Email filters are the same as they weigh content by its perceived merit. Changing the way something perceives your content is as simple as changing the content you deliver.

How the filter is implemented, or rather with "new" filters, how it's trained, is key.

Short mails sent repeatedly with low variation should not get flaged in a filter, as this was how spam worked in the 90s and by year 2000 filters had cought up forcing spammers to create spam with highly variable spelling on every word, which in addition had the effect of filtering out the not so gullible.

There are still many bad filters, as good filters require training data, but if you choose to go from a good filter and no privacy to a bad filter with high privacy, blaming the message helps noone.

I ignored the forced enabeling of 2FA on purpose, as I have no intention to enable it to see if it can be disabled.

I'm not claiming DE calling it 2FA is ok.

I'm not claiming DE forcing extra hastle for false security is ok.

What I am claiming is no decent filter should stop the mails by their structure.

    Rocks and glasshouses.

Even if DE did none of these things that I mentioned above, the biggest problem lies in the fact that e-mail verification is the only method of 2FA.

My server is filtering these out before I have the chance of seeing them. They do not even go to a junk folder as that would be a client filter and I would not be complaining about that as it would be an easy fix that I could do.

Using the same factor for password reset and 2nd authentication is not the best of ideas, I can agree with that, but blaiming DE for horrible spam filtering implementation, youre kidding, right?

Treat the "2FA" as if it's not there, and set up a filter which wasn't designed by a 1st year CS student.

  3. After having built my 2nd k-drive, this one with "Bad Baby board" it gives mastery, did mastery on "Needlenose board" fall between the cracks when boards got mastery?

Turns out my 2nd k-drive stopped giving masterpoints after hitting level 15, as if it was meant to give 6000 masterypoints, but then got changed to 3000, but still giving 200 mastery per level.

  4. I was leveling a non plat k-drive, from 26 to 30, and noticed not getting any mastery.

I've read other people getting mastery for k-drives, but to me it seems the issue isn't with named vs nonnamed.

There was a mention in one of the patchnotes about this being fixed, but in dev stream they were talking about naming built k-drives not being possible, since gilding of k-drives was removed last minute due to it being pointless.

So they are aware there are issues, but it seems they break at least one type, when fixing one type, until both are equal and renameable.

Sprinting and boosting would do slightly different things during that time.

Sprinting, as it does now as well, would make it so you actually strafe and keep facing the same direction. It was a slow lateral movement.

Boosting would make you actually fly in the direction you're pointing with WASD, boosting at full speed, but your camera would stay the same direction. (If you were to ignore the character model and only look at the camera and where it was moving, it would still be a strafe technically. Momentum was handled slightly differently however.)

You seem to be missing my point, boost didn't get you to full speed, it wasn't even close to full speed, it was sprint speed.

WASD while not sprinting keeps camera and movement seperate as it, and doing the same with sprint would be the same as boost was in .4-.6, except you would have no woosh sound.

While I don't remember excactly how no direction input, but aim input momentum worked in .4-.6, though I would prefered if it kept the momentum, with an air resistance reduction.

  6. 27 minutes ago, ZedrinBot said:

Ah right, forgot that boosting also involves space. I just kinda subconsciously press that no matter what.

To revise: everything I said above applies when boosting with shift + space.

So to reiterate, since boost turned to sprint after a second or so in .4-.6, does pure sprint give the controls you want, and if they don't would .4-.6 sprint and .0-.4&.6+ boost be a resonable combination?

  7. 31 minutes ago, ZedrinBot said:

I'm confused what you're asking. What do you mean sprint instead of boost? afaik those are the same thing: hold shift.

Boost is shift+space, sprint is shift.

Or at least it was, and I only get the woosh with shift+space.

Which might explain why we have different reasons for liking the different versions.

Though it seems the best of both worlds would be a combination of both flight modes, boost for current boost, and everything else .4-.6 mode.

