    Let's get one thing straight.

Fortuna is a really cool update. We get a massive open world area that looks amazing AND we can grind around in it with K-Drives, Raid things, and even hunt down some poop. DE have always, and are still, very ambitious and I respect them highly for being some of the most awesome devs in gaming.

However, Fortuna didn't have the same effect on me as all the other updates.

When PoE came out I was in the plains almost 24/7. When the Sacrifice came out I was picking apart Umbra and loving the lore. But when Fortuna came out I had a blast for maybe a day, and then everything was kinda mediocre for me. I actually stopped playing Fortuna after only one week. The worst part? I can't figure out why this is the case.

I man look at this update. The style, the vast expanse of Orb Vallis, the superb setting, the wanted system, that CATCHY SONG THAT STILL ISN'T OUT OF MY HEAD!!! Why am I not enjoying it? I can't put this in feedback because for the life of me I have NO IDEA.

Could it be that DE is pandering to new players to hard and since I've been playing since 2013 the enemies there stand about as much chance against me as an already dead fish in the middle of the desert has against the sun itself?

Could it be that I've lost my soul and no longer know what is fun and what isn't in a game?

Could it be that the Man in the Wall has stolen my mojo and DE is constructing an epic 20 hour quest to get it back?

I clearly can't see why, so maybe you guys can. What's up with Fortuna?

You just gave up too quickly. It took me awhile to figure it out too, but the enemies are much harder than normal nodes and definitely harder than PoE. Go to a big base like Spaceport or Temple Of Profit and see for yourself. Everything on PoE was on the surface. You need to dig a bit more with Fortuna. Exploration alone is just more enjoyable with Fortuna IMO.

  2. People talk about "must pick" mods that you don't need to pick. There are just mods that people automatically equip. I do it too, but it doesn't mean those mods are must picks. I know for a fact they aren't must picks, because there are other options that are sometimes better. Modding Chroma's weapons is the perfect example. How many people even tested the difference between using Base Damage+Multishot vs Elementals mods? How many people use Relentless Combination + Gladiator mods with Exalted Blade instead of Chromatic Blade? It will be different from frame to frame or weapon to weapon, but we have other options.

A lot of people just pick the mods that consistently work. It doesn't mean there's an illusion of choice. People are just not making choices. Capturing Eidolons is another example. The vast majority of people who take it seriously, play one meta.

  3. Why is this a thing? I understand why it wouldn't work on a boss, but I don't understand why Garuda's 2 doesn't work on other enemy types. What happened to just having shorter duration on certain units? Why do they need to be considered an "invalid target". I also would love some consistency with this. Nidus can still CC everything in the game.

I'm also getting tired of instant kill abilities not working the way they're supposed to work. Some units just completely ignore the 40% health threshold for Dread Mirror. This is the same problem Revenant has with certain units and his insta-kill ability. If these are bugs, please fix. If not, please reconsider how you're thinking about them. Thanks.

I think that there`s a serious problem with radiation sorties: People either don t understand that radiation enables friendly fire and kill their teammates accidentally...or there are always these guys who like to troll their teammates and go an a teamkilling spree. Then there is the problem too that we cannot tank even just a few shots from our allies because our damage output is way too high.

Personally I don t enjoy radiation sorties at all and would like to get them removed entirely.

Not true. You can use really tanky frames to deal with it. Anyways, I love Rad sorties because team kills can be pretty fun. Just go solo or use a frame like Revenant if it's a problem for you.

  5. Why is there such a long delay after casting her 4th ability? I'm mainly talking about casting her 4 and then her 1 right after. This wouldn't be such an annoying issue if you didn't just drop so quickly sometimes while casting in the air. This isn't the most important issue, but it really affects the "style" aspect of playing her. I also just think there's a tactical advantage to being in the air while aiming her shield downward, so you don't need to worry about enemies behind you and you can get a bird's eye view before casting her 4.

Please remove that delay, or at least allow my button press to still count if I try to charge her 1 after I cast her 4. Just let me hold it until it's available to use instead of just treating it like I never even pressed it.

Also, this mod should work with her 1...

More Ehp and less time casting 3.

    Yeah, that makes sense.

That being said, Natural Talent makes her 3 one of the fastest/smoothest abilities to spam in Warframe. I get what you're saying, but more Ehp only gets you so far before it's meaningless. Similar to adding more health/armor. Her 3 + high efficiency is closer to having infinite Ehp. She always has access to full energy with a single cast, which is great for QT, but also perfect for getting more health with her 2 or Lifestrike.

