  1. Speaking of defense missions, I have less problems with their spawn rate, and more with their rediculous firerate. Having high spawn rate can be fun (sometimes), but at least on solo it needs to be toned down just a tad.

  2. Rollers aren't that bad in small numbers. Sure they are the biggest offenders of the stun-lock problem in this game, but in groups of up to 3, they're still manageable. But more than that? Welp, may as well go get a drink, cause i'm not gonna be able to get out of that stun anyway. I wouldn't say the Rollers need to be outright removed, but tweaking is definately necessary.

    Possible ideas:

    1. Rollers will damage themselves as well on hitting you. I mean, they ARE charging into you with their own bodies. Have them also take one-third of their health damage (rounded up) every time they hit you, and explodes on the third hit for increased damage if you don't kill them before that.

    2. No staggering on hit, just screwing up your accuracy a bit and maybe nudge you without making you lose control. Come on, they're hand-sized BALLS. Why are they so damaging.

    3. Put a limit on how many Rollers can be on the field at a given time. On normal missions, maximum can be 2+n for n players, and for Kela it can be 2n for n players.

  3. So what if a person leaves the game after they get what they want? It's a public game, this isn't a MOBA or something, one guy leaving after beating a boss does not hurt you. Oh one guy leaves the team of 4, we're all screwed now? Plus, he did in fact work for those drops up to that point, who are you to take that away from him? And if the host leaves and items get deleted due to host migration shenanigans, yeah that's friggin' annoying, but hey, he IS the host. He started that instance, he is essentially the owner of that instance, he has the right to do whatever he wants. If you don't like it, remember his name and never join his hosted games again.

And what about people who leave because of IRL implications? What if there's something urgent they have to go deal with, and can't continue the round? Should they be punished by having all of their time in the round up to that point wasted entirely? Or what if someone just outright crashes due to game problems, host migration shenanigans etc. That's not their fault, but according to your system, they will be punished by having their effort wasted. If you are so mad about leavers, then start a private game and play with friends. Join a clan or something. If it's a PUG game, you should've expected the worst.

  4. The solo Corpus alert mission i just did.

Right at the start, everything seems calm. I shoot a camera and move on to the next room, where there are 2-3 crewmen. No problem, I'll mow them down easy. But then, the game was all like "PSYCHE!" and a swarm of MOAs, Ospreys and crewmen swarm in from around the corner, there must have been at least a dozen of them. Combined with the recent enemy firerate buff, i was quickly forced to back off. EXCEPT-

I turn around, and there is yet another swarm having came from behind me! A shower of bullets flying from all directions, and more were coming! I had an enemy radar artifact on, the whole map was swarming with red dots. With only an underleveled Braton Vandal and my slowass Rhino, I activated Iron Skin and ran for cover. In an attempt to pick off lone enemies to weaken the 30+ strong horde, I instead ended up accidentally baiting them to smash the window behind me, activating an Atmospheric Vent. Desperate, I continued to spray my Vandal at the units that broke off from the main group amidst the continuous shield (and soon health) drain, then used what remained of my energy to activate Iron Skin once more and charge past the horde to the control panel to lock down the broken window. As the metal gate came down and finally shut off the suction of space, and my Iron Skin disintegrated, I prepared myself for another serious firefight. EXCEPT-

All was silent. No gunfire, no footsteps, no nothing. I looked around, only to find a dozen corpses lying on the ground, and realized that what was left of the horde had died from the atmospheric vent. My Iron Skin allowed me to outlast them all and survive. I double-checked, looted, and finally moved on. All before I left the first room of the mission.

  5. I noticed a huge increase in Ancient spawn rate on defense missions after the 10th wave: It's like there are suddenly as many chargers+runners as Ancients. And it gets worse after wave 15: almost only ancients. Crazy stuff. Still manageable, but really annoying.

And even more annoying since now their head is hardly reachable behind their back. Heck, I don't even now where exactly is their head now: it's just an undefined, shapeless, mass of flesh hanging from their neck. For me, as a Bolt weapon user, it's twice as long to kill them now (feet/hands don't do double damage).

And it's ugly: not even zombie/horror ugly, just ugly.

    Annoying, and really not fun.

I like their new charging animation, but they really do look butt ugly when walking around, with their "head" slouched back into a shapeless mass and stuff. They don't look threatening at all, just....eww. Also the spawn rate increase is bad news :/

  6. Well it doesn't matter anyway. Let the devs read this and decide for themselves : )

    Oh and @Madot

I should point out that I forgot to write (rewards for every rank up, except that we get the slot rewards after Rank 7)

That was my fault and I apologize for causing such offense towards you.

Well that clears things up a bit. I do wonder what rewards you have in mind though. Considering Mastery Rank is related to ranking up weapons and frames, i would've thought giving slots for Mastery ups made sense. The rewards can't just be credits or mods though, we can easily get those off farming missions. It'd have to be something unique and practical, even if it's not slots.

  7. You clearly don't understand what the words 'Reasonable' and 'Compromise' mean.

Well then define them, smartass. Is "reasonable" defending every single decision the devs make? Is "compromise" STFUing about anything you don't agree with about the business model or game mechanics in general, or suggesting changes so minor it essentially changes nothing? Did you even read my post? I said needing to go past Mastery Rank 7 to even start getting one or two slots is as good as having no slot rewards at all! It doesn't solve anything! I merely stated that his suggestion would result in essentially nothing changing, how does that show i don't understand the words "reasonable" and "compromise"??

F it, i'm getting frustrated. It's clear you'll never listen to a word of opposition anyway, at least not from me, and the reverse is true for me from you. May we never converse again.

