  1. Hi '-'
    i would like to talk about the optionals objectives, those for affinity bonus.
    There are 2 problems with those.
    1) The optional objectif doesn't take into account the type of mission.
    For exemple, "hack a console", in a defense mission.. <.<
    2) Sometimes, it doesn't work..
    For exemple "find a mod", "kill 20 ennemis with pistol", it happen that those 2, and other I don't remember, doesn't work..

    The optional objectives are particularly taken seriously by the new players, so seeing them do not work or be impossible to accomplish can be very frustrating.

    So, I kwow it's not a priority, it's not a blocking bug, but it has been a while since optionals objectives are in the game, no ?
    So, this 2 little problems should be fixed, for consider the optionals objectives feature "finished" 😃

  2. You ask that stasis doesn't affect bullets ?
    It's a pure nonsense °-°
    this ability is designed like that for reasons.
    The change you suggest is simply impossible to accept for balance of the game.
    This is the CC the most absolute of the game, it's normal that there is a counterpart.

    You ask that the rift doesn't affect teammate ? °-°
    what ?  warframe ? what is this  ? <.<
    The all purpose of Limbo is to be a coop warframe, who protects all the team to do the objective safely. Learn to play with him u.u
    There are plenty of way to play him.

    The only thing that I want on Limbo, to help with all the complains about stasis, is a visual/audio effect, on stasis, to warn the team that it is active.
    Because I think, lot of the hate comes not from the effect on bullets, but from the surprise to see his weapon do suddenly no damage (and don't understand what is going on, if we are new. )
     

  3. These are interesting ideas, but no, personally I would not like to play limbo like that.
    Limbo is perfect now, at 99.9%
    All these posts on Limbo are really starting to scare me, if you provoke a rework now .. I do not know what will happen, but I know it will not be good xD

    Limbo's only current flaw is the details of interacting with the objects of the world.
    For example:
    - when in the rift, he can activate the consoles of some elevator doors, or double console doors.
    For the other consoles, we are forced to do 2-4-3-4 to make sure to trap the nearby enemies in the rift, to get out of it in order to touch the console without being attacked.
    It would be much simpler if we could interact with the consoles in the cataclysm.
    - Cataclysm on a pod to defend, the pod is in the rift, but cataclysm on a room to hack, the consoles are not in the rift, the hackers are ejected from their hacking in progress ..
    This is not logical, neither practical.

    It is not because some people complain, that the situation is widespread.
    There are thousands of players, and yet not thousands of participants in these discussions. But the more requests there are for rework, the more it will make people believe that everyone wants a rework, while no.
    There are much more important details to working in the game, than making changes on stasis ..

  4. Stasis does not prevent anyone from using his pretty weapons with 4 forma.
    You take your time to shoot a bullet in the head, and move on to the next. The death of the enemy is guaranteed and you consume less bullets than emptying your charger in normal situation.

    Also, the fact that players' bullets are not stopped would be nonsense.

    The only flaw of Limbo is the details of cataclysm.
    A cataclysm that protects a pod or a console to defend, it works, the target is in the rift, so why, a console to hack, or doors's console, do not enter the rift and do not offer interraction?
    Worse, when Limbo is alone in the rift, without deploying a cataclysm, it can interact with certain elevator consoles, which makes no sense.
    So, if there must be a slight rework, it must be about that, to ensure that if a cataclysm is deployed, all the objects to interact are also in the rift, and that it does not cut off the current interactions, for example the Loki of the team who hacks the consoles of a spy mission ...

    About Vlad,
    At first sight, I liked it, his kit seems well thought out, and I even thought of small additions of details to his abilities.
    Then I continued to read the reactions, analyze the situation, and by thinking about it, (all night and until now), it's true, there are several things that are wrong.
    - His kit looks like Nyx's.
    There are already warframes that have similar capabilities to others ( nezha/rhino ), but in this case it's far too obvious.
    But it is the choice to integrate the notion of curse of the Eidolons that produces this. So it's acceptable, and to accept it more easily, you have to improve it.
    - His kit does not highlight enough his theme of Sentient.
    The Sentients are supposed to be powerful, to be feared, they scare the new players. But there, we have a warframe that does not make any direct damage, which is not terrifying, which only control the enemy and put them to sleep. '-'

    So, I would like to suggest some changes in his kit.
    He's wip, and we had a demonstration, so suggestions are welcome, right? ^^
    I thought of these ideas by trying to respect the basic idea, and of course I invite everyone to suggest things. 😃

    First, to control crowds, you need something much more impactful on the field, and less complicated than a ability in two steps.
    Also note that the powers that have 2 modes of use according to whether the key is pressed or maintained are very appreciable, (hydroid, inaros) and this warframe, which must be powerful in view of its theme, should have.
    So I suggest this...

