(PSN)alexismartinez14
Just curious, i'm thinking of making tennogen and just wanna know which software is typically used. I personally use 3DS Max, but i may move towards Zbrush since you don't have to pay a monthly fee for it.
Lancelot185
Zbrush has a steep learning curve, and is pretty dissimilar to any other 3d modeller, but it's industry standard, so won't hurt to learn if you're willing to put in the effort. Mudbox is more similar to max, and is owned by Autodesk, so you may be able to get it for free depending on your license. Other than those two, Max, Maya and Blender are decent (at least for constructing a base mesh) and then moving to Zbrush/Mudbox for high frequency details. Overall there are a lot to choose from, but I'd primarily recommend Zbrush/Mudbox (Mudbox being easier to use, and still very powerful).
lukinu_u
I use Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter and bit of Photoshop. Basically, what you will need is something to sculpt high poly in the organic Warframe design (Zbrush), a software to retopology your helmets/syandanas/weapons (Maya in my case) and a texturing software (Substance Painter is probably the best aviable right now).
