  1. This is pretty much "selective realism" going on here, OP. Nullifiers blocking Ash's shuriken doesn't make sense because they're just shards of metal, but the same shards of metal causing a MOA i.e. robot to bleed to death or causing a heavy gunner's armor to corrode off is OK?

A lot of Tenno abilities are based off of or styled after real world concepts or ideas, like shuriken or antimatter, but it's Tenno power, whatever that is, that makes it possible. Nova summons and/or controls antimatter through her Tenno powers, and when it makes contact with a Nullifier's shield it dissipates that power and also the antimatter. It's Ash's Tenno power that imbues his shuriken with their homing ability and ability to bleed heavily armored targets to death (through bleed procs and armor removal via the aug), so they bounce off a nullifier shield kind of like a bullet does. Works for me.

But they DON'T bounce off the shield. They disappear. On contact.

Limbo shouldn't pulled out of the rift. He's in another dimension so the nullifier can't even hit him.(manics can also pull him from rift) This would actually be really cool strategy for poor limbo players to rift walk into the bubble to them come out and melee. Limbo being nerfed to death is another issue all together (seriously enemies can use consoles in rift but not the rift-master himself).

And as a previous user said... things like Ash's shuriken shouldn't be nullified. it's just metal. It was spawned from Tenno power but that doesn't mean it's entirely made of Tenno energy. There are plenty of other abilities like that, too. How are they being countered? The nullifier detects the metal's history and then disintegrates it in an instant? If it had that power why doesn't it just disintegrate the Tenno entirely?

    Soooooooooooo basically dark magic?

  2. The original Arcane helmets may still be around, but there is a limited number of them left and that number shrinks every day. Just let them die quietly.

But what about the people who aren't giving them up? There are still many people who have a full set of arcanes and aren't letting them go or making them normal I doubt arcanes will ever fully die, why can't their function come back?

  3. Limbo need

    1/ more Shield then health

2/ his first ability (Banish) should hit Multiple target

3/ some DPS for Banish enemy, maybe ?

This wouldn't even go close to fixing his problems. In fact, it would probably make him worse, since you couldn't use the stupid excuse of a strategy where you stay in the rift and use finishers on enemies knocked down with banish, since you just banished 3 bombards and a heavy, not just the bombard. What he REALLY needs, is more along these lines:

2 passive abilities affected by power strength:

75% damage resistance int he rift (other frames have it, it's not op)

ALL enemies in the rift taking double damage

    cataclysm needs to affect items.

rift surge needs to go, its stupid and should be a passive.

If you're thinking he could just stay in the void the whole time, you'd be wrong, rift walk and cataclysm still have a duration, and it would be impossible for him to ALWAYS be in the void. His weakness would be how he literally has no control over the normal dimension. that's always been his weakness and right now its a weakness he can't make up for.

  4.      It's pretty simple, this issue existed a while ago:

original arcanes were a mix of appearance and stat modifications.

When people wanted function and appearance separated, DE discontinued these arcane helmets.

    The problem with this solution:

Arcanes still exist, and appearance and function are still around, you just need to buy it.

What I believe should've been done:

the arcane and the helmet should've been split, allowing people to have the stat boosts they like with the appearance they like.

Currently this could add a "stat modifier slot" to our arcanes as we have new arcanes.

Why this can't really be done now:

People payed platinum for their arcanes, and would be enraged if they were transformed into normal versions.

    Possible solution to this:

have current arcane holders recieve a tradable boosted stat modifier for each arcane they own. (a user who owns an arcane that adds 15% power strength and reduces 10% shields could recieve one that adds 30% str and reduces 15% shields)

I would like this to be solved, as people who have all the arcanes still have to choose between stats and appearance, and arcanes, instead of acting like a normal helm, aren't allow in pvp. I'm not one of those peole who have all the arcanes, though, so I can't speak for you, I only have one. any thoughts on this?

  5.      I agree, I'd like some more noticable rewards for MR. As in, I log in, and immediately I remember I'm MR14, that's why I have [random item, probably appearance, like a noggle].

because i got tired of doing the right/passive way

Same thing happened to me, but Dev bashing is not the right way to go. Bashing stuff that you think should be better to get a point across is ok, but Devs aren't stuff, and insulting people is never a good way to get them to do something.