  7. I wouldn't say it's difficult, but you really need to figure out what you need and what you can do without. This is my current build... CUgN1zm.png

Garuda has access to infinite amounts of energy, so I don't understand the point of Flow/Primed Flow. Why does it matter if I increase her pool if I can always be maxed out? High efficiency is much better IMO. I'm constantly diving in and casting abilities, so I don't need much duration. I tried some range builds, but it really doesn't change much for me. Like I said, I keep diving in anyways, so healing with 145% range is perfect for me, and Dread Heart's explosion radius doesn't need to be maxed because I only care about damaging the enemies I hit with Seeking Talons.

  8. Her movement abilities break the stagger even at really high level. Adaptation and Rolling Guard are unnecessary IMO, but I think Rolling Guard is the better of the two for her. I don't even see the point of Flow or Primed Flow with Garuda. The reason you normally want those with Quick Thinking is because the more energy you have, the better it works. Garuda already has enough energy at base and she has a constant amount coming from her 3rd ability. It's MUCH more important to have high efficiency if your goal is survivability. The smallest amount of health gives you full energy if you have high efficiency. That alone will easily keep you alive with QT.

all three speed modifiers are standalone numbers that each mod increases separately. This said you can have cases where if you only put the speed mod without the boost mod your boost speed ends up slower etc. Also grind speed is it's own thing so wether you boost while doing it or not has NO effect! Don't waste a key press boosting while grinding (unless you have an N-key rollover gaming keyboard)

Yeah, I kinda noticed that's what was going on. Before I had mods I always boosted while grinding and it was faster tho. I just expected that concept to continue after we added the speed mods. It sucks because I think we might be able to close bigger grind gaps and get around faster.

  10. I was really excited to get all three of the K-Drive speed mods. I love just having fun doing tricks, but I also wanted some actual utility, so I was hoping these mods would stack properly. I'm not sure if that's actually working tho. So if I have all three mods equipped and I'm boosting while grinding, what is my actual speed buff? It just doesn't feel very fast and I would think grinding+boosting with all those mods would make it a lot faster and I'm just not seeing/feeling it. Grinding+boosting often feels slower than just boosting alone IMO.

So do these mods stack? If not, can you please fix it so they do. Thank you. 😉

  11. Test both out and see for yourself. Anyways, people get way too caught up on "DPS". You made a post comparing 205.5 to 183.7 DPS as if that means much. What actually means something is 11 fire rate compared to 3.67. The damage numbers put those two weapons in the same category, but one will feel much better to shoot. Who wants a slow automatic weapon?

  12. The Gibber is amazing and too many people sleep on it. I've built a few Haymaker builds, but the Gibber is much more fun to use IMO. I agree about Splat. I only use that loader, but it combos well with everything else. Kitguns are just strong so it really doesn't matter what you combine it with. I'll probably try out some other loaders at some point, but I think DE just added way too many. Most seem completely redundant.

  13. Simulacrum is where I go for info about builds and what does/doesn't work. I love LifeOfRio, but not for info. He's just entertaining and he has the same hopes as I do for Warframe. I also love how honest he is about how he's feeling about the game. I also love Tactical Potato for the lulz and info about devstreams.

Anyways, I stopped getting build info from other players because so many people are just saying what they've read or heard. It's just so much better and rewarding to test things out myself. Even people I respect have been wrong about so many things.

    Hey!

This is just my opinion on what I've been seeing recently. Not that I know much about marketing and stuff.

Recently, after the release of Fortuna, many Youtubers who have been sponsored by DE to try Warframe have been making review videos of the game. I understand that it is to help increase the reach and popularity of the game. But, most of these videos I saw were made after just a handful of hours of gameplay...essentially as a new player. Due to this, I'm not sure if they are really able to convey how much there is about the game that we love. Maybe, if DE asked them to play the game for a hundred hours or so (maybe even finish the second dream) and then make videos on Youtube, it would put out a better image of the game as we know it? (Again, I don't even know if it's a reasonable thing to ask of sponsored reviewers, but this is just my opinion).

