Naramon Shadow Step doesn't work on finishers?

Question

I've been searching around the forum and it seems that everyone has different opinions about naramon shadow step not working on finishers (i.e. Ash's Fatal Teleport).

Can anyone confirm if this is true? I've been farming naramon points crazy to have it proc on my ash's fatal teleport (with covert lethality), and it would be a bummer if it didn't work on Ash or any other finishers for that matter.

Also, how exactly does this shadow step passive work within a mission? Does it activate after you've used naramon focus skill a few times? or does it just work all the time once you unlock it from the focus activation screen?

Finishers are not crits, so why would Shadow step proc from them. Not every damage number glowing yellow is a crit.

To activate passives you have to use Focus power once while on mission.

Finishers can be critical too though, seen a lot of them in red.

Yeah, now when I think about it, I regularly got regenerative procs from Hirudo on Savage Silence Banshee - it wouldnt be possible without critical finishers, because finishers is literally only thing I`ve been doing.

Kinda wish this part here would be remedied, as in making finishers a different color, hell a different font.  Something to distinguish it from criticals, it is quite misleading.  I see yellow numbers pop up when attacking while invisible.  Are those crits?  Are they finishers? are they stealth multiplied? who knows, its all yellow.

So I'm confused if finishers can red crit shouldn't it proc the passives? even with covert lethality? I mean as long as they are considered crits right?

for ash get 2 set arcane trickery to proc u stealth on finishers they are not expensive..

I was already using 1 set arcane trickery, but does using 2 set make any real difference as opposed to using just 1 set?

Well they can crit, but for purposes of Shadow Step there is no difference if its finisher or quick melee swing.

However it seems that finishers performed by dagger with Covert Lethality cannot crit, and thus wont proc a Shadow Step. Afaik those trigger some script that just plain scores enemy`s max hp instead of calculating damage like other weapons.