  6.      My friend, Vidaren, had an idea a while ago about this. Basically, multishot on a melee would create a "Shadow melee" that follows the original with a slight delay, so its noticable. It would be a nice addition to melee, but just having a plain old multishot with no special effects like that would basically be just a mod that multiplies damage.

  7.      I know, there are a million threads on nullies, all begging for nerfs and none never seem to get much attention. Aside from how they block bullets with a shield that can only take 400 damage at a time, stop the use of abilities, and can one shot any frame with the sniper they got for not being strong enough with their other abilities(huh, that actually seems kinda nerf worthy) I'd just like to point out that they also apparently nullify logic too (gee, I'd like to get one of those shields. math test + fish = A+).

This is sorta asking for a nerf, but it's more about making them make sense, right now, they don't. They appear to delete everything labelled "warframe ability" that comes in contact with their shields. So how exactly do nullies work? if DE answered "dark magic", disregard this post. otherwise, please continue reading.

I just think the affect to certain abilities should be modified. for example, a nullifier shield just deletes amd. Amd, as it's name suggests, is a drop of antimatter. So why exactly do nullifiers delete this? Seems like dark magic to me. The most logical way to describe a nullie shield would be a shield that halts and disables tenno energy inside the shield. Ok, so, can't abilities in shield, check. disables abilities entering the shield, check. Neutralizes blobs of antimatter...um...no...I don't see how that fits in there. A better reaction would be if the antimatter is suddenly affected by gravity and drops to the ground, where it would explode just like normal, which would fit, as nova would no longer be in control of the amd since her energy would be stopped by the field.

Other examples of what I mean would ash's shuriken and mesa's peacemaker. They should deal damage to the shield, not just get nullified or ignore everything in the shield. Again, stopping tenno energy I could see. Deleting little shards of metal? Please explain how that works. And peacemaker: the bullets aren't energy, just the state she's in uses it, so I don't see why she can't shoot the shield. peacemaker already falls off hard in damage, she doesn't need to be nullified too.

Corrupted nullies: They shouldn't logically exist, their nullification shield should have nullified the neural sentry. can we have corrupted snipers instead? Or corrupted corpus techs? Otherwise, we need to start going on missions to cause anger between Corpus and Grineer, if they ever see a nullie+bombard and figure out they can do that without the void, tenno everywhere will be royally screwed by our new grineer-corpus faction that trains nothing but nullers and bombards.

Since I'm asking for the addition of logic, I might as well ask for this too: Nullies are kinda op with the combination of a shield, ability stopper, and sniper rifle. I'd like if their shield wouldn't stop bullets like it does, but rather be bigger, unshrinkable, and only affect abilities. With its current logic, it might as well nullify everything, including bullets, tenno (touching shields incinerate us), rockets, every other projectile, restores, everything that has to do with us, cause why not? they're already powered by dark magic, it wouldn't break any logic by doing that that it doesn't already break.

  8. There some frames to tweak before Limbo but i hope DE takes the info in this thread into consideration.

I agree. Although excalibur 100% needs it before limbo, IDK if frost needs it more, simply because he's a pretty solid frame. But I guess frost was in line before limbo, so first come first serve I guess. although by this logic excal should be after frost too. Like I said, I don't care when limbo gets reworked, I just care that de knows he needs it. THAT is the point of this thread.

  9.

at the risk of feeding some one that wants to just talk nonsense i will answer that.

at this point with all the wining like little boy's a buff,nerf,re-work call it what you like is imminent no getting around that now even thou i like limbo and have great success using him it has become irrelevant and as such i might as well try to influence the change in a positive way instead of having it dictated by noobs that would like to see him broken completely

First, I'd just like to say, I'm not trying to talk nonsense. I TRIED to go about it in a nice way, I MADE a thread that suggested ideas in a pleasant manner. Quite frankly, no one gave a damn. After looking around the forums a bit, I noticed this: Nice threads only get somewhere if they're about a topic that people are already upset about, and if you want to get anywhere with an issue everyone ignores, you have to make a huge fuss about it.

