Unofficial Weapon Benchmark

I don't have a vid but Rhino with Stomp and Straith (Formaed 3 times) can kill Raptor in less than 3s

you know........................................

I really wish i could change the title of this page to... Weapon Benchmark.... or something similar. I've gotten sooo many players give me that same responce, clearly they haven't read what I've asked them to read.

Thanks. Yeah Heavy Caliber add to the base damage just like how Serration does. It is with synapse that bugged.

and THAT is my conclusion as well. yes I'm fully aware now my math was off. but the point I was trying to make was still right.

You can PM Megan, Rebecca or some of the Community mods to change it, can't you?

The thread could do with a better name, seeing people just read the title.

I think something like: "Unofficial Weapon Benchmark" would fit :)

Ok look through the video. You have forgotten to unequip and account for the Rifle amp mod during all the testings but thanks to that I realised that Rifle amp bonus only add additively, not multiplicative. Lancer armor is still 200, not 150.

Not really know how Synapse continuous firing works, but why during the slow motion lancer there is a crit 14 without using ammo?

Math for the Latron Prime portion

Unmod

Base Damage = 45

Rifle amp        = 27%

Lancer Armor = 200

Armor Reduction = 100/(100+200) = 33.33%  (Damage number will only do 33.33%)

Final Dmg = 45 x 1.27 x 0.3333 = 19.05

With Serration

Base Damage = 45

Rifle amp        = 27%

Serration        = 165%

Lancer Armor = 200

Armor Reduction = 100/(100+200) = 33.33%  (Damage number will only do 33.33%)

Final Dmg = 45 x (1+0.27+1.65) x 0.3333 = 43.79

With Heavy Caliber

Base Damage = 45

Rifle amp        = 27%

Heavy Caliber= 105%

Lancer Armor = 200

Armor Reduction = 100/(100+200) = 33.33%  (Damage number will only do 33.33%)

Final Dmg = 45 x (1+0.27+1.05) x 0.3333 = 34.79

With both Serration and Heavy Caliber

Base Damage = 45

Rifle amp        = 27%

Serration        = 165%

Heavy Caliber= 105%

Lancer Armor = 200

Armor Reduction = 100/(100+200) = 33.33%  (Damage number will only do 33.33%)

Final Dmg = 45 x (1+0.27+1.05+1.65) x 0.3333 = 59.54

Can you give me the damage number of Latron Prime with Rifle amp, Serration, Heavy Caliber and Piercing Hit together so that i can know how the Heavy Caliber affect elemental damage.

Ok thank you very much! Now that I'm awake and sober, I see how to do the math correctly. whats throwing me off is energy based weapons like Synapse. because of this fact, I'm at a lost to see how its working.

c-5 Synapse 11.66 seconds ( should have been 10 seconds flat!  )

http://youtu.be/PZVB1_QmkRQ

yeah I just went ahead and gave heavy caliber a try. I'll try without that mod and swap for bane next go around

***Edit.***

so tried it. 13.74seconds.

worse off with bane this time around.

Haha, something weird going on, can't see the 80+ number anymore in your bane mod video that was present previously. Can you do another video with the bane mod and replacing the hellfire with stormbringer instead? I suspect all electrical damage is treated as base damage instead. Can also explain how volt electric shield boosted way above the amount it should. It is also why serration, heavy caliber swap to become like elemental dmg instead, they swap the meaning of base with electric.

yes I will make another and replace hellfire with strombringer.

by the way you did notice I have hammer shot now right? http://youtu.be/NjX2pNPsdyc

Yeah, i noticed, that is why better times. Hope stormbringer has even better times.

http://youtu.be/doV4TdhCeu8

tested it. 13.35 was the time, you'll notice there was a very small section where I lose my aim. counted the time it was roughly 0.4 seconds. so my best guess for a perfect run would have been around 12.9 either way 13.35 is still better than my Bane + fire time of 13.74

forgot to mention. I went up 1 more rank on my HC mod. so throws everything off. I'm just gong to go ahead and redo some videos to get same variables for

HC+hellfire                  http://youtu.be/61-8nrOk0wQ                Time: 12.51

HC+Storm bringer       http://youtu.be/j-B2l9z-zns                    Time: 12.47

Bane+ Hellfire             http://youtu.be/o2KLhbKYyYU               Time: 12.78

Bane+ Storm bringer:  http://youtu.be/doV4TdhCeu8               Time:  13.35* (due to human error, possible 12.9 time)

HC+ bane - hammer shot   http://youtu.be/GTvhRqULdWw        Time: 11.9

really don't want to re-Forma my weapon but I'd like to try having NO elemental damage

Heavy caliber, Serration, Split chamber, Bane, Hammer shot, Point strike, Vital Strike, Piercing hit

This is so confusing. The old Synapse video with Bane and no hammershot had a highest damage number of 83 popping out. Now with hammershot highest number is still 83 with a new number 79 though. Your hammershot only work partially?

BTW they had the exact same timing lol.

I've done sooo many tests trying to get better times with the new polarity change. trying to see whats the best time. finally went back to my best personal time set up. ( no bane ) and got a slightly faster time  ( since I have 1 more rank added to heavy caliber )

time 9.83

C-5 http://youtu.be/rF7fKrEBIhs

compare to 11.66

C-5 http://youtu.be/PZVB1_QmkRQ

Also. while doing ALL these tests. I noticed something. perhaps its nothing or perhaps there is something to this thing i've noticed. but I get better times if i place Heavy caliber before Serration. i know sounds weird. but there is problems on sentential when you place its ability before its damage dealing mod.

I think it has something to do with the continuous fire weapons, on one of the videos you could see the gun shooting without even using ammo. I'm guessing that's why the damage can be like .5 ammos worth or one "full" ammo. Just my 2 cents.

yes. I've known about that for a while. but what got me really going in trying to find an answer was these 2 results

with bane

http://youtu.be/ABjM9r-mkpQ

with heavy caliber

http://youtu.be/iZepcOLAs-c

bane is 30% and Heavy caliber is 105%. if they both effect base damage. which I saw it does in the case of Latron prime.

then is it correct to assume I should have done it MUCH faster? instead of 1 second slower?

Bane is applied multiplicatively, HC is additively

Bane is 30% of final damage after all damage mods have applied. HC is 105% of unmodded base damage.

Alternatively, you can think of Bane as  ~80% of unmodded base damage in Rifle. So with a bit of human error, you can get that result.

Bane can be worth 137.1% unmodded base damage if you managed to squeeze in max Rifle amp, Serration and Heavy Caliber.

Yeah, but there is no number higher than 83 for "full ammo"
