  1. Nyx is a very unpolular frame as far as I see, though she's pretty useful in LoR.

    I think it's mainy because she lacks survivability and damaging abilities(compared to other frames) in a horde shooter like WF.

  2. Because u need to grind / pay frist 2 spin, and u need to spin 2 grind more / pay less.

    And the game keeps u doing the same thing over and over again so ppl just wanna do it fast and simple. 

    And those who pay a lot for Memestrike / whips riven won't be happy if DE nerf spin 2 win to the ground.

    But I do agree it kinda deserves a nerf (melees won't hit through wall / slide crit cooldown / slide crit wont stack with Blood Rush, etc) so ppl can still spin 2 win in low level and it won't be so annoying for teammates in other missions.

    Only because he used to be bad and opinions linger, especially when the changes made weren't the ones that some particular people wanted to happen. Don't pay them any mind.

    I think it's also because of Obi's "jack of all trade" nature, since he's a great frame for solo with his balanced abilities but when it comes to squad recruiting there ain't many missions where Obi can outshine other "more efficient" frames since the game is very grindy and ppl always look for the best farming setup, so you rarely see anyone looking for a Oberon in recruiting channel.

    Recently DE pay a lot of attention to frame balance, and I could only hope this time Broberon could get some love with the upcoming waframe balance patch (many frames are gonna receive tweaks) 

  6. Inspired(and a little bit triggered) by this topic

     

    First of all, I think DE did a good job when it comes to Oberon rework. He can work in all kinds of "endgame" and play many different roles in a squad but it seems many players still trash him due to his "jack of all trade" nature.

    Seriously, Oberon is definitely not a bad choice for many missions after the rework, though there're a few small unpolished aspeacts of his skill set :

    1.  A supportive Oberon player might find it frustrating to play his role due to Renewal's mechanics

    It could be very tough to keep applying Renewal on all your teammates when teammates walk into Nullifier bubble / get disrupted by Comba or fall out of map since Oberon needs to recast Renewal to apply the healing yet the cast range of Renewal is quite limited (and its healing wave has travel time) and your teammates usually wont stick together within your cast range so if teammate A is out of range Oberon will have to cancel Renewal and recast it again (while hoping teammate B and C won't run too far away this time or he'll have to cancel and recast again...)

     

    2. Renewal should NOT heal Nekros's Shadows of The Dead

    This QoL issue has been talked about by a lot of players, and I'm gonna talk about it again :awkward: 

    On the one hand, SoTD still drains way too much energy from Oberon (due to the energy drain per target from Renewal), while Nekros can heal his minions to full health simply by pressing 4 again (and sometimes Nekros players just want his minions to die). On the other hand, Oberon players wanna keep healing Nekros and other teammates but there's no reason to heal SoTD, which means when both Oberon and Nekros are in the same squad, players can feel the conflict between these two frames and this is bad for a co-op game like Warframe.

    Oh, and I wanna mention that I don't mind the fact that Renewal can heal Titania's Razorfly drones because Titania can't heal her drones and her drones really help her a lot (drones deal extra damage and distract nearby enemies so Titania players definitely dont want their drones to die) This is an exact opposite example.

     

    3.The Radial Blind and Health Orb drop from Reckoning are way too tricky to be useful

    The blind only works on enemies beyond Reckoning's attack range and the range / duration of the blind are way too limited (4m & 4s blind emitted by enemies slamed onto the ground)

    Health Orb has a 50% drop chance only when Reckoning kills but Reckoning's damage is... not good enough to kill in high level (let alone the fact that Reckoning's armor stripping requires enemies to stand on Hallowed Ground and I don't know why Hallowed Ground and Reckoning don't share the same range considering their synergy).  So basically you can get many health orbs in low level by spamming 4 while nobody needs health orbs in low level, and when you need health orbs in high level (provide extra healing to the squad / make good use of [Health Conversion] build) Reckoning just can't make a kill.

     

    4.The [Smite Infusion] augment is kinda buggy

    This augment is not that bad (though I never see any player actually use this augment lol) but I find it buggy and unreliable.

    I dont know if it's a HUD bug or gameplay bug tbh but I test it many times and find that teammates could always lose the damage buff by peforming certain moves (e.g. rolling, not quite sure about it) 

     

    My two cents :

    1. When Oberon casts Renewal, he keeps sending healing waves in a circle so that as long as other players walk into his healing wave circle, they will receive the Renewal buff regardless they lose the buff due to whatever reason. 