There is no way I could track anything inside spawn radius, while boosting, with my hyperion thruster itzal, and still go in the previously planed direction, and even if I had the finger gymnastics to tap the right strafe/forward/back combination to keep the same non 22.5 degree movement direction, it would seem a bit strange to fly backward at that speed.

These are just my experiences and observations about the game that I'm offering as feedback. Two friends and myself started warframe right around planes of eidolon release.

My routine videogame consumption around the time my we came to warframe was that I would play path of exile when alone, and payday 2 when my friends were online.

When alone playing PoE, I specifically enjoyed the concept of repeatedly developing or trying out builds and leveraging different ability synergies to change the game experience. The random mods that game maps receive in the endgame meant that rarely could 1 build be perfect in every situation, and striking a balance or accepting you cant do certain mods was part of the game. For example I had a build that really excelled when large numbers of enemies were present, but if 1 or 2 bosses were all that was on screen I struggled to dps them down before dying myself. I was always experimenting with different ideas and followed streamers to see what they were cooking up.

When playing payday with friends, I enjoyed the teamwork aspects and the group strategy. One of us has heavy armor and a machine gun who does the brunt of cover fire, while another one of us is a dodge-based character moving loot, and maybe another one of us has brought a special tool to access alternative objectives.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get my friends to come over to PoE because they hated the perspective. Enter warframe, something that combined elements from both games I liked and let us all enjoy together.

When we first started playing warframe, we experimented and played with synergies. Maybe one of us would build a corrosive weapon, another brings viral, or something thereof. As we unlocked more frames we would set up our team comps to either try and boost one of us, or make the team as a whole just more meshed. I remember specifically setting up our team to deal with Nox as he was our biggest threat at the time.

Now that we have been playing a while, there is no more uniqueness to a Nox showing up, he's just another face in the crowd that might last slightly longer and leaves with a distinct scream and a cloud. Any one of us can pretty much do our own thing independent of the others and be effective which is a bit disappointing in itself, but its not my primary frustration. What has really been frustrating me lately, and resulted in me playing path of exile again when my friends aren't on, is in the frame and encounter designs.

I'll illustrate this with 2 recent additions to the game, Garuda and arbitrations:

I absolutely love Garuda and have been playing her heavily since release. The idea of her 4 setting up my teams damage to spike up by making mobs more vulnerable (to bleeds) was right up my alley. Unfortunately, even in higher content like arbitration, its 10-20mins in before mobs aren't being 1-shot by arca plasmor, which pretty much everyone brings (more on that in a second) so that time is spent pretty much hopping around using my own arca plasmor. By the time ancients start spawning and/or sticking around long enough to make my bleeds feel useful either our pugs are dead, or people are leaving. Im just as well off running all defense mods and firing my arca plasmor around than running any other kind of build, because by the time im useful people are either done, or dead, and you cant rez them.

Arbitration itself is an exercise in frustration. When we first learned of the upcoming new game mode, we were excited. Finally an avenue to go play with all these cool abilities we have without having to do a half hour of 'warmup' in the void before mobs start spawning. ABCC+ rotation. A reward currency, how cool! Then when the content arrives it was just underwhelming. The rotations come at much lower intervals as normal, and if your excited about finally getting to use all these superpowers you've been given, well the drones will ensure you wont spend any length of time enjoying that, as you will need to switch off from whatever it was you wanted to be doing to shoot a tiny starfish with an arca plasmor, if you choose any other gun it just compounds the frustration. Just lined up a huge charged 1 with Garuda? DRONE ARRIVES and wastes your preparation. Pretty much regardless of the frame you bring, you are constantly in this state of fun-inertia trauma. Its like the horrible feeling when your drowsy and every time you dose off for a split second you get that chest rush, that's what arbitration feels like, every time you start to have fun, you have to stop and perform a chore and your shocked out of the immersion. I think the drones are an attempt to keep frames like saryn from dominating while evading the responsibility of any game balancing. Its not like its even protecting any great rewards, there arent riven's being sold by the vendor, just a few cosmetic glyphs and a few mods.

