Fang Polarity

What to put there? Seems rather crappy for a melee weapon; I don't really have any funky mods for melee that share the polarity....

The melee ice mod is a good mod to put there.

North Wind is what I primarily put there. If it isn't that, the only other option is Staggering Force.

there is ONE (good) melee mod with that polarity - north wind ( increases Ice damage on a melee weapon by 10% per rank for a maximum of 60% at rank 5.)

Two.

 

North Wind and Staggering Force, although, Fang has 0% base stun, so Staggering Force does not work with it.

Basically your question has been answered. The defence polarity is quite useful as a maxed North Wind can cost as much as 11 mod capacity. Reducing it to 6 will thus be a great way to conserve mod capacity. Good luck!

Just add Rendering Strike for extra Armor Pierce Damage (or Focus Energy for Shock) or even both if you want a "supportive" charge attack

I don't really have the  potato to spare (that's the term, right?) so I've only got 30 capacity. But yes, I realize now that North Wind fits - and Ice is by far my favourite element (the slow is uber!).

spare one, it worth it :D

 

if you don't want to potato it, my advice is keep the armor piercing mods and damage, leave the rest, and use north wind just at the 4th rank (so pressure point, sundering strike, rending strike at max). the other elemental damage isn't really needed and fury is an option :)
