If you're already eligible for the next rank (max mastery exp in current rank already) and level up some weapons, do they still count as exp in the next rank? Like, do they overflow in some way?

Yes. While waiting for you to rank up any affinity gained will still be added to your mastery rank pool.

You get all the mastery points. They are just not visible on the bar while you still need to rank up.

exp is not wasted. when u rank up the excess will go towards the next mastery

yes yes they do...u can stack up multiple mastery...if u have enough affinity

Yes.

You can end up having multiple rank up tests in a row if you hold off from taking the tests while leveling gear.