I would much rather the game flow with peaks of intermittent challenging enemies than to just generously sprinkle a mob that "just turns off half the game", even more so I'd love for these random challenges to be especially challenging if they happen to coincide "Oh no, we need that drone down asap, it cannot reach this nox or we are boned!" because as it stands now, theres no reason to call out threats or really communicate in an effort to complete an objective.

Anyway, that's just my 2 cents. I still really like the game but I  want to be able to use all these cool powers the different frames offer, and have a reason to coordinate with my friends to overcome a challenge.

As I see it Warframe has 4 stages:

    1. Everything is hard, stalker, G3, noxes and nullifiers are scary and you need every advantage you can get.

    2. You have all the equiptment you want or need to feel like a god.

    3. You get bored of feeling like a god and want the game to scale to you.

    4. You realize no matter what DE throw at you, it's only a matter of time until it's trivial, so you run long runs, speed runs or use non ideal equiptment.

To me it seems you're stuck at stage 3.

Hope you stick arround until you get to stage 4, or we get real operations/trials back or kingpin is released, best of luck Tenno.

This removed the ability to do the (incredibly slow) barrel rolls, slightly slowed down archwing, but it added in the ability to strafe, like you can in space with experimental controls.

The boost only increased your speed for a second or so, and tapered down to sprint speed.

Now there have been so many archwing itterations I can't honestly tell which does what when not boosting, but can't you just sprint instead of boost to get the same effect as the .4-.6 archwing?

Or is it preserved momentum without wasd input you're missing?

  10. 6 minutes ago, Plushy said:

I can't believe people are complaining about one small change to archwing when it already sucked worse than anything else in the game.

Here's the thing, while the change isn't significant, the change does not improve gameplay, it won't make us use k-drive, the only thing it does is slow down the time it takes to go from "mission" A to "mission" B.

Imagine for a second, mission loading time was increased without any benefit.

  11. In the past I prefered no momentum archwing, but momentum got added, and I adapted in the only place that had archwing worth running JV.

Going from a fast rollable archwing, with boost, to a skytractor isn't fun.

If k-drives were faster, and you somehow could use weapons on it, it we would be more of a competitor to archwing/skytractor.

If we're not supposed to go fast due to some lore reason, could a compromize be to take damage when you boost, but get the speed?

My post says more ways to earn arcanes... maybe add ways to get them in fortuna also! :D!

    Easy there tiger.

Racnoids/orbs/whatever will drop something, when they are killable. Personally I hope they won't drop the old arcanes, perhaps they are unkillable due to DE making new ones.

It is unlikely they will be easier or faster than Eidolons.

The drop table is on the forums, please check it out, but keep in mind the rules of warframe drops.

#1 you never get the drop you want if you want a drop.

#2 no matter how unlikely if you dont want a drop, you will get it.

#3 if you get the drops you wanted to get, it will punish you later and deny you the last piece for ever and ever.

#4 DE have mind reading technology, not writing what drop you want, will not make a difference.

A forum thread with a title with no relation to the post dosn't help getting the responce you want or are looking for.

Hey Im a new player and ive been playing for months now with loads of captures but i never get arcanes to drop! Are there future plans on ways to earn these in other ways? Also Ive been meaning to suggest allowing us to sell our items thru the foundry so we can more easily clear our inventory!

Eidolons always drop an arcane when captured/killed.

So posibilities are you don't capture ie. break all 4 limbs and headshot the 1st eidolon.

Or you don't pick them up.

Or you have loads of arcanes, check foundry -> arcanes.

This is a proposal for adding extractor icons to the star map (and I don’t understand why it wasn’t done before). Improving the usability of extractors.

Example: If a player is absent for a long time and he wants to remove the extraction of extractors, he will have to fly around all his planets (up to 16) to find his extractors.
Why they can not have an icon, like a merchant of the abyss, so that you can immediately understand where the extractor is?

