Mobius1337
So yesterday I did some theorycrafting and I found some builds which are completly out of "meta" (you can't find them anywhere, not even on youtube) and they do more sustained dps than then usual build you are probably using. You won't find any Rate of Fire mods here, since we're going for the best ammo efficiency without losing too much dps, basically the best "damage per bullet". Grineer: http://goo.gl/FoQeUJ (Bane + Radiation + Cold + Piercing Caliber) Corpus: http://goo.gl/FIixsS (Bane + Magnetic + Toxic + Piercing Caliber) Infested: http://goo.gl/KTbAZq (Bane + Corrosive + Blast) Void: http://goo.gl/k8fDb4 (Corrosive + Fire + Piercing Caliber) Punch Through Void: http://goo.gl/LIJN6L (Corrosive + Fire + Piercing Caliber + Shred) I'm here for a discussion, prove me that I'm wrong or give me your feedback, ty in advance. Sustained DPS Chart: Flesh Ferrite Alloy EDIT: My Grineer Build: 20832.36 25279.21 29143.36 Viral Grineer Build 25958.29 22124.71 26659.21 Flesh Shield Proto Robot My Corpus Build: 22803.86 25774.29 23570.50 22124.79 Double Toxin Build: 22015.14 24381.00 24490.50 18181.57 Flesh Ferrite Alloy My Void Build: 18805.21 27533.86 19132.14 Full Corrosive Build: 17035.93 28039.43 18121.14 In conclusion: - I'm not 100% sure about my Grineer build being the best, since they are pretty close eachother (more dps against Ferrite/Alloy armor but less against Flesh) and the viral proc can actually change scenario. - About the Corpus build...you lose ~1k dps against Proto Shield (the shield of the best Corpus humanoid units), but you gain +800 dps against any flesh, +1.4k dps against normal shields and +4k dps against Robots, cool isnt it? - No Infested discussion, that's the build you should be running anyway. - In the Void you lose 500 flat dps against Ferrite armor, but you gain more flesh damage, more damage to alloy and the fire proc which does some good damage too and it isnt factored there. EDIT: you also lose ~500 dps against Ancients, so it doesn't really matter what you use, the two builds are pretty close. AhziDahaka
Personally, for Void missions I like a corrosive/ice combination--corrosive for punching through ferrite armor, and ice for punching through alloy armor and shields.

fatpig84
I use Corrosive Cold. Unless it is full on 4 CP then I switch to Viral Heat.
Xaelon
I would drop Piercing Caliber for Heavy Caliber tbh. Piercing is good for the gun, but you're only buffing one type of damage. If you use Heavy Caliber, you're buffing EVERY type of damage on the gun. You won't even notice the drop in accuracy either. I mean 25 acc is still more than most guns in the game. Nvm. Should have checked your links first...woops. I like to use shred in place of another a 5th damage mod personally. That way you're better against large groups of weaker enemies. Entari0
i dont feel like pulling up the buold now, but i tend to use a punch through/status build. by the time it starts falling off damage wise, it is generally time to leave anyway, unless i am trying to set a record. Mobius1337
Personally, for Void missions I like a corrosive/ice combination--corrosive for punching through ferrite armor, and ice for punching through alloy armor and shields. I dunno, I might see a reason behind this, but I've never had problems with shields in general in the Void. Actually, nvm, because there's a possible scenario where a Heavy Gunner can have a shield from one of their flying robots and factoring everything else, cold is better than fire. KaynArgyr
I kinda prefer Corrosive - Blast on all my weapons... It's a sort of all-rounder combo...

IMO, the only reason this is "meta" is that people don't understand how faction damage mods work. They're underrated as hell. Of course, they're more or less obsolete in the void since there are 3 factions but still.
Hatzeputt
No punch through at all means anyone hiding behind some card board cover will be save from your 20k+ dps and of course enemies NEVER try to take cover, right, right? At least use shred for gods sake. If you exchange bane with shred you don´t even lose dps (you lose some ammo economy though but since you will be eating ammo restores on the higher levels like a fat kid at the candy store anyways that should not be a lot of concern)

Mobius1337
So about corrosive+ice...I changed my mind again lol I don't support it anymore, since this is a Heavy Gunner killer build and having more dps against shielded units doesnt really matter in the end. Also, Orokin Ancients takes a -25% damage from Cold and they are another strong unit of the Void, so having a malus against them it isn't really worth imo. 24197.43 24703.00 You lose ~500 dps by using my build against ancients, so that put the 2 builds really close. SaintLucifer
This is what i use on mine. It may not do as much damage as some of other suggested builds, but the high status chance aligned with a really high fire rate ensure that the radiation proc happens almost all the time. http://goo.gl/mqV9T6
Inversus
The builds are good but I find generally in longer missions you'll run out of ammo (e.g. 40ish mins of a survival) when enemies take more than a quick burst of fire to kill at which point I prefer to opt for ammo mutation
