"I'm keeping that door locked for now, sorry." Tycho said. "I really don't want the crew finding out about me yet. Want to avoid a panic, you know?" Tycho didn't sound too concerned about Celeste at the moment, despite her disassembling the door with a surprising amount of efficiency.

"Alright, something else doesn't make sense." Efahz interrupted suddenly, looking at the projection again. "Why did Tarnas need half of this stuff? Why does this folder contain an entire terabyte of audio files?."

The THRUM grows into a highly tactile RUMBLE (like when you're next to a subwoofer) now, with anything that isn't nailed down jiggling like peas on a hot pan. Celeste's motions grow increasingly tense, as she continues taking apart the lock's circuits and hard locks. All around the door's edge, the metal framing begins to squeak and groan all over like holes on a bulletin board. Forming her free hand into a fist, Celeste begins tapping  down all around the door and frame like a nipped up cat pawing to get outside.

"I'd like to think so." Chegar said, hand now resting on the hilt of his nikana.

"On that note, any idea where Tarnas and his top hatted keeper ran off too?"

"Most of the cameras are out, but I think Tarnas may have made an escape. I saw him start to struggle when I lost sight of them." Tycho explained. "That would also explain the extra void signature, actually. If he did escape, we stand a chance at saving him." He sounded much more hopeful now at the thought of this.

"Actually, though, could you not do that right now? Like I said, I don't want the crew noticing me yet." Tycho requested. "So, if you could stop for now, that would be great. Just until we're done."

"What are these, code names?" Efahz interrupted again, scrolling through the folder of sound files. "These names make no sense. CrawlingGiven UpHeavy? Tycho, what are these?"

"Please, whatever you do, don't open those files." Tycho said hastily. "Please. I'd rather you kept your ear drums intact for now."

With one final tap on the door, Celeste stops her disassembling and turns around to lean against the wall; the room going dead silent as all the vibrating loose items clatter back to the ground. To the uninitiated, the door looks fine; but under any scanner set to view void energies, the entire side of the wall is glowing white from the resonating weakpoints with a giant bullseye right in the middle of the door.

"Why, what's it worth?" Celeste flatly asks with a small smile, the back of her hand hovering centimeters away from nicking the weakened slab of metal and caving in the entire room.

"You've locked me in here against my will, with absolutely no incentive, monetary or otherwise to stand around and listen to you prattle about saving the guy that nearly dropped me into an explosive coffin and break my neck in half, while like five hundred *injured* muggles outside with much bigger and easier to get favors from hang exposed to said psycopath and his fleshy horde while all the tinsuits are stuck here playing tea party as we watch your little extranet zombie videos."

"So I'll ask again." Celeste's tone goes ice cold, her smile never fading as her kavat crouches down by her legs into a lunge ready position, growling lowly in aggression.

"Alright... here's the thing." Tycho paused for a moment, almost as if he was collecting his thoughts. "I need to keep Tarnas made. It's the only thing I was made to do. It's not a choice. It's integral to my programming. I have to save him. I have to keep him alive." He paused again.

"This is the only course of action I can possibly take. I know I just showed up out of nowhere, but I'm the best bet for getting into the ship's encrypted systems. I can look through every working camera at once. I can save the crew with all of your help. But Tarnas must live. I want Clogori dead more than any of you, but Tarnas. Must. Not. Die." Tycho finished.

"As you say, you were nearly dropped in an exploding coffin and had your neck broke in half." Adrova spoke up, sounding annoyed. "Go ahead. Try your luck against whatever's lurking here again."

(be careful what you wish for, chief. you might just get it)

"Be careful what you wish for, *chief*. You might just get it." Celeste cooly says to Adrova, her voice never going higher than a subdued indoor tone. Inside the 'officer's' quarters, all ambient noise drops off completely, like someone pulled the plug on all the speakers. Breathing, heartbeats, shuffling, it all seems to disappear. Even the bleeping and blooping on the holoscreen sinks into a well of silence.

Leveret, having no particular direction in which to glare at Tycho, settled on crossing his arms and looking grumpy. "Tycho, if you're a 'full-time' assistant to Tarnas, why are you helping us? ARE you helping us? I'm not a fan of being locked in rooms when I have people to protect."

"I want to help you. I genuinely do. I want everyone to make it out of this alive." Tycho explained. "Except for Clogori, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Tycho paused for a moment again. Efahz kept scrolling through the list of files in fascination, seemingly ignoring the group now. Adrova glared at Celeste, arms crossed.

"I'm... sorry. I'll open the door. I just... wanted to talk to all of you in private. I'm sorry if I caused any more issues." Tycho apologized, a tinge of sadness in his voice. "Just. Please. Let me help you. I can be of help here." He pleaded. The door opens a bit before collapsing from Celeste's tinkering, falling onto the ground with a clang.

The clang never comes, the door seemingly falling onto a pillowy muffler with only the whooshing of displaced air betraying the falling slab of metal coming off it's hinges.

"You want to help, flip 'da chief's' face over there around before his wonderfully emotive scowl freezes in place." Celeste snarks as she turns around and hefts the door up, glad to have something to fiddle with outside the woefully unfurnished excuse for an officer's quarters.

