The Entrati admire many traits, but resourcefulness is paramount! This Halloween, to celebrate Daughter’s favourite time of year, we present a contest that will put your resourcefulness to the test. Design a Warframe costume using nothing but common household items. You can dress up as a Warframe, a Domestik Drone, Mr. Bitey Scratchikins – anything in Warframe! Daughter welcomes all to her costume party.
How to enter:
Using only common household items, dress up as a Warframe character! Share a picture of your Warframe costume in the this thread for judging. Feel free to include details about your design with your submission!

January 25, 2021 Update:
DX10 was removed today with the launch of Ensmallening Part 3: Mesh Accuracy + Sound Fidelity. We apologize for not having given a specific date sooner. Our team is watching the PC build closely today to make sure any bugs that might appear are quickly squashed!
With this change, Warframe’s official minimum specs are now:
- Operating System: Windows 7 64-Bit (32-bit not supported)
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 or AMD Athlon x64 4000+ (~2.2Ghz dual core CPU)
- Graphics: DirectX 11+ compatible video card
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Hard Drive: 50 GB available space
- Internet: Broadband Internet Connection
January 6, 2021 Update:
January 2021 is here! The team planned to end Direct X 10 support this month, but it might stick around a little while longer as these plans are tied to The Great Ensmallening. More info soon! When we have a date set, I'll let you know in this thread.
September 25, 2020:
Changes are coming to Warframe’s Minimum Supported Specs that will affect Tenno running DirectX 10. We hope to give you as much notice as possible!
In 2018, we announced that Warframe’s minimum supported specs were changing with an aim to make full use of the robust capabilities offered by DirectX 11. We want to make sure Warframe’s development is never limited, especially when we consider future DirectX versions. Adding visual features like Deferred Rendering to our ever-evolving game and supporting new optimizations are possible because of these changes!
On top of development and quality motivations, we want to make sure Warframe is stable and secure for players. Graphics-card manufacturers have long-since discontinued driver-updates for DirectX 10-class cards as they focus on more modern hardware. Systems that are up-to-date and supported by the companies that make them meet our security needs.
To these ends, Warframe will be ending DirectX 10 support in January 2021. We’ll continue to keep you posted as we approach this change!

Warframe’s Nintendo Switch team has noticed a variance in gameplay performance reports. We hope to help all Nintenno get the most out of their consoles by arming them with a bit of hardware info for our ever growing game!
On PC, Warframe is optimized for Windows 7, 64-bit operating systems, and Dx11, but players with higher specs experience better gameplay performance. There’s a similar variation for players on Nintendo Switch depending on their microSD card speeds. A Nintendo Switch with a microSD card below certain specs has a lower level of performance than a Nintendo Switch with a more powerful microSD card.
If you’re experiencing issues like long load times, we highly recommend upgrading your microSD card to improve your console’s overall performance.
Nintendo recommends a microSD card with a high transfer speed:
- UHS-I (Ultra High Speed Phase 1) compatible
- Minimum transfer speed of 60-95 MB/sec
You can learn more about what higher performance microSD card options are available here.
As always, we’ll continue to optimize Warframe’s performance on our end! We hope this info helps you better enjoy Warframe and other games on your Nintendo Switch.

This pre-update Drops issue requires a manual fix! That fix will be possible once the missing items arrive on Nintendo Switch with the Heart of Deimos update. Our Support Team is standing by to issue that manual fix for Nintenno who make a ticket about the broken Twitch Drop inbox messages they receive before the Heart of Deimos update launches.
I hope this explanation helps clear up any confusion!

Nintendo Switch Tenno who receive TennoGen Prex Card Drops while watching Warframe live streams in the Twitch Directory will receive a broken inbox message in-game. Prex Card Drops sent to Nintendo Switch inboxes before the Heart of Deimos update will not populate in-game before or after launch.
Our Support Team is here to help! If you’re a Nintendo Switch Tenno who receives a broken inbox message, please make a ticket with our Support Team. They will send the Prex Card Drop to your account manually after the Heart of Deimos update has shipped!
This Drops issue should be fixed as soon as Heart of Deimos launches! We’ll continue to keep Nintenno updated about the launch in the Heart of Deimos: Update 29 Status forum thread.

After the contest closes, a group of Warframe Community Team members will take one week to review all submissions. Once the top submissions have been chosen, Community Team members will closely review and compare those submissions a second time to select the winners.
We look for creativity and quality. Large structures are impressive, but keep in mind that small details set winning submissions apart from top submissions. Focus on creating an immersive atmosphere with details we can’t ignore. Make your Dojo a testament to your unique Clan!

Hotfix #2
Nightwave Changes & Fixes:
- Another potential fix towards Cephalite enemies remaining invulnerable after having their glass destroyed. This case specifically related to the Cephalite enemy being ragdolled.
- Fixed Somachord music playing in the background of Nightwave crime scenes.
- Fixed the Heavy Ordnance Act not providing a kill count progress.
- Fixed Kuva Larvlings spawning as Cephalites.

Hotfix #1
Nightwave Changes & Fixes:- Resized the glass FX on Cephalite enemies based on their scale. This also adjusts the Cephalite glass weak point hit box, which if you haven’t figured out already; shoot the glass first 😉
- Potential fix towards Cephalite enemies remaining invulnerable even when their glass has been destroyed.
- Swapped the ‘Friendly Fire’ Act to be a Weekly challenge and the ‘Explorer’ Act to be a Daily challenge, as the latter is the easier Railjack Act to complete thus making it a Daily.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where if you rebound L to another action such as Power Menu, it would Roll instead.

“Heart of Deimos: Interim Update 29.2.1” has passed Cert and will be going LIVE tomorrow, Wednesday, October 14th @ ~11 AM ET!
Please note that the download size will appear larger (6 GB) than the update’s actual total size (300 MB). This is due to the remastering process touching on all of the textures in the game so it will take a bit longer to download. This will make Warframe’s total size on the Nintendo Switch approximately ~25.1 GB. For the Tenno out there who have not equipped their Nintendo Switch with an SD card and have no other games downloaded, this update will continue to hold Warframe over the base memory allowance. This means that having the necessary space on your Nintendo Switch is necessary to accept this update.
