Cephalon Simaris Weapon Idea - Synthesis Rifle.

So with all of Cephalon Simaris's talks about going out and hunting people for Synthesis it struck me as of a waste that he doesn't give us more tools to do so, which is where this idea came in - Synthesis Rifle, a weapon that both gives the Syndicate a weapon reward and helps spice up scanning.

How it will work -

The weapon will be a hitscan bolt-action sniper rifle which allows for a slightly easier way to scan your targets whilst also causing up to one or two more Synthesis Targets to spawn per mission.

The Synthesis Rifle will deal no damage to Synthesis Targets if you shoot them anywhere except for the nodes, and shooting the nodes is the equivalent of scanning them with Synthesis Scanners.

The way the weapon would work is that it's zoom option will look similar to the Synthesis Scanner's view, complete with being able to track the trail of a Synthesis Target and view them on the target itself.

On Non-Synthesis Targets you will have a largely regular view, with one exception - enemies who you have full scans on will have a weakpoint show up on their body, which you can shoot for extra damage. This is based on the Detect Vulnerability Mod that you can get for the Helios.

Ammo will still be Sniper Ammo.

You can get this from the shop in The Sanctuary in the Relays, and it'll cost around 75,000+ Reputation.

10/10 would buy.

PS could its special explosion be that it scans everything in the area and regens scans?

I had a similar idea a few months ago.

Data Leech (Cephalon Suda): Procs 500 magnetic damage (only half of what Entropy procs). To make up for the damage loss, it adds one scan to your codex for each enemy surrounding you in a 15 meter radius (dependent on your Codex Scanner charges). It will not waste charges by scanning enemies that you already have all scans for.

I agree, it should scan on its AoE.

I think the codex scan MIGHT be a bit much, and it should be specified you still need to use the Simaris scanner to FIND the guy (if it wasn't, may have missed it) even if you can use this to scan him, but this sounds good.

Also think it should cost 100,000 rep like other Syndicate weapons.