Your next sentence/paragraph is kinda hypocritical. You just told me I want to talk nonsense, and now you write a sentence that I can barely understand. I think you called me a whining little boy, and something about how a rework is already coming? Then, disregarding any laws of punctuation I think you go on to say that you're trying to influence his rework in a good way, rather than let it fall into the hands of noobs (which I think you're implying is me, that's what I inferred anyway) who would make him op.

Well, assuming I'm right, I'd like to say, again, I tried going about it nicely, I was ignored, now I'm trying it this way. So far, the results are pretty good. I've pointed out how buffing him wouldn't make him op (with facts), I've pointed out how he's completely underpowered (with facts), but can be used well in a good way occasionally. If that's your idea of nonsense IDK what to say. The truth is (I would say "undeniable truth" but quite a few people don't seem to have much trouble denying it) he's horribly underpowered and when it comes down to it, he has nothing to offer that other frames don't do better. Another thing that really helped to the whole "make a fuss over it" strategy, is that I'm SO SICK of hearing the stupid excuses people have made.

    "He's good for reviving"

    Get a trin.

"He can remove enemies from the fight"

20k dps boltor prime > your terrible excuse

"he can become completely invincible, blah blah blah.."

No one cares if everything else is invincible to you too.

"I can run a t7 defense solo with only my trusty lato unranked"

Good for you. I already said this, but I know people who can solo t4s's with their ember. She still needs a buff, and so does limbo.

"He has a steep learning curve"

I believe someone here already said this,  don't  want to hunt down the exact comment, but it was a very good point. That's a reason to buff him. he's not good enough for that crap.

Believe me, I want him to be good and not overpowered, but from what I can tell, people have tricked themselves into thinking he's actually as good as our other nice, balanced frames. They say he would be op with a buff. We have better frames, that aren't op at all. I would be happy if DE just addressed the issue, hell, even a joke about it in a devstream would make me happy. Any sign that shows me that they know he has problems. But right now, it seems they're just as oblivious to it as they're oblivious to the many Prime access users who got their sugatras shrunken. :/ I like limbo, and I wish I had more chances to play as him, but right now all his uses are circumstantial.

  10. I would only be ok with this if the version given to new players didn't have the same skin (hopefully a lamer skin). I worked really hard to get 3000 cryotic in a single excavation for my latron wraith. Newer players should have a chance to get upgraded versions, but I'd be pissed if they just threw away all the time I spent getting my latron wraith by giving it away for a few ducats. I thought the same thing about Dex Furis, they shouldn't have given it away this year just because now the people who were there for the first anniversary have nothing to show for it.

  11. These smart enemies would require huge nerfs to abilities, or else their intelligence will go unnoticed. Any changes to abilities are met with much hostility. People were so sour after Radial Javelin nerf that developers had to announce full Excal rework to remedy that.

What abilities are you talking about? In specific, most cases probably wouldn't be necessary.

  12. Thank you, DarkLordX2.

It is too long, I apologize. I was too excited about my current in game experience. I'll try to make it concise and simple next time.

    See you around, Tenno.

    PC MASTERRACE!!!

Lol, jk, I won't pull that here.

  13. I agree, this is the third post I've seen regarding this counting mine. DE is attempting to make up for the terrible AI with horribly overpowered abilities...like nullifiers... what we really need are dynamically scaling AI, NOT dynamic armor and health

I wrote out quite a few details of how it could work here:

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/442117-enemies-20-one-massive-change-that-could-fix-many-of-warframes-problems-revised-to-be-easier-to-read/#entry4908743

  14. Oh don't give everyone that spiel, most augments considering they take up spaces used for mods that provide more sustainability or general power aren't worth the equip slot because what they do just doesn't provide any practical utility past Mercury. What a lot of these augments can do you're better off using a standard mod for all around more effectiveness.

Some augments are genuinely good and others I've found have some fantastic utility that is otherwise unappreciated (Iron Shrapnel / Safeguard Switch) but most of them are simply garbage or gimmicks with 0% utility. Even worse are the ones that straight up bandaid the power, like Ember's and Frost's.

Point is quite a few of them need a look because they aren't practical and they aren't worth giving a mod slot up for.

