So you'll be processing refunds for the bait-and-switch yes?

I don't know about Canada but in the UK we have laws requiring sales to be as-advertised and not suddenly switch to something else a bit later on developer whim

Yeah, basically the way I see it is: maybe you meant to do something else, oops! But at this point, do you want to respond to countless support queries about refunds every day?

You paid good money for a skin meant for the non prime, as the icon for the skin will show. You used the content in a way that was a permitted oversight, which is now being corrected.

You're trying to argue for one appearance over another, which rubs everyone the wrong way because it's subjective.

What we're trying to say is, regardless of what one's opinions are over which looks better, the way it was originally is what people expect and invest money around. That's already happened, perhaps it was a mistake, but now that people have invested, it needs to be worked around. Saying "it should have been like this from the beginning" doesn't undo the fact that it wasn't, for better or worse.

Would a skin getting PBR treatment count?  That I think is fairly commonly accepted as an improvement though.  There's also a lot of colour pallets that got changed due to a bug that made them look desaturated but that was resolved by giving us the 'Legacy Colours' toggle, effectively giving half a dozen extra sets of colours to people for free (and you can mix and match legacy and normal colours by marking legacy ones you like as favourites then switching back).

The PBR did occur to me, but those allow more options without changing the original appearance (in otherwords you can always leave it default or gold). Obviously also exclude minor fixes such as clipping.

All players already know and have to acknowledge before they are allowed to play the game that DE is going to change the game and content may not remain as it was when it was purchased. It was their own choice to not read that part.

While that's understandable for gameplay content and mechanics, that hasn't ever come up with appearance before - since it's just an art asset that doesn't need rebalancing.

Once again the vocal side of the WF community shows how ignorant, faithless, and ungrateful they are. I'm sorry that a lot of people liked the way some Tennogen skins looked with Prime bits. But the truth is most people liked them without, and the Devs have to cater to what most of the community wants, not just to the loud minority.

Engineering is about getting the best results for the least compromise (and there will be compromise), which is exactly what DE has accomplished.

And no, this isn't sudden, without warning. This has been in the works for months, DE has mentioned it mentioned it several times in clear language that this would be implemented and why.

Its understandable that many of you will be unhappy with this development, but you, in turn, should understand that the greater half of the WF community feels just the opposite, and their thoughts and feelings on the matter are just as valid as yours. They too payed RL money for Tennogen and were unhappy that Prime bits ruined what they paid for.

Unless this warning was given to us as a notification before purchase, it still doesn't change the fact that a purchased item was changed. There's no guarantee that everyone that bought a skin was informed.

On the Steam Workshop itself, where they submit their creations and fans vote for their favourites!

    http://steamcommunity.com/app/230410/workshop/

This doesn't include any external marketing/showcasing they do on these forums or other websites.

Why would I have thought to go to that site? Everything is in the game client.

Don't get me wrong, it's great that such things exist. It's just that everyone's level of participation varies. For many people, it's still a product at the end of the day. And while it's nice to look at the other stuff, since you don't have to in order to purchase, all the buyer knows is that it's changing.

If things were purchased through the workshop, then things would be being sold without the prime bits advertised. As is, they are generally purchased through the arsenal previewed on our own warframes. As such, they are effectively being advertised with the prime bits currently.

This - there is literally no requirement to view any other presentation or advertisement to purchase the skin.

All skins will still be completely compatible on Prime Warframes! They will work similar to Deluxe skins in that the Prime model is replaced by the normal model. It will still be a Prime, it just won't look like it!

Not a single creator or artist displays any Prime details in any of their work - the item sold is completely Prime-detail free in its presentation and creation. It was a 'happy accident' that prime bits were showing through but it's one we have to fix as per the post.

I only see what I see in the skin purchase screen in my arsenal. I was never told I should research my purchase elsewhere. I actually still don't know what page you're referring to, where the artists display anything?

That appearance was for the Warframe you bought it for. That appearance by design and presentation on the workshop was for the non prime. You got exactly what you paid for, you just expected it to be something it was not. They are not required to refund you for your illogical expectations not being met. I cant demand a refund for a booster because it didn't give me the amount of resources I expected it to give me.

The logical expectation, is that when I see something in a preview, and click buy, it should stay that way. They never communicated what was intended or not. The user should also not be expected to check a separate website and research a cosmetic purchase. As for the warframe, I bought the appearance for nova prime, so it should continue looking like nova prime from my perspective. You can't just change what you purchase through a preview, again without communication (no pop-up for example saying otherwise), without losing good faith.

