  1. Well I mentioned about the mark thing because it does put an "Enemy" marker to it, and it's easier to spot it that way. Yes, the game automatically puts a red mark on the map, but have you been in a middle of exterminate mission then it spawned? There's 2 red marker on the map, one the acolyte and the other for the enemies to be killed for the mission...it can be confusing. When there's horde of enemies, it's easy to miss the acolyte, it happened on one run, everyone was dying because "horishet where's the acolyte" and then there's a bunch of fossilized infested around us...I posted these stuff because I experienced some of these.

You mark the mod or area where you defeated coz sometimes it spawn in some deadend area. Again, it happened to me, I was far when the OP MR20+ solo'd the acolyte, after he defeated it I have no idea where in the map it happened, so that's one acolyte run that I missed because someone didn't think about the other people in the team.

See, if you don't want to help your teammates searching for acolyte it's fine. It's not like this is a hard rule that everyone MUST follow. Just some courtesy act coz it makes things easy for everyone.

    that's odd...

i was under the impression you cannot join a match after the acolyte has been killed.

at least, you cannot be invited to one....

Maybe you cannot invite or be invited into...but in public runs the game sometimes puts you in a game that's already near completion. I have joined a rescue mission where they already freed the prisoner. And yes, I have been to several runs where the acolyte has spawned before I joined 😞

  3. Oh and if you joined a game and wonders if they're done with the acolyte, kindly ask them as they may not have noticed that you're late.

I'm saying this coz I had 1 guy join the game and he was being really rude. I went back and marked the area where we defeated the acolyte for him to pick up the loot (if it's still there tho) but he was like "just tell what mod you got, if it's lame then I'm not interested" 🙄
So I told him it's unidentified until we extract. Jeez, some people. 😤

  4. It's one of them peeps who thinks a game exists solely for their entertainment. It's a business and business needs money to continue running. Warframe already gives a lot of free stuff, heck, you don't even need to use real money to earn platinum, just know how the trade works, which item sells more and in demand.

  5. Warframe prides itself for having a friendly and helpful community of players, with the Acolyte event going on, I noticed a few kind gestures and some not-so nice gestures in some runs.
I think a thread that informs players of some things they can do to help their fellow Tennos in search for acolyte mods.

    • If you start the mission alone (if you do public) and you're not in a hurry, consider waiting a little bit until another player joins your game before you start with the mission. This is so that late joiners will have a higher chance of not missing the acolyte.

    • If you spot the acolyte, mark it (default is "g", I think) and it should have a red marker that reads "Enemy". If you miss and marked the floor, it's fine, what's important is you've marked the area where the acolyte is. Marking the acolyte makes it easier to spot, especially when it teleports around or when there's a horde of enemies present.

    • When the acolyte is defeated, open the big map (default is "M") and check if you have any stray teammate. Remember that everyone is searching rooms so a teammate might be far from the action when it happened. Mark the area where you defeated the acolyte so they can pick up the loot.

    • When someone joined the game after the acolyte encounter, kindly inform the player that acolyte has spawned and they missed it. I have joined a game where the acolyte showed up really early so I was running around rooms for nothing and no one told me...I just asked because they're all waiting at extraction (c'mon, nobody likes wasting their time 🙁).

    • And lastly, search the rooms. Some people think that acolyte spawn is random so they rush the mission and head to extraction, thinking it will just show up by chance.

These are just some stuff I saw happen in some of my runs. If you have anything more to add, then feel free to do so 😄
Let's help each other have a smooth and quick acolyte hunt \o/

  6. Wow, you're all mean. You can just simply educate the OP about how modern computers work.
Did you know that computers are capable of running multiple applications at the same time? YES! Amazing, I know!
This means you can have your browser open, then idk maybe play a game, so you can browse for some cat pics while the game loads or something. Awesome, right?
There's also a shortcut to make it even easier and faster to switch between active applications, it's alt+tab. You don't even need dual monitor for this, even a single monitor can do it, yey! 😄

  7. BuT wHaT if IRL stUfF hApPEnZ?! Then communicate with your team that you have to do something really quick. Now, if whatever you have to do will take you more than a minute, I think the most decent thing to do is you leave the team or ask if they're all cool to carry on with the mission while you do your IRL stuff. Consent. If they're cool, then okay, right?
Things likes this are very rare, so I don't know why everyone is so afraid that a vote to kick will harm them when IRL interferes while they're playing. Are you always getting interrupted by IRL stuff when you're playing?

