Thats exactly what DE wants to avoid with the current system, they don't want you to be just throwing augments on for multiple abilities willy nilly making multiple abilities OP.
Just like with min-maxing it has to come at a cost or everybody will just put everything on, might be nice and easy from the player perspective but kinda kill the variety in builds as well as player choice.
Why would a player ever NOT throw Narrow-Minded on every frame if it had no downside? Why would you not stick every augment possible if you didn't have to sacrifice another mod?
I would rather they focus efforts on the lesser used augments to at the very least figure out why the aren't used, with a view to tweaking/buffing them. -

So would you support making all augments gimmicky and then having dedicate augment slots with no drain or buffing augments that are considered gimmicky and giving them reason to compete with other mods for slots in your build?

No one is saying its hard to do but its not the way DE decided to go.
As I said they recruit players into Design Council based on their presence in the community and an ability to give constructive feedback. See the post I quoted below.

Im sorry i started to stalk the forums since this year, i dont really know what we have here.
The Design Council doesn't decide what good for everyone, DE tries to do that. They do listen to feedbakc from users in on the forums in general.
They do ask for input from the Design council from time to time.
Any forum user can become a member of the Design Council and there is even a thread giving what they look for when they send out invites.

No offense but this is why the voting is NOT open to everyone.
The Design council is a subset of users on the forums, originally founders only but but now new members are picked from the users on the forums based on their contributions to the community particularly in constructive feedback.
The aim is quality over quantity.

There is a master to fashion frame, be yourself.
If you like the look of the Lato with no other weapon on Valkyr do it, throw on whatever syandana, armor, helmet and skins suits your sense of aesthetics. Then color to your hearts content.

Don't forget to have two of every frame, weapon and sentinel so you can can have 6 appearance slots instead of 3. You can also start matching all your mods configs to your color schemes for a unified theme.

Its completely random what stats you get now but DE has promised an update so that you won't get stats that do not apply to the weapon you have the riven for.

Unless they updated it for the better since I last played.Use it like snowglobe for best effectiveness, cast just before being attacked and for a few second incoming damage buffs the iron skin's health.
In late game its the only way to do it because at some point power strength gives diminishing returns and even min-maxed builds won't make iron skin strong enough on their own. -
The will create a post when they think its appropriate.
As for responding to existing posts, well you said yourself the number of them is insane.
I would rather they spend their time working on the reworks than responding to those multitude of posts.
If you want something more than that check out the devstreams where repeatedly they have mentioned reworks either in progress or pending.

Try Shred for even more punch through to hit more enemies behind the initial target, with your prime fast hands even though it burns through the mag faster it will switch targets more often slowing any enemies that come closer than the last target or simply re-engaging the last target if its still the closest.
And if you really want to max it ability to slow enemies, increase its range by using it on Diriga or Djinn.

Not to mention all those people who want to make it big in trading would be hootin' and holerin' once the bottom drops out of the market due to over-saturation.
The ducat prices would of course be adjusted and not in a good way, any stockpiles you have would become worthless.
