I can solo sotries with so many weapons and frames with ease. Haven't played Soma P and Boltor P for a long time sp i can't say anything to that. But if i take my Vaykor Hek for example, i just oneshot everything in sorties, even with Phys/Ele Enhancement. I would not call this a challenge. It is only one example of many.

I wish I had your reflexes, motor coordination, attentiveness, visual acuity, combat instincts, innate directional orientation, and small-scale-strategy.

I miss my shots way too often despite my best efforts to be effective in any way with a Tigris or Hek variant.

Well, you're made of star dust, but that doesn't mean I can get a celestial body out of you.

False.  If you incinerate a human body you will be able to acquire all of the constituent elements present in star dust, although some of that dust would have to come from admittedly distant stars.

Theres an end game? You mean sorties? Becouse you can solo them with an mk1 bration if you wanted to.

False.  You might be able to.  I have 5 forma on my beloved MK1, and I promise you, I can't approach anything that's level 30 or higher without being mercilessly slaughtered.  So please stop assuming I have your level of skill.  Also, no, I will not be able to "git gud", it's taken me 30 years of gaming everyday to achieve "technically mediocre".  If I work on it, another 30 might make me "good", and then another 30 years, I might be "great".

lets kill her and ordis so we can call it a day; finally be able to mod and color without pop ups

I guess I'll be the only guy in game to say it.  I like Ordis.

Unrelated, I'd like to thank you for using an apostrophe correctly in a thread title.  Take an upvote.  :D

  5. Mastery Rank 21 player here, 2000 hours on profile, would be MR22 if I could manage to pass the test...

My 4-Forma Soma Prime / Boltor Prime isn't strong enough to solo sorties, regardless of my frame, so I disagree that there isn't enough challenge.

I've been an avid gamer since the Atari 2600.  I've literally spent three decades plus as a gamer, striving to achieve the mediocrity I now can claim, and while that sounds unimpressive, if you had seen how I started out at age 8, you'd be impressed at the progress.  I used to be abominable, worked my way up to bad, improved to tolerable levels, spent 3 months trying to learn how to perform a "hadoken" in Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and after decades more, have gotten to become mediocre.

For someone with my inability to aim perfectly, my inability to notice things on the screen, my inability to navigate the game's god-awful mapping system, and my generally feculant reflexes, I promise that Warframe has plenty of challenge.

If not for my mods, I'd still be stuck at Mercury.

no one said you have to buy boosters that was your choice just do all kuva floods and siphon and you get around 3000 kuva just try it

I tried a kuva flood once, and was utterly demolished.  I absolutely detest Kuva farming, I despise invincible enemies with an unrivalled passion, and swapping in and out of kid mode is problematic, It requires inconvenient button presses and the transitions take precious seconds.

I would love to see traditional alert missions offer Kuva.  I'd gladly take it in batches of 200 or so at a time.

  8. The problem is that some particles are cosmetic, and some particles are not, so the classic example is Mirage with Hall of Mirrors, and a Kohm.  This combination caused tons of particles to spring into existence, and all of them were important, as all of them contribute to killing power.  Turning those particles "down" would represent a rather brutal nerf of her abilities, and meant that Mirage's power scales with the cost of your computer.

    That's not good for anyone.

DE would have to implement a way to track both kinds of particles, and offer the ability to remove the cosmetic ones, and even then, the important projectile particles STILL cause a performance hit on low-end systems, so the only fair answer is to carefully manage particles across the board, and keep an eye on the desired damage output.

  9. I think that this idea really needs attention.  Chroma is my big sticking point, and Limbo fits also.  Since Warframe slots are a premium item you can only get with real money (read: platinum), people would be tempted to sell those frames.  A year later, they scrape together $20 to burn on platinum, (that was my life story for the first year I was here) and finally have a couple hundred plat, they burn it on slots.  Suddenly, they have room for those frames.

Oh well, better spend an additional $20 to $30 on platinum so that you can buy them outright because you're a filthy plebe who isn't rich, and as punishment for not being able to buy extra slots earlier, you now have to pay hard-earned money because you were too poor to keep the free stuff, and we absolutely refuse to consider a method to give you the same free stuff again.

The argument is irrelevant at this point.  I sort understand lens farming from second dream being an issue, as it is probably technically easier for lower mastery players (or unskilled players such as myself) to complete than a sortie, and it's a guaranteed normal lens...  However the other stuff?  I don't get it at all.  As pointed out earlier, a full set of Warframe parts would yield what, 3500 for the BP, and 2500 for each of the parts?  11,000 credits total then?  DE can't honestly say they care about slowly farming 11k credits, not when 25k credit darkSector missions, and 50k credit sorties are a thing.

I really like the suggestion of having the items be quest-locked in the marketplace, so that once you complete the quest, these non-trade-able items can be reacquired with some simple farming. Kudos to --Q--Voltage for that idea.

  10. I can't even get that far.  I'm on Lua, stuck trying to activate this Orokin pipe organ thing, and nothing is happening.  There were some sentients, and after a couple revives, I managed to kill them, but now I'm just staring in this room, feeling lost.

    -----------------------

Edit - restarting Warframe fixed that.

Have you removed damage mods from your weapons, since they are pretty useless in low level content, it let you see modding under a new eye.