    2. Renewal won't heal SoTD anymore but keep it the same for other NPC.

    3. Change how the blind from Reckoning works: Lessening ability range reduces Reckoning's attack range as it works now but increases the blind range, which means you can try a low range + high duration build for the blind CC (at the cost of losing Reckoning's ranged damage potential), adding more diversity to Oberon's modding strategy.

    4. Health Orbs have a 50% drop chance when enemies got hit by Reckoning die so even when Reckoning's damage is too low to kill in high level, Oberon can still rely on his weapons to make this mechanics work.

    Last but not least, Oberon is a very well designed and fun-to-play frame(don't expect press 4 to win with him, but you'll find all his abilities can be useful with their synergy), even though he's still kinda unpopular after the rework, I believe more and more players will make him shine :)

  7. I always look for -Impact damage riven for my guns because I dont want imapct proc at all : every time I aim for headshot dat goddamn annoying Impact proc staggers my victims and knocks them back and therefore my bullet misses (especially annoying for full-auto guns)

    And I doubt Damage/IPS 2.5 would fix  :-(

  8. I really appreciate that DE wanna rebalance the whole Damage 2.0, but as far as they show the details about IPS change, I can't just sit there without pointing out the flaw.

     

    1.DO NOT NERF SLASH :

    You want to make Impact & Puncture porc scale with I & P damage ? Fine, but just don't make Slash proc scale with S damage because it's gonna ruin a lot of modding / weapon variety (let alone the fact that it's just a straight nerf to Slash proc, since Slash proc is scaled with modded base damage and combo / critical multiplier in Damage 2.0 right now)

     

    Remeber [Hunter Munitions] ?  This new mod is well-designed because it benefits modding / weapon variety, and so many poor crit-only primary weapons can shine again thanks to this mod. A good example is Synapse, a beam weapon (beam weapons really need some love but that's another topic) with good critical chance and poor status chance so even if you got a godlike riven Synapse still sucks against high level enemies but with the help of Hunter Munitions it just becomes much better (it's still not top tier but definitely a lot better with Hunter Munitions) This can be applied to other crit-only weapons, too.

     

    Remeber melee stance combo that can inflict Slash proc even if your melee don't have Slash damage ? Like [Defiled Snapdragon] [Vulpine Mask] and the new [Swooping Falcon] ? If DE make Slash proc scale with Slash damage then melee with little or no Slash damage like Lacera, Endura and Dark(Split)Sword with inflict 0 damage Slash proc with these stance mods (yea, your enemies are bleeding yet they're actually not bleeding)  So this is just a straight nerf to all non-Slash-based melee weapons and all Slash-based melee will become even more dominant (ARE YOU SERIOUS ? I thought DE wanna help Impact & Puncture rather than just make Slash even more important !)

     

    2.Impact & Puncture proc should help us do more damage rather than just pure CC / debuff :

    Think about Tenno's favourite proc :

    Corrosive proc helps us do more damage, Slash proc deals finisher damage bypass armor & shield, Toxin and Gas proc deal stacking DOT bypass shield, Viral proc doubles our DPS, FIre proc deals DOT, Electricity proc deals AOE damage and stunlocks enemies so we can get easy headshot, Radiation proc make enemies try to kill each other, Cold proc slows down enemies so we can get easy headshot, Blast proc AOE knockdown (Blast > scaling Impact because it just knocks them down long enough withou sending them to somewhere in the map) 

     

    Why we think Impact, Puncture & Magnetic suck : 

    Currently Impact proc just staggers a single enemy for 1 second, even if DE make it scale with Impact damage so you can knock a single enemy down or send a single enemy to the sky, SO WHY WOULDN'T I JUST USE BLAST AND ELECTRICITY FOR AOE CC ?

    Puncture reduces a single enemy's damage output by a scaling percentage up to 90% and it only last 6 seconds, SO WHY WOULDN'T I JUST USE BLAST AND ELECTRICITY FOR AOE CC (WITH 100% DAMAGE REDUCTION SINCE ENEMIES JUST CAN'T MOVE) ??

    Magnetic, wait, never heard of this proc in Warframe, wat u say it reduces the target's current shields and maximum shield capacity by 75% over a duration of 4 seconds ? SO WHY WOULDN'T I JUST USE TOXIN & GAS TO KILL EVERY SHIELDED BASTARD WITH DOT IN 4 SECONDS LMAO !!

     

    :blush: Hope DE can think it twice before they unleash another nerf storm...
