  1. I would like her ultimate to be a pure channel and what happens is it takes a way your weapons and instead your hands are on fire. Instead of running you float sightly above the ground. Basically then happens is when your press LMB you cause a massive explosion and with RMB you vent heat of her frame, setting nearby enemies on fire.

  2. Just before I start, I'm not trying to say that they should get rid off WoF, this is just an idea that i came up if they were to ever rework or change WoF.

     

    Basically the concept is this: imagine a fire version of Frost's Ice Wave but instead of spikes, the floor cracks and a firery trail opens. Any enemy standing on it is set a blaze and at the end of this trail there would be a massive eruption which deals AoE fire damage which ragdolls enemies.

     

    Also maybe as an augment for this, after the eruption ends there could be blazing rocks rocks which linger and any enemy who walks over it would instantly panic.

  3. The thing is, Ember is not meant to have defensive abilities because she is a damage caster. I believe they removed Overheat because it contradicted her role and also Accelerant is an amazing ability. It scales very well not only because it stuns, but because it makes your damage go BANANAS!

     

    As I've heard numerous times, people say they want the duration removed from the WoF because it kinda makes it a pain to mod Ember, and I kind of agree (but only to an extent). Obviously it takes quite a few mods to get a balanced Ember build which can be a pain since most frames only need two mods and they're set, but for Ember it sometimes feels like juggling a balls whilst on a unicycle that is on a tight rope: it's difficult. Personally I mod for negative duration with lots of damage and decent range, but for the long T4 runs I go max range for  the radial stun and area denial.

     

    In the end I would have to disagree with you OP because Ember is still a good frame like any other, however I feel she does still need a further look at from DE. Maybe just removing the duration will solve almost everything and also, I would love to be able to increase the range of Fireblast because it feels so insignificant compared to the Eximus's  Fireblast.

     

    Sidenote; DE need to fix the AI interaction with the Fireblast whilst under the stun of Accelerant.

  5. I just got U16 and when I open it, there is a message which says " your access to this channel has been suspended". It's really bugging me cuz I wanted to see this chat so badly. Also what I find confusing is that I have access to the DC on the forums so I know that I haven't been kicked.

  6. The first run I did was with a volt prime and my squadmates loved me for it cause I used speed. 2nd run I did was with a loki prime and no sentinel and my squadmates hated me for it. But hey I got it done twice!

    Nice one man! In my squad we went four Lokis (cause why not :D) and a Nova and the damage numbers went through the roof. If raids are gonna be this challenging then my body is ready! :D

  7. I wanted to start this thread to create a discussion so I can understand what people think about Ember in her current state. I do not mean to start bashing her or anything, just give my thoughts about her and I think could be done to improve her.

     

    As someone who plays Ember quite frequently, I have observed that not many people take her into high level missions for the same reason.They always say "she's not end game material" but I would have to disgaree about that. I went into a T4 Surv with a squad of experienced players who knew what they were doing and sure, maybe i went down a few times as I know that I'm not the best of players but my Ember was actually performing amazing. For this run I modded her for duration and range so I could mainly focus on CC as i don't really care about the damage and honestly it was great! Her accelerant is known to be one of her best abilities and I can see why; the CC it is capable of us so great and also because I had max range, it was mimicking Excalibur's RB (not in a bad way). When it comes to her Fire Blast ability, I love how it just denies enemies of coming near because it makes them GTFO if you can see them however.

     

    In terms of Fireball And World on fire, I would say I'm slightly disappointed. Fireball isn't too bad for a one ability not only because it can chain (sort of) but because when modded for a balance build of duration, range and strength, it can really be fun to use especially when in cohesion with accelerant as it's damage goes bananas! However as it has been said many times, the damage starts to fall off extremely fast as enemies scale (however i don't run x4 Corrosive projection so that can be a factor). This is why I mainly focus on the CC instead of damage. 

     

    Now we come to World on Fire *DUN DUN DUUUUUN*. Obviously, this abilities wrecks at low - mid levels (i would say about lvl 30 is the highest it could do) but sadly when the late game and end game come, I stop using it. For ember since about Summer 2014, never have I once seen World On Fire cause any sort of CC like panic or such, it has just been plain damage. I know it's been said that not ALL abilities are meant to scale but to be honest, the only way i was able to push level 30 with this ability was to spam accelerant which was eating my energy because now WoF has the toggle. 

     

    As i just said WoF has a toggle... and duration. but I still don't see the point in this as it doesn't have a special effect at the end like Mirage's Prism. If the duration is going stay, I feel it could at least be doubled, then at the end, all the burnt corspes could be lingering flames and the maybe if the corpses are close together they could create a bigger lingering flame and so on. However i would have preferred if they remove the duration all together so then I won't need a Primed continuity in my build so I maybe start to focus a bit more on power strength and get a bigger bonus from accelerant's buff. However I am planning on getting Fireball frenzy for the raids so I may need to keep the primed continuity for that, I don't know.
