Dragoon
Of all the exposition thrown at us with The Sacrifice, one thing that stuck out to me was that Umbra was *destroyed* before we found and scanned the pieces. Our foundry rebuilt him and not only did it rebuild him, that build had the same transference memories as the one before it. The Grineer are all about cloning and doing this and that to try and stay alive and genetically stable, though increasingly reliant on mechanical additions, but our orbiter has perfect, non-defect cloning available at the drop of some credits! The kuva requirement in Umbra's build has some validity in a similar vein as Continuity, but with Helminth having only just been revealed in the last few major updates and the foundry segment being long-established, it's interesting to consider how closely the two must be tied. It brings new appreciation to the Prime Trailers and Ballas' narration therein, as well as Mirage's questline, It also bears mention that Umbra's passive should in fact be usable by all frames, as indicated at the end of The Second Dream when the warframe moved itself, so Umbra does in fact serve no real purpose in that greater lore reality of the game, which I feel is a disappointment. It's interesting to consider that our Foundry doesn't just create items, it can create life. With how important the Helminth is made out to be, hopefully it becomes more than a glorified zit-popper in the future. Aeon94
I thought we would get some new gameplay mechanic involving Helminth but got nothing. Hopefully DE will expand Infested side of our frames , like they expanded magical side of Warframes with Operators :)
Hannah-Eliz
A lot of the points you have brought up are things I was hoping others would also realise! There are a lot of implications indeed!
(PSN)vl_Monarch_lv
Seems more like a plot contrivance than anything.
texrei
Crafting Umbra was pointless. Anyway we hunt and tame the original, so if they needed a way to implement him in inventory, why just not to send it by mail?
Zeranov
il y a une heure, texrei a dit : Crafting Umbra was pointless. Anyway we hunt and tame the original, so if they needed a way to implement him in inventory, why just not to send it by mail? Crafting Umbra was a smart move regarding the multiplayer aspect of Warframe. Few games think about the fact that when a player gets something unique, it feels strange when everone else on the server also has the unique thing. So they wrecked Umbra in the frist place so that every player can have his own recreation... wow, sucks to be Umbra. Cloned a thousand times with this painful memory of his. 😕