ThEy wiLl kiCk mE iF I uSe x frAme1!! Probably the same people who complain that their team was angry at them or telling them to stop using certain abilities. Why do you think people do that? Because they don't want to run with that frame. I know, discrimination is a downside of vote to kick, I have suffered that but it's not much of a pain because you will end up running with a team that accepts and allows whatever you wanna do (so yeah, leechers will end up in a team that tolerates leeching, everyone wins!). It's not perfect, but it's much better than having to deal with leechers.

There's no need to appoint a staff to monitor this, if any, they would just receive more tickets from butt hurt players because they've been kicked, boo-hoo.

Not because you don't encounter leechers or you don't mind leechers, nothing should be done to stop them. "Hey, I have never been robbed, so thieves shouldn't be imprisoned." that's how some of the logic in this thread goes. Point is leechers should have the hard time leeching, not the other way around. People say "report the leecher", "leave the team", "play solo", "make a pre-made team", "play with friends" but that puts the inconvenience towards the honest, decent players and I find it really bizarre that most of you are fine with this.

This is a good idea for the experienced as well, as I get tied of scrolling through my weapons too fast and ending up in the "gotta buy" section of my weapons only for me to think, damn, I passed it again.

Yes, yes I know...  there's a search field for precisely that reason.  But when I'm talking with friends in Discord or watching a streamer; scrolling is often easier.

Perhaps this is something that should be toggled in options as a new and veteran alike can make the intelligent decision whether they want to see what can be bought...  Or not...

A toggle option would be nice too, I'm still new and my arsenal is pretty small so I don't suffer the scrolling-to-infinity yet haha, make it opt-out so they still get to flash those shiny things to new players haha.

  9. It kinda works like "advertising" the weapons/items to you, although I have to agree that it should show that you can buy a blueprint to craft some items. Even the interface on the market is not clear about blueprints...I only learned about blueprints after watching a youtube video because those tiny icons they use aren't pretty clear on telling what that tab is for, heck, it doesn't even look like a tab, you can easily mistake it as a decorative icon.
So instead of just having a "Purchase" and "Back" button when you select a weapon/item from the arsenal, a third button for blueprint should be added, and once clicked, a mini-window will open showing you the ingredients it needs along with the button to purchase the blueprint. I don't think they should remove it though, coz this can be a potential way to have someone purchase something but yes, some players may be turned off if they don't see the other option of attaining an item.

  10. How about no fish, gems and ore IF there is an active bounty? So fishers and miners are forced to make their solo instance.
I know that the drops are affected by bounty tier...the higher the tier, the more drop you will get. However, AFAIK when aiming for incursions, people will purposely fail a bounty so that the incursion will be at the rotation they wanted (tier 4-5 bounty = rotation c), I'm not sure if drops works the same. If it does, then fisher and miners can just do what people do with incursions, no need to "accidentally" join an active public bounty because you want to mine 1000 pyrol.

But that wouldn't stop the leechers who just want to have a free ride on everything, as in they're not fishing or mining, they really just want to do some other stuff outside the game while leaving the team to finish the mission for them. I cannot think of other way to prevent this from happening except having the ability to remove the problematic player from the team.
No damage contribution is not a good measure because I've been in a team with MR20+ players and despite spamming all my skills, I still have the lowest, sometimes 0% damage because they kill everything so fast, so yeah, that might hurt some decent players because a spammy Saryn can make them look like they're not doing anything at all. Also, RIP support frames.

I don't understand why people are so afraid of vote to kick. I've played games where they have the system, and while it's not a perfect system at least those games don't have parasites leeching every group they join because the moment you afk, you get your bunghole kicked.
"BuT iT cAn bE aBuSed!11!!!" The same way leechers are abusing the current system of having no system at all. And who says that the vote to kick can't be improved? Let's think...
Problem: People are afraid that they will be kicked if the group wanted a specific frame or build. Welp, why would you want to play with those people when they are looking for something else? It's their right to pick the member they want. It's part of team composition, I think it's better for everyone.
How to prevent from being abused: But of course you may argue that someone will probably kick anyone for some weird entertainment. So what if we're only able to vote kick ONCE in a party. Requires 3 votes for a 4-man party, 2 for 3-man.
Making it better: After the kick, the player will return to their orbiter (Cetus if in the Plains, Fortuna if in Orb Vallis) but they are auto-cued for matchmaking for the same mission/bounty they were kicked, so it saves you a few clicks to re-do the whole process of taking the mission/bounty.

