1. I've always wanted some type of healer sentinel equipped with a light SMGish weapon.

    Or a rocket sentinel.

But yeah, I like the idea of having a scanner-type sentinel too. Good for infested missions where you apparently are trying to find a nonexistant tumor.

  2. To be completely honest, I logged in once I saw this to swat this thread to the ground. I thought it'd be another stupid and redundant rant about infested being OP or some other crap. But then I realized, you actually based this thread on valid points. +1 to you.

So, let me start this off.

Been playing since the old days- I think I started slightly after closed beta ended. No idea. My forum acc's been here since Oct 22 2013, but I made it far after I actually started playing. ANYWAY-

So, I solo 99.9% of all of my missions. I'm one of those "I'm not a scrub so I don't use Rhino or Nova" people (not because they're bad frames, only b/c they're overused and annoying to see after a while). I mainly play as Nyx or Excalibur for my missions, including the mutualist ones (which I've finished). Decided to bring out my dusty Amprex, except I had to update the builds on it since the ones I used were for casual gameplay, which is basically nothing over lv 20. Anyways, I picked a bland and basic corrosive+heat crit build. Brought twin wraith vipers with a corrosive+heat bullet hell build, and I bought a sheev since I only got it to 15 and I needed some mastery. Put a basic corrosive and heat build on it.

See what I'm getting at? Corrosion destroys anything with armor, not to mention it chains to enemies for added effect with the amprex. Fire cleans up all the other fodder units, and the crits/mass production of bullets ensure I'm doing enough damage to survive for more than three seconds.

And, if you don't have a good crowd control weapon, Shred goes a long way. Seriously- I turned a grinlok from a single-unit heavy damage weapon to an honestly decent crowd control weapon. It's not bad.

  3. I like Ordis. I just hate it when he repeats the exact same dialogue line (those who suffered through the archwing quest know what I mean. WHADARYA W8ING 4???)

But, that's still a cool idea. Don't know what effects it would have lore-wise though.

  4. I mean, I had a rank 3-4 odonata and weapons which weren't above 6. No mods on anything.

What I did was make the others realize a point-

We don't NEED every point, every second, every minute of the game.

We just need more than the other team.

After that point was made, 3 people holding their own nodes and me acting as an anti-swarm dude helping anyone who was being swarmed, it was easy cruising. Ended with something like 30-100.

Another good point is that melee 2.0 really shines in archwing, especially with lots of enemies and the autodashing.

  5. Warframe makes alot of cash off this.

It's one of the few things that you NEED to buy with plat but doesn't necessarily make the game P2W, which is really hard to pull off and extremely important. Think of it this way:

    War + Frames = Warframe

People + Frames = More frames

More frames - Space = Need for more space

Need for more space + Cash = Profit

    9 + 10 = twennywan.

Of course, In a perfect world i would love to not have to shell out a few bucks for plat, but ah well. The ~100 plat I've made off trading should be enough for a while (since I can maintain it)

  6. I always had this small idea of reengineered Hyenas.

I mean, we've reengineered weapons, we have flying robots of death (except for the missing flamethrower sentinel that I know everyone wants..), why not that?

Maybe that can go out with top-mounted miniguns on the pets..Too much? Alright. :(

On a serious note though, I really do want an orokitten or reengineered hyena or something cat-like. (I am a dog person, but I have a whole lot of cat friends. <3)

  7. Interesting albeit overdone concept.

As Paradox said, I agree that abilities should be fun once you spend 3 days, credits, minerals and materials, etc to make the warframe.

    Because, think about it-

To get a warframe, you must:

    Gather credits and materials

Gather the blueprints for the systems, chassis, and helmet

Craft the systems, chassis, and helmet

    Create the actual warframe

Not to mention that you can't speed any of this up due to the crafting time cap of 3days (more if you count the time it takes to make the individual pieces.)

Along with that, you're going to have to max out the frame to use his/her abilities to mid-endgame.

Also, for clarification, how do you get a "charge"? I read that when you use the ability, you get a charge..from what I saw, and please correct me on this, that means you need to use the ability X times in a mission before you can use its' primed version..?

In conclusion, I really do like the idea. I just don't like that it's X Prime. It's redundant. The core concept is awesome though, and I wish that the warframe's basic abilities were atleast slightly buffed/given utility ALONG with having a primed version.

  8. Everyone plays differently bro, thats probably just his fave style. Similar to you having your fave style. Theres no such thing as a "proper" way to play the game, just enjoy it while we play, and youll be the best, regardless of the situation

Eh, sorry, I didn't mean to come off as offensive if I did.

It's just the idea of using energy to counter a simple grab is..unique.

  9. I don't know about you guys, but my ability-stripped immortally built Saryn works fine. I just bring a gun and trash that I need to level in the background (need to soak up the XP somehow.)

    *SIGGGGGGH*

How to not get grabbed in ONE EASY STEP:

    - Be Nyx, press 3

    - Be Vauban, press 3 or 4

    -Snipping right here-

Proper warframe players don't use abilities as crutches. Seriously? Wasting energy just to counter a single grab?

  10. You've broken two rules.

    1) Don't compare games that were not meant to be realistic to real life. I thought that would be pretty simple to follow.

    2) You didn't follow the above rule.

$&*^headedness aside, I do agree with the idea that Warframe can feel slow at times. Think an all-around speed boost of every entity in the game would be both hard to do but make the game more intuitive.