This is exactly my point. There's no point in having a choice if the choice is bad. The great part about warframe augments is that even the best ones, like irradiating, still isn't necessary like corrosive projection. From what I can tell they're trying not to make them op to preserve choice, but in doing so they're Ironically taking it away by making the augment not worth the slot. My advice to them is to not hold back so much. augments should be slightly op otherwise they aren't worth it. In other words, they should remove pool of life from the game's code asap before it does any more damage to their reputation. It's just....so...bad...I have no Idea what they were thinking...energy vampire's too... additional health and shield restore augs are horribly underwhelming on a frame that can instantly restore health and shields with the press of a button. they need to repace those augs with something worthwhile, specifically debuff augs, like our abating link mod, which is a great aug.

  15. No. I spent money on PA because I was told that I get special items that I can't obtain in any other way. I paid 50$ for each PA, and now you want it for free...

You want shiny items? Ok. Spend some money on it.

I would be happy as hell if I would be able to buy/get Excalibur Prime, but I dont want them to bring him back because some people paid real money for the same reason I paid for PA. You know what it is? Empathy. Think how would you feel if someone would just give away for free things that you paid for

People give away expensive stuff for free all the time. Yeah, it's annoying, but it happens.

  16. I've never wound up Not starting a fresh mission, unless I was impatient and pressed the "play now" button after selecting the mission.  If you're starting a mission, and see squads there, don't hit "play now", and you're good. That button is your consent to be pulled into a mission in progress. It should be more clear though, I agree.

Friends only is misleading too. It really means "open but not public" so basically, lets say you start a mission alone in friends only. Your clan mates can still join you even if you aren't their friend, and then they could invite some random guy who you don't even know, even though they aren't the host. I usually play this way cause I often am not the one who wants to inv someone to a partially full group but don't mind random friends joining.

  17. In cases in which know that i will have to go afk few times for a short while i solo usually the missions so that my squad dont have to suffer from it. So a great addition would be a feature in which the mission is paused while you are in the options e.g. while soloing missions.

    What do you guys think?

You have to set the game to solo. I wish it would automatically detect when you're in a mission solo though, like it does in Borderland 2. I'll give it an upvote for that reason.

  18.

The idea overall is good, but tuning an AI is a great deal of work. I do honestly believe that the actual "difficulty" is a fodder to give time for a decent difficulty revamp.

While morphing the AI to something smarter, faster reactions and stuff is by far the most optimal solution, is also the most time-consuming to create and will ALWAYS have flaws, and we all know that a AI flaw usually breaks something.

Therefore i believe we should first get a different difficulty type and later on progress with smaller but worthwhile AI improvements.

DE, or should I say, Digital Extremes, is more than capable of upgrading the ai.

This IS a different difficulty type.

    I don't think that the health is the issue, more over the armor. The way it is right now, is that say I face a heavy gunner with a puncture weapon, easy kill. Bypasses the armor.  But then I use a Soma for instance, doing crits of 1k per bullet, and the armor reduces it down to 25 per bullet. The amount of armor enemies get after they start to get hard is insane and really needs to be toned down to a cap of 500. Unlike lvl 50 heavy gunners that get upwards of 10k armor.. ;-;

No, the way stuff scales in this game should be dropped entirely.

    1. Bullet sponges are not fun. Bullet sponges have NEVER been fun. Who thought bullet sponges would be fun?

    2. Getting one-shotted is not fun. Getting one-shotted has NEVER been fun. Who thought bullet sponges would be fun?

the AI in warframe is suprisingly good and the AI is capable of doing a lot that u wont expect

    but there is another problem

just imagine beeing a corpus crewman walking through his ship:

for some reason u have nearly no shield but u dont know why (4x shield disruption)

one door opens (lets make a slow motion here)

u turn to the door and see 3 tennos at the entrance

after putting down a snowglobe frost starts to reload his 5 forma boltor prime ready to aim at u

u can already smell the poison of saryns miasma slowly filling the entire room

still in slowmotion u see a tiny bastille ball flying towards u while vauban fondles his 6 forma amprex

in a fraction of a heartbeat u notice hat one tenno is missing

suddenly ur rifle dissapears and u hear the breath of a loki in ur back

now tell me what do u do in this situation beeing a crewman?