Problem: Troll host kicks when the mission is complete or near completion.
How to prevent from being abused: Vote to kick (or kick, if it's a 2-man) will be disabled after a certain time or condition depending on the mission type.
Examples (this is just an example, it can be improved) : after wave 1 in defense, when the rescue cell have been reached, after the 1st vault in spy, when the capture has been spotted (not captured), after the 1st bounty, etc...
Making it better: Game needs to be changed so late join won't be possible. Because sometimes you start of with the mission already at 50%, this is very often on bounties, and because vote to kick will be disabled, leechers can still take advantage of late join, since they can just auto-cue until they late join a game and then they can have fun afk-ing without fear of being kicked.

Those are the only problems I can think of for now but seriously, it's so weird to see people defending leechers OR making it seem like it's the player's fault that they are playing public instead of doing solo or organized team, kinda reminds me of rape culture, they blame the victim not the offender.

we, the players don't tolerate it: if I could, i'd have all those caught leeching banned for a week, or longer, but Leechers are always gonna be a thing no matter what. like it or not, solo or premade is the only viable solution to the problem, it's just up to you whether or not you wish to use it. DE have stated multiple times that a kick sytem will never be implemented as they are prone to abuse.

if you aren't willing to solo or use recruit chat, then I suggest you temper your expectations of public games: public means you're signing up to take literally anybody with you, useless or not. public games will not go your way 100% of the time, and to expect so is completely unreasonable. leechers suck, but then so do many other things in life that we can't get rid of.

But talking as if nothing can be done is almost the same as tolerating it.
I understand how pubs work but other games have a system that makes it easy to get rid of crappy people in a team INSTEAD of making the whole team leave because of 1 person.
I don't mind carrying someone afk-ing but it can get really irritating when it's a frequent encounter and it becomes an issue because why aren't they doing anything to stop it? And then people will start telling you "play solo", "use recruit chat", "play with friends or clan"...see, afk-ers and leechers won't stop because everyone is tolerating them.
It's like you found a rotten apple, do you throw the whole box or do you just get rid of the rotten one? People here seems to suggest to throw the whole box and to never buy a box of apple ever again.
I don't know how many similar threads have existed before but if there's been a lot, then it is obviously a big problem.
People keep making threads like this because they wanted to talk about it and have a discussion about it so idk what you guys accomplish by going in here and shrugging like "hey, it's not that bad, just play solo if you don't like it". How about we just do something to stop this kind of behavior, right?
Again, people who play properly shouldn't be the one adjusting for them.

  12. Or they can just implement a system that squad members can vote to kick someone from the team, if it's just the two of you then the lazy turd gets kicked right away.

Don't tell me to just play solo if I don't want to encounter players like this when that kind of behavior shouldn't be tolerated in the first place...people who play properly SHOULDN'T be the one adjusting for the unruly players.

  13. I honestly find it weird that a glass themed frame doesn't have a reflect thing going on with her skills 😕

Anyway, I like this suggestion and maybe if they lower the energy cost from 75 to maybe 50 at least. If the damage seems OP, they can just make it reflect a small % of damage dealt by enemies, coz I'm looking at this skill and I don't think DE sees this as a damage-dealing skill but more of a CC, but right now it fails to do it's job on higher levels 🙁

  14. Meh, this isn't as bad compared to what I've encountered while doing a defense alert. One Excalibur just stood above the cryopod and went afk, occasionally moving a bit to prevent triggering idle status *sigh* I was using Gara so he knows he can safely afk.
I wanted to break the glass wall so bad so he would get hit but he's standing at the cryopod, so we have no choice but to move on and defend the objective. (I don't spam 4,1,4,1 combo when I run with other people because I don't want them to hate meeee)

I usually just let those kind of things go since the mission wasn't that hard but if it was a difficult one and some player decided to let the rest of the team do the work 😠
Anyway, OP's complaint is off tho. Interception is really about staying and defending your point until the round ends. And I don't mind people doing "afk gaming" as long as they're still helping complete the objective, whether they are happily spamming their skill or they have specters out...as long they contribute something, it's fine. If it was the same with the guy on my defense mission, did absolutely nothing and still got the rewards. Maybe a player point system that counts kills and assists (for support roles), and completing the objective (retrieving data in spy, capturing targets, etc), so if someone went afk, they would get the lowest amount of reward or no reward at all MUWAHAHA to discourage afk-ing.

Lastly, don't be a crybaby if no one revived you. Srsly, how old are you?
I don't expect people to revive me especially if we're all busy fighting/defending or doing whatever the objective is. "Forget about me and go make this mission a success!" 😭

Use Excal's 4 on anything that moves 😉 With a nice build you can basically spam it while the drone travels. Check warframe-builder.com for builds. then the wiki on how to get the mods for those builds 🙂

My problem in spamming 4 is that I run out of energy but the drone is still far from it's destination 😞 I don't have a good efficiency mod yet but I will definitely upgrade it right away when I get one.