Considering DE only got a portion of the funds from Tennogen items, steam another, and the content creator the rest? No, I don't believe DE can offer a refund since they only have a small portion of the funds to return.

Then they'll have to refund me out of their own pocket. I bought a specific appearance for a lot more money than even normal plat items. And that appearance that I clicked to buy, is no longer the appearance I will log into. I bought a thing, and it's no longer that thing.

  11. NONONO

I specifically liked that prime parts still showed through, while allowing you to customize the very plain textures often found on some of the older primes. Just look at nova - her neck and metal parts are very distinctive, but her textures are flat and boring.

This is a deal breaker. On that note, can you introduce a refund for tennogen skins? I won't be using mine anymore.

  12. Invisibility from Warframe abilities, including Ivara's Prowl, Ivara's Cloak Arrow, Loki's Invisibility, lowers some sound effects so as to be inaudible. The gameplay consequences are that some critical sounds that are important to game mechanics do not get heard by the player. An example of this is the sound of Kuva during a Kuva Siphon mission becoming inaudible, so that you cannot tell whether a cloud has spawned/is moving. Even though these abilities grant gameplay effects that are only about making the player unable to be seen, it adversely affects the player's senses when it comes to perceiving things that are not otherwise affected by the ability.

very few frames are viable? daaamn then i must have been dreaming when i used "low tier" frames like oberon or zephyr in endurance runs. i'd agree with weapons but frames being unviable is just a nono. and you also have to consider that those runs are the only thing thats remotely challenging enough for so many old players. nerf those runs into oblivion and you made endgame even more contentless.

That's power creep though. This is a step towards making more normal missions a little more engaging, which I'd rather have than the situation you described, where the rest of the game is made irrelevant.

  14. You can use abilities on them, this isn't really an issue. And if you're concerned about weapon types, this is why we can equip multiple weapons. If anything, we've gotten too used to the rule of thumb of "just have one good gun on you", instead of having to think of a loadout with complimentary guns .

    5. every enemy after 1 hour in survival is a eximus

The game isn't, and shouldn't be, balanced around going hours into endless missions. The loadouts that can do that already are extremely limited (very few frames and weapons are viable), and there's no reward to be had but bragging rights.

  15. While most complaints about sortie rewards are Opinions, I agree that lenses are the only reward that needs to go; they have no alternate purpose if you don't need them, and they have no trade value.

Add to that: the undesirability of severely underpowered schools, the increased cooldown with using additional traits, and the finite possible progress.

Oi, max range is part of a build I plan on using. It's not meant to deny drop pickups, it's meant to allow me and other players to vaporize as many enemies as possible before I disappear into the rift again. :c

Thing is, 99% of the time I can vaporize those enemies regardless, and being able to pickup items is much more important and/or convenient.

I came here to say Limbo, because his abilities most actively inhibit gameplay. I don't need the energy, I came to a public match self sufficient. Between not being able to pickup items, and having to roll out of surprise banish, and having random enemies or mechanics blocked off, I have a hard time imagining a scenario where Limbo pulls his weight without being overly specific and planned. His most direct application in my opinion is Rescue, but even then I rarely if ever find I actually need help keeping the hostage alive.

  17. I think it would make sense to make Natural Talent an exilus. We already have Speed Drift, which is just part of a Natural Talent and part of a Rush. If Rush can be an exilus, why not Natural Talent? Since typically it's a quality of life mod that I can use only if there's a free slot (so, rarely), it would just be a good fit for what exilus are for.

  18. Eh I still don't feel compelled to go to Kuva Fortress, though I really like the tileset and want to be there. Kuva heavy gunners are always around in the kuva siphons, which give me kuva as well as chances at the drop. Are there simply more spawns in the actual Kuva Fortress tilesets? Regardless, if I'm going to be doing siphons for the foreseeable future, I just don't see the point of going out of my way and farming for one thing, when I could do both at once.

  19. I got sick of my kavat getting stuck several rooms behind and then dying. I don't know why this plagues me in particular, but for some reason the behavior to teleport to player just lags or doesn't happen at all, and I've had it several missions in a row. It's like having to babysit and revive a bad pug but in every mission.

That and what others have mentioned. The damage doesn't matter, as I have well forma'ed weapons with rivens that can take out just about anything, whereas sentinels have unique utility. Guardian (I know shields get a bad rap, but it helps when taking consistent DoTs), medi-ray, VACUUM, and also vacuum. Then there's ammo case which has added a whole new level, as I can make more use of good but ammo inefficient guns (good example, synoid gammacor).

I do not use the attack precept, as I find the sentinel survives far longer when it doesn't attack and draw enemy fire to itself.