    His 1,
    In simple use: a shot of energy, from his left arm.
    > Single-target, and also affects the enemies to 1m of the target, useful in particular in case of 2 grineer who make their round together, it is seen often.
    > Converts the enemy to our cause, directly aggressive and able to transmit his condition to others, including by remote attack. (affected by range)
    (Or, the aggressive state does not come until after a certain time, or by reusing the skill, or by the 3)
    if hold the key: a large projectile of energy, like a wave, which will go straight ahead.
    > Affects up to 10 enemies. Useful when you meet an enemy pack in a hallway.

    His 2.
    I like the charges of invulnerability, and the synergy with the 1, but it seems not enough to me.
    In simple use: Some charges of invulnerability, all the enemies who hit us, even at a distance, are stunned, unless they are too far away. (affected by range)
    If hold the key: Same effect as simple use, but in addition, we can overload as does Harrow with his 3.
    By consuming energy during this key hold, we wrap ourselves with a layer of energy, which will inflict damage to all the enemies who hit us, even at a distance, until our charges are consumed, obviously. The damage are determined by the amount of energy consumed.
    (Or, the enemy who attacks us is directly converted)

    His 3.
    It would be better to have more mobility, like the wukong cloud, but differently.
    In simple use, the ability as it has been presented.
    With ability to cross security lasers, and to be in a state of invulnerability.
    If hold the key: control of our trajectory, flight, and consumption of energy according to the distance traveled. It will accentuate its vampire aspect, and it will allow to pass on all our controlled enemies dispersed everywhere.

    His 4.
    The sleeping area is clearly not in its place in this warframe ..
    On a 4, you need something impressive, and having the theme Sentient, we can only think of the laser. I would opt more for a massive deployment of energy.

    In simple use: an animation to concentrates the energy in his arm, and releases it in spherical zone, which propagates, a little in the manner of the proc magnetic of the teralyst.
    > damage according to the number of enemies under our control. This is the "build up" part
    If hold the key: animation to concentrates the energy in his arm, that he releases in the form of a thick laser which it is used to wipe the zone turning on itself.
    > damage according to controlled enemies
    > All controlled enemies hit by this laser are automatically destroyed if they are more than 5 at launch, regardless of their remaining health, and they explode by converting normal enemies around them. At the same time a reset of the "build up", and we chain directly.

    I think this kit offers more possibilities, more resourceful than the current kit.
    More ways to approach groups of enemies.
    - We prepare its 2 depending on whether we want to stun some enemies to convert them for free, or if we want to inflict damage to respond to their attack.
    - The 1 remains more or less the same, and maintains it for launching in wide shot will be a choice to make, considering the additional energy consumption.
    - The mobility offered by the 3 will give him a real .. charisma.
    The similarity with wukong remains the least serious similarity between warframe, since we almost never see wukong and even less wukong that uses their cloud shape.
    - The 4 is meant to be impressive and devastating, but requires having played the other abilities before to be truly effective, so the risk of spam 4 is discarded.

    As for his passives, and the absorptions of health / shield / energy, everything is good in actual state I think. Its survivability is assured, and its energy management will be interesting to play.

    As I said, I think a warframe on the theme Sentient must have powerful abilities. I think I respected his crowd control orientation, while adding the power of mass destruction he must have in view of its theme.

    I have absolutely no idea if these ideas will be heard by DE, if they will be taken into consideration, if they will show the wish to see this warframe be impressive...
    With that, I go back to help the new players on twitch, and I trust DE to make us a beautiful warframe that will meet our expectations and cause the least possible complaints xD

  6. Some of these suggestions may seem too strong, but given its lack of direct damage, to be a good crowd control warframe we must not deprive ourselves of more control 😄
    Also, all these ideas could as well serve to his future Syndicates mod.

    His 1, it is intended single-target, I would suggest that it becomes a cone zone, like the 1 of limbo, if it is maintained, and that its cost is adjusted according to the number of target.
    For example if it costs 25, the first affected target will consume 25, and the following will consume 12 each, but it will not affect more than 5 targets in this cone.

    His 2, seems perfect in the state, but I would suggest a significant duration of stunning, and a drain of the health of the enemy, like a bleeding proc.
    A drain that will stop if we "charm" the enemy by any means.

