just give all the melee weapons the same momentum and coptering distance and peace will resume once again
Movement depends of your melee never was the meta, so i dont see why

I like being able to control my movement entirely with my melee weapon, feels very free, just me and my melee weapon. It also doesn't require me to interact with walls/other objects in the game. Need to fly? Copter. Need to go high? Directional melee. Plus you get in a flow with your melee weapon, Dual Ichors are probably my favorite weapon in the game mainly due to how familiar I am with it's coptering distance. Not looking forward to this change.
That you say, are the reason on why they are fixing it, the movement from your melee comes from a bug...
With the new system we are going to see more diversity on melee weapons choose, no just for copter because a bug...
We are going to see new awesome mechanics that let you enjoy the game in another way, desingned for move, not dependent of your melee...
Thats the meta...

DE Scott restated as recently as the last devstream (54) that coptering is being reworked. Why would Steve contradict that?
...and If you're referring to comments like this one, this in no way implies a removal of coptering.

Yes, like a slow frame, you have to learn how to move fast, no use a bug/explot on your melee, for some reason all warframe have differents stats you know...

Why can't we keep coptering and get parkour 2.0. I am disappointed.
Because, why you are going to do parkour, when you can swing your melee and fly 100000k/h and ignore all other movement mechanics, they are fixing that bug called coptering.

No one ever said coptering is being removed. DE Scott has said at least three times in devstreams that it will be REWORKED to make the possible distance covered a bit less ridiculous. So why are you guys even addressing this thread?
You have to read steve twits, he have say, it is going to be removed.

It eventually became a necessity, though. Some maps are just pretty hilarious distances to cross, and not all of them have the priviledge of giving you a wall.
The purpose of DE, i dont think it was "lets create huge maps, so people can use that bug called coptering, and finish the mission on 2 minutes"

I dont think they have to banned it from conclave
And i dont understand why they have to nerf the skill damage, there is no point of use warframe skills, if they nerf the damage...

I was for removal of coptering since forever and i dont think we will lose anything if it is removed completely.
Only fear about Stamina 2.0 that i have is that we might end with something like "U10 stamina rework".

You all miss the point. True coptering is about freestyle movement not speed.
I dont think about "freestyle"
It already have a BIG limit based on your melee weapon, there is not balance, be fast for your melee weapon and not for your warframe, there is not balance on a full moded melee weapon copter less than a unmodded..
There is no why that bug still exist on warframe, people liked it, ok, but now it is going to change, remember excalibur?
There was people who never like the idea of removal of super jump, but here we are, a new and amazing change on him...
And about coptering, nice time to fix it.
I dont see DE making one awesome movement "skilled" mechanic, just for being ignored for slide or air atacks... because some people liked it...

Coptering never was hard to do...
This new system is more "skillfully" change. -
If you read all the steve twitts, you can see what he have say...
Coptering as mobility tool, is nothing on the new system.
