Typically, they do survive a lot longer if you don't equip a weapon on them.

On the matter of their ability to survive (or the lack of actually), they are in a similar case with the companions. Neither does a good job at keeping themselves alive.

To be honest, at this point I am tempted to suggest that any buffs (damage reductions eg mesa's shatter shield, armor eg iron skin, invulnerability eg hysteria) applied to the player is automatically applied to their companion / sentinel. It would probably solve most issues but I honestly don't think its a good idea

When I started on Orb Vallis, I used Helios for the codex entries and while farming toroids on max alert, it was impossible to keep sentinel alive with all the enemy aoe artillery while I myself had no issue at all. Companions can be revived over and over again at least so you don't eventually lose your vacuum/loot-enemy radar and other perks, and you get charm from smeeta aswell. Up until max alert aoe, I really never had an issue with sentinel survability because I was never bombarded that hard with AoEs before I could kill enemies in tinier maps/tunnels/rooms.

  2. IMO, having more than 1 open zone map for each faction is a waste. There's not much to fiddle with other than different looking maps, but factions remain the same. I would bet Eris as next one, could be really interesting with the Myconian colony, and a possible sentient one in the future if/when we ever get to Tau.

People who want it to be opt-in are already trying to compromise instead of just digging in on their own position. The whole reason for asking for opt-in is to not try to stop it from being implemented at all.

I don't want the mode at all, but I recognize that some people want it. Why not let them have it, but allow me to not use it?

True, but Scott already said opt-out/in would not be something they're interested in because the majority would opt out and the mode would go to waste after the effort, from the 'interview' with Tactical Potato. Not to mention the matchmaking hell it will cause with different opted players. Do you really think DE is willing to go through all that for another PvP mode when their already existing one is dead? Like I'm all for it if it gives players choices, so both types of playerbase can be happy, but yea, what I said above.

For the same reason the concept of "that not ever pvper is a baby eating monster out to ruin your day"

But the ironic thing is, stalker mode is designed for it.
Stalker is a low-mid challenge RNG miniboss (if you're new-ish to the game, otherwise it's no challenge at all) implemented after lore as a new mechanic of them visiting you for some rarity instead of you farming their planet node for rewards. It's manageable with its AI and players don't usually mind him because he's just a loot piñata not much different than other mission enemies. The purpose of the exclusive stalker mode is to troll and disrupt other players in any way you can (which currently includes being able to destroy objetives that can result the mission in a failure), but it's a rare troll mode that only developers use sometimes on devstreams, not something people would have to deal daily at all times.

The mode results in a couple of scenarios:
    A) You spawn and you're hopeless as the current stalker is, unless you hit jackpot and get to disrupt a newbie who can't properly deal with the stalker, which is unfair. So why would anyone, pro-pvper or not, to have a mode in which you can't do anything? Conclave is basically dead, why bother adding even more PvP-sided features that are even worse?
    B) You balance the stalker to survive and not be hopeless, then you just changed and forced PvP on players that are not looking for PvP with chances to most likely succeed on disrupting them, so obviously people would want to opt-out of it, or be unhappy with the game.

As much as I try to come up with a reason of why stalker mode would be fun, I can't. PvP doesn't work in Warframe, Conclave is there to prove it.

I'm really tired of discussing this topic.. especially because plenty of folks, such as yourself, even in this thread, simply refuse to get it.. but, here we go again:

People have a problem with it because, and please, for god sake use your common sense.. it will not stay that way. Player Stalkers will get butchered, and like any human, they won't like constantly losing, the ones behind those Stalkers will inevitably start complaining that they don't have a fair shot at winning.

This complaining will continue until DE is forced to do something with it. The moment they do, your ''a Stalker Mode with results and consequences no different from current Stalker'' becomes completely invalid. The very moment DE capitulates to complaints about unfair odds from Player Stalkers, is the moment the very notion of ''there shouldn't be a problem because Stalker will be as easy to kill as ever, thus even to strict PvE players who hate PvP, it shouldn't be a problem'' goes out the window.

Again, it is simple human nature. Nobody likes to lose, and if that loss is also because the game is rigged against them, which an unchanged Stalker only player controlled, would be.. that will make the loser even more salty.

This. Was about to post it. Either stalker is hopeless and a pointless mode not worth of implementing, or it becomes the enhanced forced PvP players don't want.

Just a week to go guys. Banshee Prime is being Vaulted with the Euphona Prime and Helios Prime, are them that good?

Banshee is really good, and sometimes part of the "meta" because of her amplying damage, it's too powerful. She also has some cc and aoe damage decent for normal gameplay. Euphona Prime is an okay weapon, not the best but not the worst, it's a matter of tastes (like a mini shotgun), and Helios Prime is the most popular sentinel in the game (shown by DE's graphs). It's the second tankiest sentinel after Carrier Prime (which is vaulted) and the auto-scan perk is something a lot of people like for a 'completionist' game like this with its codex. After that, there will be no more farmable primed sentinels as they will all be vaulted, even though some of us have hopes for Dethpacito Prime soonish. I actually hoped it would come out with Mesa's access to always have a sentinel available in the prime rotation.