"Random thought: if you want to ask for help, maybe locking them without an appropriate carrot dangling in front of them is a bad plan." she reproaches as she leans the door against the frame, blocking out most of the light and people inside from being peeped by any crew that weren't already catching forty winks. "Last bunch of people that locked me up certainly won't be doing that again as long as I still breathe."

Impromptu repair done she leans down and picks up the dismantled electronic lock, already busy picking it apart for wiring and parts. Ambient noise in the room picks up again, but still, not so much as a peep seems to escape the quarters.

"You... you want some big reward for this? Is that it? IS THAT IT?!" Adrova shouted at Celeste, finally snapping. "You want some reward for killing an insane scientist and the unholy amalgations of two freaks of nature? You think you deserve some reward beyond survival and whatever else you might find on this barren rock!?"

"Adrova, please-" Efahz said, interrupting the rant.

"SHUT UP! Clearly, saving lives means nothing to the kid. Of course she deserves a reward from the people TRYING NOT TO FREEZE AND STARVE AT THE SAME TIME!" His voice only got louder and louder as he continued. "You've done nothing but take from us, mock us, threatened us, and for what? Your help!? You said it yourself! You nearly died in your last encounter with the freak!"

"ENOUGH!!!" Chegar's voice damn near rattle the rafters in the room they all were stuck in, the light on his Warframe flashing violently.
He pointed a finger at Celeste
"YOU: This is NOT some scavenger hunt field trip. we are trapped in an icy hell, with some THING thrashing about out there; the only carrot being dangle ahead of anybody is surviving. I suggest you act like it." he then pointed at
Adrova."And YOU. You're barking and whimpering like some distressed terrier! You're doing EXACTLY What Tarnas and Clogori want you to do. Hell, you've even got me doing it now." Chegar lowered his hand back to his side.
"Both of you, Get your SH!T together. I'd rather we get to walk out of here than end up like hundreds of stories where the survivors lose their cool, turn on each other, and get killed by the beast on their heels."

"Do you feel you'd be able to resist Tarnas if he directed you to do something?" Chegar asked, his tone returning to his normal demeanor. "As much as I want to let you help, if you can't resist him, the most we can to is give you a ride off planet in a data mass: no assisting us, nothing; not if Tarnas then has a way to attack us."
Chegar now sounded melancholy.

Leveret was preparing to enter the bickering match as well but reigned himself in when Chegar took charge. "I...yeah, let's focus on getting out of here. Tycho, you hopped on board with the security scan, right? Can you be our eye in the sky for this? Things will be a lot easier if we can have a warning if sh-t's about to go south."

"Perhaps... Tarnas can't order me to do anything if he isn't concious." Tycho answered. "There are a couple of exploitable loopholes in my programming, so I guess it might work if you make sure he can't tell me to do anything."

Adrova started speaking over his comms, muttering something while walking away from the group.

"...We're making our way to the armory... Yes, we're going now..." It sounded like he was speaking to his team, not turning around to look at the protagonists (I'll stick by that name). A few moments later, four crewmen were standing in front of Adrova as he walked out of the command quarters. "We're going to raid the armory." He said quickly, momentairly turning around to face the protagonists before looking back at his team.

"Sorry about him." Efahz said quickly. "He's probably a tad stressed."

"I should have plenty of Data storage on this 'Frame for at least a part of you to hitch a ride, Tycho." He continued. "if you're up for it, I could use a few extra eyes out there."

"I'm not a fan of splitting myself up. Too much can go wrong. I can talk to you through your comms, though. I mean, I'm doing it right now." Tycho explained. "Investigating the void signature in the storage room might be a good idea. It isn't too far from here."

Please, take those two with you. Text scrolled along Chegar's HUD. Efahz was sending a message. I don't know if I can be in the same room as either of them much longer without shooting something, he wrote, referring to Ebony and Celeste.

"You know, I felt exhausted the moment you mentioned that. I guess the adrenaline kept me going." Efahz said, looking around quickly. "I probably should take a nap before I die of something or other."

"Fair enough." chegar said, tapping on his PDA for a bit. "Still, You should probably have some eyes going in; Stand by." with in moments, Tycho would be flooded with data from Chegar's helmet cam

Chegar looked to Efahz, and nodded.
"Alright. I'm gonna check out the storage area." Chegar said, un-slinging the Sobek from his back.

"Lev, you said you're on babysitting duty; make sure we don't lose any more" he said, looking over at the Frost.

"Sounds like a plan. Don't worry Chegar, I'll keep everyone safe back here."

He turned to Efahz. "Go ahead and rest, then. I'll keep an eye on everyone until the rest of the group gets back. Believe it or not, this isn't the first time I played watchman during an impromptu slumber party."

Celeste shrugs her shoulders as she tails after the Vauban, head still ducked down as she continues picking out metal from the electronic lock's wiring. Despite the flurry of footsteps as the groups split up, not so much as *clank* reaches the ears of the dozing redshirted crewmembers.