      Reveal hidden contents

    TE5GQar.jpg

When the extractors are done, there is an icon on the "deploy extractor" position when the chart is not on a planet, click it to retrive all extractors at once, unless the icon went missing in the last 2 patches.

Thank you for the help i knew that the updates not releasing all at the same time for all platforms where due to certification but not this, so what you´re saying his basically the pc players are like rats in a lab perfoming tests , what i understood was that the pc players are "testing and smoothing" the update for the consoles along with the devs since consoles are more harder to update and hotfix so that way the devs can give the console players a 99% bug free update is that it? (Not trying to offend anyone but if someone is im sorry not my intention)

Yes, recent PC issues include but are not limited to mods not working, ui issues, build cost balancing, quest dificulties, k-drive broken OP standing gains, k-drive races promising standing and not delivering, k-drive races not being in the game but on mininmap.

I'm sure there will be more issues uncovered and fixed before console release.

I guess it wouldn't be a good thing to have an extra set of primed and dual-stat mods that can then be sold in Trade.

There would be too many on sale for the mods to be worth the trade, let alone the used endo.

We lost Trials due to people calling it "too hard".

We lost Operations due to people calling it "not fair".

We lost Void keys due to people calling it "not right".

Now you want to make the 2nd primed set worthless, even if endo rains from Arbitrations and Index is a credit machine?

PS. The sentinel won't be a killing machine past level 50 no matter what you do.

  17. 4 minutes ago, Novashank said:

LOL, why am I not surprised the change-haters rule against this? HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THAT DE MAKE A CHANGE TO MY BELOVED WARFRAME! THIS GAME IS PERFECT AS IS UNLESS DE DOTH DECREE OTHERWISE!

I agree with OP, this is a stupid problem. If we can have the same mod on multiple Warframes, why should it not be shared between a Sentinel weapon and a player weapon? Should DE change the game such that we need a duplicate set of mods for every Warframe? Someone explain to us why DE shouldn't make this simple change to the mod system? Will it hurt the game? Will it somehow be a mistake instead of an improvement? Will it make the game less fun for a large portion of the population? Will it cost too many dev hours that could be otherwise better-spent? I'd love to see a credible response. I'm sure the only response I'll see is whiteknights up in arms, though, knowing how people are in Warframe forums... sigh...

You call it a simple change, and while the code change is simple, the implications are quite big.

Considering the caps and the screaming to get what you want, I imagine you recently started playing the game.

So I'd like to point out, the difference between Primed and non-Primed mod variant in most cases isn't a huge leap, but a slight bump. Now while you may not want to put in the effort for a slight bump there are loads of players who have done this.

Consider the implications of 80-50% of the playerbase having an extra of each Primed weapon mod and Electric dualstat.

And all this just so the few of you can get something for nothing, in a game where everything is based on a balance of how much effort is too much effort.

  18. 4 hours ago, Arc2199 said:

That's not what you call fun. That's a chore. I don't keep swapping mods on my pets. Why should I have to keep swapping on my sentinel.

But you farmed a different set of mods for your beasts.

Do what most players have done, get yourself mods for the robotics.

If you can't level a 2'nd set of primed mods for the robotics, let them used non primed mods.

If you don't even have 1 set of primed mods, well you havn't scratched the surface of the game, and the mods will be the least of your grinding issues.

Other youtubers like TacticalPotato also have early access to fortuna, which i kinda find annoying cus if they can release it early for specific people, then i don't see why they can't release it to the public.

It'd be best for DE to just release fortuna now or sometime today, or tomorrow at the very least. I have no idea why they're delaying it. To try and build up more hype for it? Or is there still stuff to sort out, despite the fact that partners already have access to fortuna?

The partners got to try a development build, which means the stats of the new things were not nessicarily the ones we get in the release build.

They might have been told to stay away from some things with known bugs, and given they knew it most likely contained game braking bugs they would have given sensible bug reports.

As is, for all we know, the dev build may well have more bugs than Plains of Eidolon had at release, and noone wants Fortuna to have as a rough start.