Not happening and definitely not necessary. We don't need comprehensive reviews for a game most of us still don't even know how to describe to other players. It probably wouldn't even help. I got into Warframe from a video just like the ones you described. You don't need a lot to bring in new players. The game simply looks fun when you watch other people bullet jumping and shooting things. Retaining players is an entirely different story tho.

Where did you get that in any of my posts? I emphasize every time that challenge for those who seek it can be introduced without taking anything away from those who don't.

Arbitrations and ESO restrict the player in certain ways, but it only highlights the glaring weakness of Warframe's design - some frames and weapons just don't give a crap.

Maybe you didn't mean it the way I took it, but the underlined statement is where I got that. I don't think that's a weakness of Warframe's design. I think there are easy frames/weapons for the people who want to use them. I don't try extra hard to make the game more challenging for me. I just don't like using frames that make the game trivial if my goal is to have fun.

I just think about it like Batman/Superman. Batman doesn't fight Superman level enemies and Superman doesn't fight Batman level enemies. The reason I say this is because Warframe allows us to be Superman. I just want Superman level enemies. I'm not saying this is you, but it seems like some players want DE to make us more like Batman to match up with the weak enemies. We already have so much power, so just give us more powerful enemies. It's one of my favorite aspects about Fortuna.

  16. I want DE to add more challenging content that's actually fun to play. If endurance fans want quicker access to high level enemies, why give us a mode that starts enemies pretty low and has rotations that are twice as long? That's my problem with the game. DE doesn't do enough to cater to all their fans.

The problem isn't changing the actual frames, abilities, or weapons. That literally caters to one type of player. So to be very clear about this point...

    TL;DR: Warframe isn't punishing enough.

    for you.

That's not a big deal. What you're asking for is just more content that will cater to what you like. If they change frames or weapons, that can be a huge problem for other players. I think one problem is how some players attach merit to challenge. You just like challenge, which is fine. I do too, but it doesn't mean Dark Souls is better because it's challenging. You or I may like it more for that reason, but it's still subjective. All I'm saying is you can't expect everybody to play that way. Warframe is fine as is, but it just needs more stuff added. I don't want something to be taken away from other players tho.

  17. I was messing around with Captura and I decided to try the K-Drive. It felt really good and didn't feel strange IMO. It made me remember something I heard on one of the Devstreams. It was about how the grinding was set up to work based on some type of in-game physics that were already there. So basically DE doesn't need to program grind spots. K-Drive can work anywhere. I even want to use it in my Dojo and definitely on obstacle courses.

It's hard to compare K-Drive to Archwing because the're so different. The K-Drive actually works pretty well in tight spaces and there are a lot of nodes that would be a lot more fun if you could use the K-Drive there. It just makes going from point A-B more fun. Archwing NEVER achieved this and the same can be said about Volt and Zephyr, etc. They just made getting to places on large maps more convenient. K-Drive actually makes it more enjoyable. Currently you can't even pick up Cetus Wisps on the K-Drive, but it's still my favorite way to farm them. I've been farming Wisps for a long time and I have my consistant route, but I still get more on the K-Drive just because it's actually fun to ride around every lake/river I can find, so I end up getting more.

Please don't sleep on this DE. Anytime a mission requires me to go more than a few hundred meters, I would rather take my K-Drive over everything else. I always think about it now. That's pretty huge considering how most of us feel about Archwing.

    Perfect For K-Drive...

I think it needs more work, but I already love it. I think more utility in general would be great. I NEED to be able to pick up items while on it. Every ability key is available while on K-Drive, so replace the "attack" key with something else and let us use a weapon while riding. I think it would even be cool if we got a small speed buff if only a melee weapon is equipped. This has so much potential, but it needs to be fun+utility. That's how you "integrate" it with the rest of Warframe. K-Drive is currently the best "gimmick" you've added to Warframe. I still can't believe how much fun it is, but right now I either play Warframe or I K-Drive and that's why I still call it a "gimmick".

Anyways, K-Drive is already amazing, but I think it would be better if I can use it in more places and do more "Warframe" things on it. Thanks for reading.

  18. I've been seeing Nighmare Modes at Taveuni a lot lately and I was surprised the Kuva amount is the same as doing the normal mission. I don't think it should be a lot more, but I think 300 per tower instead of 200 is fair. Some of those Nightmare modes are really challenging, so it would kinda be like the "Flood" version of Kuva Survival. I also wouldn't mind if it was always available. Thanks for reading.
