dragon nikana + fatal teleport ancients?

hey im just wondering my when i use my fatal teleport with my dragon nikana on an ancient(doesnt matter type) it wont preform auto finisher for half refund.  It says on wiki its supposed to fail infested targets but i can still fatal teleport to runner and chargers.  Why are ancients the only ones that get the nikana proof when i can use the hirudo and one shot an ancient disrupter for 12.5 energy when the nikana takes 25 energy?  the former doesnt need life strike for life steal.

It fails officialy on targets who not have finisher animations, chargers and runners have those animations as far i know with most weapons, but others like ancients or drones would not have it. That why it fails since no finisher happens basicly.

Maybe its because ancients can only be sync killed from behind?

then why does the sparring weapons preform the finisher?  is my main question

It depend on the weapon type you use and on which target you use it. If your weapon type dont have animation for the enemy type, it will not perform a finisher.
