as a toggle....sure...but overall....no, her 3 is doing exactly what its description is and what the player will have to deal with.

Sure technically it's "realistic" but it's a video game with space magic, tons of stuff doesn't make strict sense.

    A toggle would be nice.

Edit: Also this comes up on other frames, a good example is Ivara's Prowl. In that case, it doesn't actually make sense that an ability that makes you not seen, also makes you also not able to hear. It hinders me in the same way.

Also how does Sonar work if there's no sound?

  2. So, I really like the idea of Banshee, and I've tried to play her extensively. The issue I have is with the muffle effect from Silence on the game's sound effects. First of all, I find it much harder to be aware of my surroundings when I can't hear the full sounds as normal; this applies extra to Kuva which is what I mainly do day-to-day, where normally I can pinpoint the Kuva cloud before I see it by hearing it. Unfortunately in that case, the cloud is muffled to almost be silent. It's also just an unpleasant effect for me, as it sounds like your ear getting stopped up, you know? And lastly, I just like hearing the game's sound assets, as well as gun effects and gun feel.

So yeah, I wonder if something can be done regarding this? Either a UI option, or adjusting which effects are lowered?

As a heavily audio-oriented person, I wish I could play Banshee but I find the Silence effect a deal breaker. :(

  3. Now you're doing the strawman. I didn't say I "forgot" my keybinding, that's absurd. I said I do use it, and it's inconvenient to spam. There's nothing like left/right click when it comes to that responsiveness. And since right-click is widely used for aim/glide, that's out. Middle click isn't the same, it's a heavier button with more resistance, and also in other games I have completely worn out my middle mouse button to where it stopped working, just because I put a spammy ability on it. Where else am I supposed to put that function?

  4. I got around to actually trying it. The alt fire is not a toggle - secondary fire button uses the shotgun mode.

This is extremely annoying. The way I've had my controls set-up for years, has put the alt-fire in a place where I'm ok pressing it occasionally, but my hand doesn't naturally sit there like it does for regular clicking.

Please make this a toggle, or I probably just won't bother using it.

  5. I don't see why they didn't just make it 2 weapons. Since alt fire doesn't change how you can use it within one mission, because of mods, it only serves the purpose of accessing the "right" gun that's crammed into the slot.

So then why not just build 2?
Well, that doesn't change how I'd have to remember to fire using ONLY THE ALT FIRE BUTTON on one, but not the other.

look at the bright side... he gets to put effort and kill everything and you just move around chilling

If a game is too much "effort" why are you playing? I play to actually interact with the game, not to watch it play itself.

If I wanted something low effort, or low interactivity to do, I would read a book. This is a game though. =\

Sometimes you want to make the most out of a fissure run. Sure it will be easy, but you throw some random stuff on and try something different. Except if a spamulor kills 99% of the things in the mission there's not much playing around there.

.....wut. Destreza gas build coming up.

idc what its status chance is...with how fast i swing it, it won't matter.

Might I recommend Weeping Wounds, you can stack a bunch of bonus status % from your combo counter very quickly with that attack speed.

  8. I love Titania, but I stopped playing her for two reasons.

Mostly I've lost interest in channeled weapons due to having rivens and more gameplay/weapon variety that way.

The other is more directly practical: doors are too slow too open, so in razorwing I either have to stop moving completely, or smack my head into the doors, every. single. time.

I know the door issue is complicated, but I feel like improving the acceleration from a standstill would go a long way to making this feel better.

  9. I went directly from the start to endpoint, bypassing the course. I used Valkyr ripline on the far platform to gain the momentum, and a good old double jump + roll. To prevent flying past, just ground slam. This was a while back so I don't know if they've caught on or changed it.

(If it's the one I think it is, the U-shape)

That still doesn't actually give a definite answer on a particular macro. We can apply everything here and say it probably is or isn't, but that would still be an interpretation.

  11. Frame choice - on frames that avoid the fray, I almost never have my sentinel die with primed regen. If you're on a melee frame it's just not going to work - that's why companions have link health/armor. If you're getting hit hard/often enough that your sentinel is dying... maybe don't get hit that much? :P Also I never use the attack precept, as that seems to make the sentinel draw enemy attention waay easier.

  12. Invasions don't cycle nearly fast enough, and I haven't even seen a weapon part invasion in a long time now, even longer than normal.

I don't think quite enough people need detonite/fieldron/mutagen on a regular enough basis to get through all those existing invasions.

    *sigh*

The biggest problem with this is how godawfully unbalanced this would be.

Lets look at Frosts cold resistance.
There are 5 sources of cold damage in the entire game!  First half of Lech Kril fight, LN2 hyena, Corpus glaxion capture target, cryo barrels, and staying away from the heaters on eurpa.  Literally 5 sources and none of them are actually enemies you fight commonly or in large numbers.
Not even artic eximus units deal cold damage.
Altogether useless and pointless as it'll never come into play.

    What about Volt?
Now we're talking.  Someone that is actually resistant against multiple enemies!
He has Prod Crewman, sapping osprey, sniper crewman, nullifiers, Hyena TH, Lecta comba and scrambus, electric crawlers, Corrupted nullifiers, and arc traps and shock eximus.
Incredibly good against corpus and useless everywhere else.  But hey at least his resistance is worth something.

    What about Ember?
Wow, would she get a massive buff!
There are Flameblades, Scorches, Napalms, Sargus Ruck, Lech Kril second half, Heykka master, ambulas, fusion moa, corrupted moa, hyena ng, caustic ancient and arson eximus.
And what a resistance.  If you notice those are some of the hardest hitting enemies in the game.  And she gets a massive resistance that is miles and miles ahead of everyone elses with no downside.  She becomes undisputedly the queen of fighting grineer.
Also she has the only resistance that would apply against all the enemy factions.

    What about Saryn?
We have Lobber Crawlers, Mutalist Osprey, Toxic Ancients, Toxic Crawlers, Juggernauts, Lephantis (infested head) and Mutalist Alad V.
Limited to only infested enemies, but against those enemies she would become literally unkillable.

The simple fact is that DE has refused this idea over and over again because it is so horribly unbalanced its not funny.

Also Mag - they wouldn't exempt one frame from the agony joys of magnetic procs would they? Plus that would be a buff to Mag and we know that wouldn't happen. :P

The key word in [DE]Danielle's post being 'could'.

Here's a more detailed explanation of DE's position on Autohotkey and macros...

So in short, slide attack macros are ok.

Telos boltace came after that post. Problem with telos boltace is people using macros to do absurd attack rates that even an average able-bodied person wouldn't be able to do.

Can we just add a cooldown to the boltace slide effect already?