    there is only one answer:

    u die

    fast and forever

without beeing able to shoot just once

and even if DE makes the AI 100% more intelligent and better and whatever the situation is still the same for our small crewman

    but thats ok

one of the reasons why this game is fun is because u as a tenno are overpowerd and u can kill dozends of enemys with a blink of ur eye

and slaughter hundreds and hundreds of enemys in a single mission

u have to admit that this is fun to do

and the only thing that makes it still challenging and that breaks this situation is at the moment something like a nullifier or a manic

dont get me wrong i hated DE for inventing fcking nullifiers but i addapted and now im nearly used to them

and its ok that they are there its now more skill based instead of pressing 4 to win u have to do something to stay long in a mission

i dont think that having a more intelligent AI is that big of an improvement for late game

if u want to enjoy the warframe AI take weapons and frames without mods and play solo missions

i bet u will notice some movements that u havent seen bevore

    back to topic

if there is something that DE should copy from killing floor 2 in my opinion its the gore system or how they call it meat system

we have not enough death animation in warframe and one of the things u do most time is? killing enemys!

so DE should make killing enemys as much fun as possible wich although involves gore

What dafuq? No. I have no idea what you've been doing, but the AI in this game is in a terrible state. The AI from Halo CE (first one, released in 2001) is slightly better than it. It's very slow, straight forward, disorganized, and breaks far too often. My guess is they either used a stock AI they made a while ago, or built a quick one when the game first came out and haven't bothered to update it since. It's far below DE's skill level and needs to be updated, not just because it's bad, but because DE is trying to make up for how everything acts brain-dead by making them tank stupid amounts of damage, deal stupid amount of damage, and have horribly overpowered abilities,(enter: nullifier) but because of that, the game is unstable in terms of balance. Don't believe me? That's fine, cause I have proof I'm right. We, as of u16, have a gamemode where nothing tanks stupid amount of damage, and are enemies are rather smart. DE has done an amazing job balancing out this gamemode and I wish they would do the same with our normal gamemodes.

  19. OK my thoughts...

    TL;DR

Good point, fixed it so it's a bit more reader friendly.

I've been saying it for so long, all the frame nerfs aren't addressing the deeper issues. The enemies are too dangerous to engage without immortality or spamming killswitch or cc abilities.Enemy AI needs some devotion for each faction, and if not each faction, at least allow special units act distinctly diferent from others and not do $&*&*#(%& OP damage to my warframe wrapped in paper mache-shields.

To me if this was addressed the game becomes immediately extremely fun to play. I dont like dying when I dont make mistakes, but in warframe the game kills me even when I have no way to influence an outcome. Getting raped by procs and the most disgusting enemy, flame bombards and obscenely large AOE with --->PUNCHTHROUGH<--- . I cant think of anything more OP than explosions that pass through solid objects then cause you to burn through those solid objects (within the context of an enemy having this).

     ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ °)

Also I like your ideas for AI change, seem to be well thought out.

Thanks, The problem right now is that the enemies don't require any skill at all to defeat, they just run around, the only time they're hard to hit is when they jump on top of stuff in that stupid way-too-fast way they do.

My suggestions do sound like they'd be hell to add to the game, but DE is more than capable. They show us this on a regular basis, and it's in their NAME. The AI is probably the most neglected detail in warframe, too, everything else is amazing, but to be completely honest Halo: Combat Evolved's AI was more advanced :/ at least it knew how to ambush you from around corners and take cover at a logical time.

I have no doubt DE could pull this off, just again, probably would take a while, if this were ever implemented.

  20. Every Augment, imo, has its uses. It's just, like with Warframes and weapons, some are more powerful than others and thus they are overlooked.

Although, I will admit that in the current "don't think, don't fight, just run to objective" meta of the game, Safeguard Switch is, sadly, less than ideal.

No, My point is, with limited mod space for putting on augments, augments need to be slightly op, as to become worth that blind rage build or whatever else you sacrificed to put it on. if it's not worth the sacrifice, no one with a good build will use it, and it becomes worse than the effect really is. for example, would you rather have the new vortex mod, or extra duration? most likely, the mod doesn't outweigh the loss, making it far worse than the effect actually is.