No.  My "weakest" weapon is my MK1 Braton.  It has 5 forma.  If I really want to feel challenged, I use that.  It's serviceable up to about level 25ish enemies.  If I'm helping out a new player, sometimes I'll use that or my Dera Vandal.

Essentially, if it takes more than a second and a half to kill an enemy, the game feels grindy and my weapon feels underpowered.

  12. At 1900 hours on the profile, and Master 20+, I'm kind of tired of Warframe's difficulty.  I'm quite happy to just demolish low level content.  This change to sorties is completely unwelcome to me.  Invincible things are in no way desired, and when I started, so long ago, the complete absence of such annoying opponents kept me hooked for a long time.

I'm a Conqueror, not an Athlete.

If DE wants to push Warframe into "Elite Athletes Only" territory, I suppose they're welcome to do so.  I just won't be able to stand playing through it.

I am not asking it to inherit Syndicate mods , just the weapons unique passive.
Which is now becoming a thing like it or not.

and soon enough all weapons will have a passive of their own , so what is the harm in making them work with certain frames ?

This would be bad because it would mean that all weapons lacking powers become instantly useless.  Again, repeating myself here:  If your suggestion is implemented, then using Redeemer, or Galatine Prime, or Dragon Nikana all become "plebe" choices because there is no reason to ever want to give up a weapon's cool power when you could have it for free.

Your suggestion will invalidate all "normal" weapons instantaneously.

As we all have seen in the Second Dream Quest when we are in the hands of the Stalker in our orbiter, our Warframe breaks the sword on his own.

More likely story:  Our operators were tapping in to the powers of the void that Teshin hints we all have.  The warframe was NOT acting with its own sentience, the warframe was responding to the subconscious direction of our operator, who, on the verge of death, was able to initiate transference remotely, just as we all can do after War Within.

It's very important to remember that the wiki CONTAINS canon information, but the wiki also contains user-added speculation.  If it is not in the codex, and you can't prove it is from a Dev Stream or Q&A, then you have to mentally categorize EVERYTHING you read as "maybe".  The wiki lore section starts off with "The following article/section is conjecture. Content is subjected to change/removal as the game progresses".

Of course, on retrospect, this means that Valkyr now conflicts with Canon, as Canon lore states that the original Valkyr was experimented upon, so it would be impossible for the Orokin Era Valkyr Prime to have the same powers as the current Valkyr, who's powers are a result of the rage of being tortured by Alad.

Unless... Alad V is an original Orokin human, and experimented on Valkyr Prime countless years ago, and only RECENTLY used that knowledge on the Zanuka Project.

The weapon mods get transferred not the weapon stats , learn the game please .

You just argued for my point as the correct one.

Only the mods for a weapon should transfer over.  Weapon innate powers should not transfer over.  This means Ivara needs a change because if Ivara is the only one who can inherit weapon powers, why doesn't Excal, Titania, or Valkyr inherit that power?

Warframe powers that turn into weapons inherit your weapon mods because powers have flat damage stats that fall off very fast in end game.  Valkyr's Hysteria was changed for that very reason.  Players noted that Valkyr was a melee berserker frame, and incapable of doing any useful damage in end game because her claws had flat stats.

DE added "mod inheriting" to allow players to augment her melee power, allowing her to still participate in high level missions as a melee frame, instead of merely becoming "The goddess of standing around reviving people".  DE had seen that Valkyr wasn't capable of being a melee berserker in end game, and fixed that defect.  The change only affected Valkyr.  You could still use any melee weapon you might wish.

If Weapon innate powers transfer over to a Warframe, then you simply pick a "power enhanced weapon", forma it up, and use that, since the neato power AND all the mods transfer over.

If Weapon innate powers transfer over to a Warframe, then ALL weapons should be given a weapon power, in order to maintain balance.

For my Excalibur, I use Redeemer.  It is my favorite weapon.  It has 4 or 5 forma.  I can't fit any more mods on it, or upgrade any more mods.  With my Redeemer being so heavily forma-enhanced, it makes Exalted Blade insanely effective.  The beauty of this is that it didnt' have to be redeemer.  A 5 forma Skana would be JUST AS AWESOME.  So would a 5 forma Ether Dagger set.  So would a 5 forma MK-1 Bo.  All weapons can be equally awesome for Excalibur.

If we change it so that Excalibur's Exalted Blade now also inherits Weapon powers AND mods, then all Excalibur's would instantly switch to syndicate melee weapons for the cool explosion, and other nifty effects.  Using Redeemer, or Galatine Prime, or Dragon Nikana all become "plebe" choices because there is no reason to ever want to give up a cool power when you could have it for free.

Because I have learned the game, I know that the intent is that weapon powers are not supposed to transfer to Warframes.  Justice Blades for Dual Cleavers made those the absolute best weapons in the game if you were using an Excal.  DE quickly changed that to prevent special augments and similar effects from transferring over because that was not intended, and represented a power creep they wanted to avoid.

Also, if I didn't know the game very well, I wouldn't have spent 3 years writing, changing, updating, and working on a complete new player's guide for Warframe.  Sadly, being able to write a good guide doesn't transfer to internet fame, so I understand that only 1 out of 20,000 Warframe players are even aware of it, if I'm optimistic.