    His 3, it is beautiful, frankly bravo, but I would like to suggest more maneuverability.
    Being able to direct it if it is maintained, with a small additional energy drain depending on the distance traveled.
    The speed does not need to be increased, it is above all a power whose function is to convert the enemy in stage 2 of control, I understood correctly, so to move with, is not the principal, but imagine 1 second the prestige he will have to move to an upper floor on a map of the void for example, moving in fog.
    Another idea would be to make it able to cross the security laser, without damage, and without triggering alarm. Oh, and don't forget the invincibilty please ^^
    ( like tidal surge, of hydroid )

    His 4. It seems very good to me, but I would like to suggest that the range is boosted by the number of enemies under our control around us when we use it.
    Also, it is a circular area, but I would like to propose that we can send it right in front of us if we maintain the 4. This could be a very useful power to play stealth.

    I have absolutely no idea if there is any chance that these ideas will be heard, considered, or inspiring, I propose them simply because I have long awaited a warframe on this theme, with this kind of aesthetic and that I would not want him to miss the little detail that would make it perfect.
    Even without these ideas, I know it will be a very good warframe that will need to manage well what we do, and that's what I like.

     

  7. I read a lot of threads about limbo, on this forum or elsewhere, and the most frequent argument is, "he forces players to use melee"
    what ? '-' no he doesn't..  To use melee is the first.. reflex yes, but you can.. prepare nice heashots, put just the right quantity of ammo per ennemies and go on the next,
    and when statis end, all is dead 😄


    Anyway, for me, a good limbo, knows what he does, when he send target in the rift, he has a plan.. hopefully ^^'
    And when he stops time, he pays attention to what does his team, to know when to release time. With some duration a limbo has 40-50-maybe 60 sec of stasis and cataclysm, of course in less than 20sec all ennemies are dead by melee or with projectile coming at them..

    A bad limbo, can do.. 2,4,3,4 '-' and all ennemies are trap in the rift, alone with limbo xD
    But that, is also a good maneuver if the limbo want plenty of ennemies to play with, without the cataclysm, but, the limbo has the responsability to kill them all, quickly, or invite players with a banish or a portal.

    Or.. 2,4,let time pass.. 4 '-' ( ennemies out of the rift, bullets inside, even if they resume, they will hurt nothing xD )

    Personnaly in public group, i use my 4 for nuke sometimes, on the most populated aera ( ennemy radar helps ), otherwise, i mostly use him outside of the rift, with a good weapon, and I enter the rift just to approch safely big targets, like nox, that i capture with a "proximity banish" with time stopped..
    I use 2-4 only if i see that the team is in danger, ( 2 downed for exemple ).

    seriously, don't let the players who discover him, or use him badly, give you bad opinion on him. It would be a shame if that perfect gameplay be ruined by complains due to bad encounter, whereas players who understand him are really usefull in team, like his design wants it.

  8. Hi, i'm french, sorry if i use bad english.
    Limbo.. I love it *-*
    And, i understand that before his rework he was hated, but now.. I don't understand..
    Stasis stops time, ok.. it stops bullets.. ok.. but mobs too. so.. don't worrie about your damages, the damages will occur, when the limbo decide it..
    Plus, stasis gives you all the time you need, to place headshot, you can kill in melee, and warframe's powers ignore the rift..
    With a limbo in game, with a big bubble, everybody is.. safe..
    I really don't see what you want change on limbo..
    When I send a player in the rift because he was between me and some mobs, I enter the rift and I recast, to extract him..or maybe I cast a 4 if it's an appropriate situation..
    Limbo is also made for strategic play, you don't place your 4 anywhere..

    The only thing, that I find problematic, it's when mobs are stop againts the bubble, there, it's sometime difficult to damage them because they are in the rift, but maybe not enought.. I don't know how to explain it..
    I think maybe, if mobs were push / suck in the bubble when they touch it, it will help a bit..

    If you find that banish touch too often players.. hm..
    Maybe change this, in a charged ability, your simply press it to banish a single target, like before the rework, and you charge it ( very little time ) to use it with the "cone zone".. no ?

    Anyway.. I think "everybody hate limbo" because, the bad feedbacks about him are simply more visible..

    about his "nerf", I heard he was too violent.
    But I think, using the 4 as a nuke, doesn't match the character's style.
    So i understand why they reduced the damage.
    It's a control ability, made for invited limbo's world, in our world
    But i think, limbo's world isn't dangerous enought for enemies.
    I think it needs a "moving element", something to.. haunt the rift.
    If I was a dev ... hm .. I will change the rift surge like this:
    It will not touch all the ennemis, all at the same time, it will spawn a kind of "spectral / smoking" entity, which rushes on the enemies, crossing the wall if necessary, to apply the buff like now, inflict damage, and damage will increase with each ennemy touched. No ? ^^'

    it's just an idea that could give more "magic" to limbo ... but he is fine in his current state ... He can always control the entire map xD

    anyway, please, when you see a limbo..  it's a player.. an intelligent being.. if he stops mobs, then.. let him take care of these mobs..
