thing sees her as small let it, she's not in a position to say otherwise and quite frankly she doesn't care if it does so. What matters right now is being able to glean something, *anything* as to the methods, motives, and opportunity to stop the Hierarchy's madness.

(I have no name. I have no race. Your kin would refer to me as infestation, but this is not entirely correct. The Hierarchy corral my children, hoping to create new weapons to turn against you. The reasons should be apparent.)

A sharp pain stabbed through Mia's stomach.

(Now, you will answer some of my questions. This will only take a moment.)

As the words entered her mind the pain grew greater and greater. Then, something burst from her chest. Infested flesh grew and expanded from the source of the pain, budding appendages waving manically in the water. Despite the fact that this was merely happening in her head, the pain felt real.

(...I see. Fascinating...) It was hard to tell, but the creature sounded pleased.

(Shall we continue then?)