  8. explain path of exiles success? that game gives you everything for free, as a free player you don't feel restricted in the least bit and its doing great in fact because of the ridiculous generosity given by grinding gear games people spend money simply to support.

and while many say league of legends is a exception and shouldn't be counted as an example as a free to play, i beg to differ, i played league since its first closed beta and till this day i play, and from its open beta the game was not the giant that is is today it wasn't till it got world wide recondition at 2010's WCG that it just blew up in to the monster it is today but prior to that it had one of the best f2p models to this date.

from a f2p perspective league of legends was outstanding, everything but boosts and skins were available ingame. from a super competitive stand point it's abit iffy i admit but ah well the champion grind is what kept people playing so while  its not the most fair competitive game from the start it's still one the the better f2p models out there.

but yeah those who have been with league from beta times know just how small riot was(same position DE is in now) and remember the days when they just gave so much free stuff for no apparent reason(champions, exclusive skins that come with champions,ip boosts for having server issues, double exp/ip weekends), but i digress

my point is you don't have to restrict your player base to get them to spend money. fact is slot's may not seem like a big deal to those of us who have purchased a couple, but to the potential players they will come to this game and see that they are forced to buy slots in order to keep their frames that they worked hard for.

millions of people blow soo much cash on skins on league of  legends because they don't feel restricted and know all of the games current and future content will be free to them so they are willing to invest in pimping their favorite champs. you know what most players hate? being shoe horned into buying something because the game restricts you into buying something.

weapons are far easier to part with, as farming mats is no big deal, but a warframe is a whole beast on its own(very RNG blue prints and the 3 day wait period)

free players are the best thing for f2p games, they provide  pretty much free advertisement(its how league got so huge) if the free players dont feel restricted they will stay and spread the word and the people who catch wind of this great game via f2p players maybe a willing paying customer and the free players who stay and feel like the game isn't restricting will end up spending money.

YYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! Finally! Someone gets it!! *hug* Though you should put that on the originating post instead of here :/

    https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/29315-reward-us-for-advance-in-mastery-rank/page-2

  9. Short version of a long answer:

Do I want to see rewards for completing rank (mastery) ups?

    Yes.

Do I want them to give slots?

Sure, but I'd suggest only giving 1 warframe slot and 2 weapon slots AFTER hitting rank 7.

Unless the cap is like rank 30.

Either way, I believe that in essence, the developers need to be fair to themselves by not giving out TOO many free things. It's great they're doing what they're doing, sure, but I agree that when we rank up, some sort of reward should be given.

I do -not- agree however that we should get slots EVERY RANK. Maybe in the higher ranks. Maybe.

And since I have no -ideas- on how these things should work, I will reserve judgement.

After hitting Rank 7? Then what's the point of even giving a reward for ranking up? Did you read JudgeN's earlier post on page 1? Did you do the math? 1 warframe slot and 2 weapon slots per rank is nothing compared to the existing and quickly expanding list of possible equipment! I doubt anyone can even get past Rank 9!

  10. Loved the idea. But i'm not sure about the invunerable shield while generator is active. I mean, I think it would work better if it were like the Jackal and you had to shoot it's wings or something to bring him down along with his shield.

But still the idea is great!

It's mostly because pounding on a helpless Jackal felt....boring. With good enough good gear i could easily stunlock the poor thing. Having the Vulture still fully active but damageable while its shields are down would get rid of any stunlock problems.

  11. Firstly it's a BETA, you pay to help the developing of the game and so gain a few gifts, some can't pay that much, specially after converting the values to they countries coin. Anyway i still agree that there should be a way of getting credits like selling the helmets after you made them using the blueprints you got on missions and instead of receiving half of it's credits value which would be too high, getting like like 1 to 5 credits when selling them.

What do credits from selling helmets have to do with this topic or the originating one...? Hell, what are we talking about anymore??!!

  12. Is a second damage number popping up from your fire modded Boltor when you hit enemies? If it is, then only the visuals are bugged. If not, the weapon is bugged. Either way, test it again and post in the bug forums.

  13. Even though you are my friend Judge...

I completely DISAGREE WITH YOU, because slots take up server space and server space doesnt come for free

You are given every stuff in the game for free and yet you complain because you dont think logically !

Given stuff for free in-game because *gasp* IT'S FREE TO PLAY! Plus, everything takes up server space, that is a BS argument. Every time a new account is made it takes up server space. In that case, make the game pay to play, huh?

Oh and can people stop replying to this thread? I feel like JudgeN just went crazy with frustration for a bit to start this topic. I know how he feels at least. Numbskulls thinking not getting a few free slots with hard work will make the devs go bankrupt...

  14. As JudgeN has said previously, even with the slot rewards, it's nowhere near enough to get all of the weapons and frames even now, much less in the future when much more equipment will be added. Giving 1 frame slot and 2 weapon slots for a mastery rank is not imbalanced in any way, and in fact will keep players interested by providing them with more space to keep and try new gear without the fear of losing their old gear which they invested a lot of time into leveling. Plus, raising the Mastery Rank is not an easy feat, especially past Rank 4. It takes ages to rank up even once.

And a lot of you are treating slots as the devs' only source of income. Cosmetics, potatoes, shortcutting to new frames, there are all kinds of other sources of revenue for them other than limiting player inventory. Oh and that talk about how "we should be glad we can farm weapons for free because other games make you pay" BS. Should we be glad we don't get Day 1 DLC on all new games now? Should we be glad a paid game doesn't have always-online DRM or micro-transactions because some company does it? Yeah we should congratulate DE on their better business model, doesn't mean it's some kind of sin to say it can be improved just because they don't use a fake f2p model like most other companies. The way you people say it, it's as if pay2win is the standard in the gaming industry and DE is some kind of saint for not following it!