Because technically Warframe is still a Beta.  Yes, you read that right.

It doesn't matter. Last year for example, PUBG was nominated for best ongoing game, while the award show took place on December 7, 2017 and the game was fully released on December 20, 2017, while also being nominated for best game of the year and winning best multiplayer game. Additionally, Destiny 2 was also nominated for best ongoing game of 2017 while it was released on September 6 for consoles and October 24 for PC, a couple months old game as best ongoing. While also Overwatch won the best ongoing being released for a bit more than 1 year.

This should show you why these awards are meaningless and nothing to do with how good/deserving games are, minus a few good exceptions.

There have been gaps in release dates before a week or two without a PA isn't unheard of.

In fact I think I only remember a few releases back to back on the same day.

With Fortuna in cert for console PlayStation leak will occur, DE retaliated with Chroma P.  By showing it early themselves, so let's be hopeful for this time as well.

If you watched Prime Time last night, on the mini meme game they had at the begining of the stream with the awards, they hinted "17" as the "most anticipated prime". So one could speculate that Mesa Prime access, one of the most awaited primes by the community, could be on 17th. Or could be simply a prime number joke. :^)

Very excited for the devstream and am intrigued to know what she is going to look like! The Wait is almost over!

Same, they should just show the primes on devstreams because they will 100% get leaked from console anyways, as they get updates with future content included since all platforms launch prime access at the same time and consoles don't get hotfix certifications that often.

However you should understand from popularity of PvP only games how many players are into PvP. Not some minority like Warframe community likes to think.

And you should understand that PvP is not popular in Warframe, Conclave is the proof of that. You can argue all you want about PvP and other games, it just has been proven that the vast majority of Warframe players are not in WF for its PvP. The game mechanics don't work for PvP, because we're built around an overpowered character shooting hordes in a fast paced game. There are people that still try to enjoy and make Conclave work, but clearly it doesn't. They even had to tweak weapons and most of your warframe abilities do nothing.

But here's the difference (in a good way) from Warframe PvP and other games. Warframe is completely developed towards PvE, with really minimal work towards PvP side balance, and it's completely optional, hence why it's basically dead. Conclave players are lucky that PvP doesn't break nor need fixes that often (like a couple of tweaks every few patches maybe?), otherwise it would have been long gone with the raids I bet.

They did it with a Golden Maw so why not the rest of enemies. The movement is (I think) mostly a matter disabling crouch and/or jump actions while you're 'possesing' the enemies

That was a very specific quest piece with nothing to fight other than dodging other golden maws, not regular gameplay, it's easier to control.

  12. When you run with other clannies, the host drops all the pigments instead of individually, but the amount dropped equals to everyone in the squad who was eligible for it, instead of splitting it into different drops, it's cleaner. No clue on your Tower White pigment though, it probably glitches out because the base pigment drop from condrocs is 10, 20 with booster, technically 5 pigment shouldn't happen.
Pigments can be really buggy, when bosses are suposed to drop them 100% of the time, but running Vay Hek for night blue ones, he usually doesn't drop at all, even soloing.

new ember is like that too. you can literally just build her for range and be exactly the same as she was before the "nerf". once the range gets cut in half i have 22.5 meters to work with. 45 when it is just turned on, and my ability strength is increased overall slightly.

I just sacrificed a couple of strength mods for range so when it shrinks at 100% it's nearly the same as pre-reworked one, with the doubled damage making up for the lack of strength. Just needs a bit of preparation at the begining of a mission grabbing an energy orb to proc energy conversion, and if not a grineer mission, using growing power for extra 25%, and now with Fortuna, the new 30% arcane for kitgun on headshot, while maintaining max efficiency and never running out of energy unless I afk.

Edit: Some time ago I suggested some passive/WoF rework, thread is archived now though 😞

Im sad that no one said Ember.....

    Ember needs a deserving Deluxe

I'm wishful thinking that DE will take the overwhelming negative feedback after Ember's deluxe release and make a deal with IgnusDei somehow to work with the original concept again. It was too late for her first, but not for the second 😛

if you were seriously experiencing a content drought, then nothing short of a completely new MMO was going to satisfy you.

DE never promised fortuna was going to be 2k+ hrs or fresh WF content. If youre at the cusp of all there is to do in WF, there will never be an update that's going to give you that first time feeling.

Very true. Gaming industry has evolved so much in the past years that developers can't keep up with creating content often enough. People rush it in hours/days/week(s?) after being developed for months/years. It's the way it is, there is so much to work for in a game nowadays to keep up with the graphics and optimization that comes with it, giving a game deep depth takes a lot and no game can make enough content to satisfy customers who expect that content to last months. Only MOBAs can satisfy players in this regard simply because the core game stays the same while just adding new heroes/champions or skins, but nothing extremely new to change gameplay.
