Are The Corpus Ever Going To Make A Weapon That Doesn't Kill Them Better Than It Kills Other Beings?

The best weapons to kill Corpus are Corpus weapons (actually, you could sneeze on the Corpus and they'll die). They need something else in their line-up because it's really sad their own weapons are the most effective against them.

This...made me laugh so hard. Every energy weapon is made for killing corpus. it would seem there is a lot of infighting among the corpus guilds.

Maybe the symbols on the "heli-port" extraction points are gang symbols and a corpus war has been brewing from within X D.

it makes sense

god why do humans make guns that are good at killing humans? o.0 why not make them specificaly to kill lions

...

Problem is, we're not fighting other alien races that are somewhat different to us.

Chances are, the weapons we can research now are only Riot Weapons designed to 'calm' their populations.

That would explain why we haven't seen fusion or railgun weapons yet though they already exist in MOA form.

EDIT: Nvm Lanka is a railgun

Actually, we do.  There are 'big game' rifles designed to kill large animals.  Though, since lions are basically larger, meatier, stronger humans with claws and a chocolate allergy, they're pretty good against us too.

A more apt analogy might be chemical warfare.  We make incredibly effective pesticides and fungicides and herbicides for the mass murder of things that aren't us, while categorically banning chemical and biological warfare weapons that are effective against humans.

When you think about it, Corpus weapons being highly efficient at killing Corpus makes a lot of sense - it's a very deliberate design philosophy.

The Corpus know that armour can be strong to X degree, since they have forged armour and machines that strong. Therefore they need to develop a weapon that can split armour of X degree, in case they ever encounter an opponent as well-armoured as they know they can be.

So does that means Grineer are stupid for their weapon design?

.... so basically. you're surprised there armor is good at dealing with bullets (what most of the people they'd fight use) but not well developed against lasers (which until the tenno started stealing there S#&$ they never had used against them since they refused to sell them)?

Seems pretty damn logical to me.