I'm planning to join a clan, just wanna find one that is relaxed.

It is actually pretty easy with a f2p MR4 account to complete the whole star chart (enemies until lv 50) in solo mode, so after some practice (and with the right builds you should be fine)

and you need less investment than you may think.

Try to copy these builds and you will have no problems whatsoever:

https://imgur.com/a/mDi5Obo (backup album if images won't load)

These mods are actually pretty easy to come by (except Rejuvenation). Hunter Adrenaline is on Ghouls Bounty but I can give you 2 copies for you and your friend if you want. Most of the gold/yellow mods can be found on Teshub in the crates. Most of the mods in Hek can be found on Amalthea after you reached Jupiter (it's a Spy mission)

Thanks for these builds. I've been lurking around for some builds but most threads are for higher MR players so most of the mods suggested are still too far from my progress in the star chart. Excalibur is really good, I think he can solo the early contents easily, I just feel like I'm playing him wrong that's why I'm itching to try a different frame lol.

  16. First off, I wanna say that I like warframe and I love the fact that it is a true free-to-play. I'm very new to the game and the genre so I pick Excalibur as starter frame because I'm more concerned in surviving while learning the basics of the game than looking cool. (Volt looks really cool but he's a bit squishy)
I'm slowly learning how to play effectively and I'm starting to see that Excalibur doesn't fit my playstyle. He's good but I feel like I'm not using his full potential simply because I don't play that way...and that feels so wrong and it's bothering me lol.
While "window shopping" for other frames, I took interest on Gara and since I've acquired her main blueprint early on, I decided that maybe, just maybe, I can try to farm her.
I know that PoE isn't really a place for newbies to hang around, this was very obvious to me while I was doing Saya's Vigil. (Because that quest came in right after the tutorial so I thought it should be the next thing to do)
I researched her mats and it seems like the only part where I will have trouble (as a new player that likes to solo stuff) are her components' blueprints which are RNG-based bounty rewards with very low drop rate.
I don't mind the S#&$ ton of rocks, ores and fish for her mats as I actually think it's a fun and relaxing thing to do after a fast-paced, action packed fight with monsters...aliens? whatever.
My problem with the bounties is that I have to complete at least stage 2 for the lowest level bounties for a chance of her blueprint, and with my crap gear right now it's almost impossible to do it solo (I know, it's not supposed to be done solo but I don't enjoy running with random strangers, so I solo stuff even it's harder that way).

But wait! This is NOT a whiny boo-hoo thread!

    TL;DR SKIP HERE!

I'm currently working on my gear and slowly making my way around the star chart. I'm obtaining items that seems to be rare and very helpful in gearing (exilus adapter and forma to be exact). Now here comes my problem. Because these items seems to be "rare", I fear that I might waste it if I put it on Excalibur, a good frame but I don't have any intent of using for too long.
It's important for me to plan ahead on grind-heavy games like this to save me from farming and wasting precious resources on temporary things.
NOW, I would like to ask for advice on what is the best thing to do on my situation:
    • How realistic is my plan to rush farm for Gara at this very early stage? I'm currently MR4 and still on Phobos. (I'm unlocking the star chart with my lesser active friend--he's a newbie too, so that might slow me down a bit)
    • Should I just forget about getting her early and get back to her like after MR10 or something?
    • I know gearing Excalibur would make farming for Gara easier, I really need more mod capacity on Excalibur but then how easy/hard is it to farm for these exilus and orokin stuff that expands mod capacity? Are they rare but farmable once I'm geared up? Or is this a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of rare, so only really use it on main frames?
    • Is it a wise and efficient idea to invest on Excalibur first and then go get Gara? Or can I half-ass gear Excalibur and still be able to do Ostron bounties with not much of a trouble? I really just need the bounties that drop her component bp.

I know there are better and easier frames to farm than Gara but she's really interesting for me, so I have my mind set on her.
I also know that I can just farm for prime parts, sell them for plat and use it to buy Gara but I have this weird "rewarding feeling" when I farm something rather than straight out buying it. (Yeah it's still a "grind" to save all those plat, but it's different from farming mats one-by-one and crafting her on the foundry)
And if you have any tips for clearing bounties easier (besides "git gud nub!"), like can I lure those Grineers away so they won't raep the squishy drone as it travels 1k meters from point A to point B or something, that'd be great 🙂
