GoldenGnu
jWarframe is an alert and invasion notifier written in Java (Windows/Linux/Mac) Warning: This project is no longer being developed and will most likely not work.If anyone wants to take over the project, feel free to email me at nkr@niklaskr.dk About: I wrote it because didn't want to get a sound alert for every single alert, only the ones I needed. Pros: -Cross-Platform -Advanced filter functions -Pictures of all rewards Cons: -Use ~250mb of RAM (~90mb less RAM in Lite mode) Requirements: -Java (http://www.java.com) Version: 1.2.1 (2015-05-15) Download: http://warframe.nikr.net/jwarframe/download/jwarframe-1.2.1.zip You do not need to download this if you have Alpha 4 or later, it will auto update itself (just restart jWarframe) Known Issues: -None ATM. Licence: GNU GPL Source Code: https://github.com/GoldenGnu/jwarframe Developers: -GoldenGnu (dev) -Tazmanyak (data) Special Thanks: -Deathmax for providing a great API (http://deathsnacks.com/). -Digital Extremes for creating Warframe. -Warframe wikia for all the great information about Warframe (http://warframe.wikia.com). -All the beta and alpha testers who helped shape jWarframe. DetergentPod
This is awesome. I just found out there a Gift from Lotus alert up. :D Can you add a feature where if a new alert pop up with the reward we desire it would give us a notification or make a certain sound to let us know? That be great. Overall it's great.
GoldenGnu
It should already give a sound alert when something matching the filter is found - only reason is if it's just opened (It does not give sound alert for the first alerts/invasions that is there when the program starts) or it's a bug... Thank you very much for testing the program :)
DetergentPod
I just got the beep now. :D Sorry about that. Awesome program. Does it auto start up during boot up or do we have to manually do it?
GoldenGnu
You have to start it yourself (for now). Good to hear that the sound is working :)

It happens after every dev stream for the past year. Not saying the op's program isn't useful (although we have really robust ones here on the forum now), it's just odd you didn't already know. I don't play or keep up with the news as much anymore. I simply log on to collect my resources from extractor check market or anything new then log right off. GoldenGnu
@gell At least, I hope someone will find jWarframe useful... I mainly released it to get feedback, new suggestions, and bug reports :) @ThePieBoy Again thank you for testing the program, let me know if you have any suggestions. :)

z.ck
Looks pretty awesome so far. The only changes I'd recommend are: 1) The ability to have the UI display smaller icons 2) Auto-update the program binaries upon execution

As far as I know, none of the other alerters have been released under copy-left software licenses like GNU GPL.
BloodKitten
nice, of possible, would like an option for alarm repeating over and over untill turning it off menually, also alarm sound change is always welcome.
GoldenGnu
@astronautzack Thank you for your kind words and helping test the program :) 1) Images Size: Will be done... 2) Auto Update: That is a bit harder to do, but, I'll see what I can do - The minimum is to notify the user when there is a new release. @BloodHungryKitten Thank you for helping test the program! :) 1) The audio alert should already repeat until you dismiss the popup message, if not, then it's a bug! I need to check the log (jwarframe.log) for errors: On windows: %USERPROFILE%\.jWarframe\logs On Linux: /home/.jWarframe/logs On Mac: ~Library\Preferences\jWarframe\logs You can send the log to my email: niklaskr@gmail.com 2) Custom alert sound, have been added to the todo list Thank you both for the feedback! :) Edited May 1, 2014 by GoldenGnu
BloodKitten
trying it a bit more, found out the filter is used to IGNORE selected alerts, it should be reveresd so you pick only what you want to be alerted for. also removing the login reward alert will be nice. now, as for the alerts, when i click the filter tab, i uncheck everything except of "filters" slot, will it alert me for selected items of intrest? or will i need to check "blueprint" for catalyst as exmaple? GoldenGnu
1) The default is notify for everything. I think that is the right way to go... 2) Login Reward is optional (and an experimental feature) - you can disable it in the settings tabs 3) Unchecking blueprints will ignore all blueprints (No matter the filters) Checking blueprints will notify on blueprints you have set to notify I usually uncheck resource if I do not have a lot of time on my hands (that is why it work like that). I would like to make it 3-way option: "Notify All", "Notify Filters", "Notify None", I just haven't had the time yet... Thank you very much for your feedback, I'll try to make it more user-friendly in the next release :)

GoldenGnu
Important notice: Most of the the helmet skins have changed name, that will render the ignore filters invalid. Please, check your filters! :) The upside is that it's ignore filters, so now you will be notified of all helmet alerts. If it was include filters, you would not be notified of anything... I'm working on a way to clear old invalid filters... Thank you to everyone that have downloaded and helped test the program! :) EDIT: I'm going to implement a way to migrate the filters. It will match the old filters with the new names automatically. Expect a program update today or tomorrow. Until it's released, you will still get notified of all the new helmets names (unless you update your filters manually) EDIT 2: Alpha 5 is now released, no reason to worry about name changes anymore... GoldenGnu
Alpha 5 Released Bug Fixes: -Login reward notified on the wrong time Changed: -Now handles item name changes (filters) Notes: This is the first release via auto update. Feedback would be very much appreciated.
z.ck
I'm very happy to report that the program auto-updated successfully when I started Windows this morning. You've done some really great work in short time.

GoldenGnu
@astronautzack Thank you for reporting back. The good thing about alpha releases, is that you can release new builds really fast, as bugs are expected. :P I only need to do "Custom alert sounds" , some minor code changes and we'll be ready to move to beta. That is, unless someone suggest a new must-have feature... @Saicoman Thank you :)
GoldenGnu
Just an small update on the helmets alerts: The API jWarframe uses, still use the old helmets names (for some of them at least). I'm working on getting the data from another source (directly from warframe), but, it will take some time to code it all. It's possible the current API will be updated before I finish. tl:dr helmet filters does not work as intended ATM. I'm working on it.
