1. It's to be expected. There has be some balance to it. they can't just go around priming every mod and prisma every weapon, we already have a big enough issue with power creep. Take pride in that fact you have everything, don't complain about not being catered to every month with new content.

    This^

For the first 2 days I was unable to obtain any points on round 2.. Come back after the hot-fix excited to progress, now during the time trial jack O' either gets stuck charging into a tree or stays in one spot for almost a minute at a time just shooting gas pumpkins while standing NO WHERE NEAR the explosive pumpkins.. GG

and for the Closed Beta those people could just buy it for 1 credit and no effort had to be made to get it, I have a friend who owns the Braton Vandal and he hardly ever played the game but he does have that weapon, the event weapons cost a whole lot more effort to obtain...

    Preech it!

    There's only 504 hours in 3 weeks.

"Veteran -- a person who has had long experience in a particular field."

Like I said, you can be a "year one" player and have next to no experience. Being a "first year player" in no way makes you a "veteran"

    Have a nice day.

You're just trying to use "Veteran" as a relative statement now to fit your argument and merely playing on words. Obviously..>Facepalming<..If you've got under 1000 hours and you're a first year player..you don't really play the game and this obviously doesn't apply to them as those people probably aren't here.. Your ideology fits well with the rest of the wikians though.

But we've derailed OP's* post enough as it, My apologies OP.

    there's always one.

love it when a player bashes people for "not being veterans"....

    Wow...projecting much?

I bashed no one, only made a simple observation, don't cry.

Just because you "no-life" it for 1000 hours in 6 weeks does not make you a vet bud.

Generally, we're classed into "first year players" which funny enough, still doesn't include you ^.^

  6. I wasn't compensated for my wraiths.. Any of them. Or any of my vandals, as they were all from the original events. No special skin or sigil for me, or anyone else who did it. Why TF would you original owners be "compensated" for re-releasing the Braton?

    Seriously?

Honestly, that logic is $&*&*#(%& and rather childish.

Everyone else lost their wraith/vandal prestige when the rest were re-released, what makes you so special?

  7. Totally calling BS.. This has been happening since last week and only started directly after my download finished and I've refused to play since. Myself and quite a few others had other forum posts up about this with the same thing happening to hundreds of ppl since the update dropped. It was even suggested that it was "connectivity issues" on our end.. Now we're chalking it up to a DDOS? right.

    Ok, sorry for being honest.

I never said that they didn't work hard on the update, all I'm saying is that it's filled with bugs and imo it didn't add that much. Just saying, next time you decide to ask someone why they're not happy with the new update don't expect them to be all positive.

Don't play into that bs dude.. Of course you didn't even remotely imply that, he's just playing word games because you gave him an answer he didn't like.. It's the same as U16 but worse. Also, @BAY35 not sure what world you live in but they don't do that out of the kindness of their hearts..they get paid to. So please, don't imply that because DE stayed at work to fix the issues with their re-hash update that they're "holy than thou". They have a business to run, you seem to forget who's providing for who here.. If you're vet to the game there was NO new content except kavats and archwing weapons. That is...unless you were also one of the many that got kicked out of half the solar map after it being completed for years..That's not new. So take that into consideration before you throw on your suit of armor next time.

For very various reasons this method is much more intuitive for most end users. Even those that are aware of, or have the knowledge of how to disable CPU core parking would probably prefer modern games and upcoming titles to have this framework in place without the need for any additional tinkering from our end. Not to mention this is basically guaranteed to increase performance without having to disable the power saving settings core parking offers, as well as you should only need to do that when your computer is not functioning correctly. Windows optimally should disable core parking when a task requires more processing power, though for most games with current and previous APIs, it does not seem to be the case.

Games (to my very little knowledge in development) up to this point try to limit the amount of CPU usage to only need one or two cores. I am guessing because this was the standard capabilities of hardware for many years, and the only mainstream options available under OpenGL and previous DirectX versions. I've also heard theories that it is done to closer match the experience from Console players. Same reason we usually get a visual downgrade in the PC Release ports of most AAA games from what is shown in trailers, and 'In Engine Footage'. (looking at you Watch_Dogs)

If DE decides to update their game to be able to take advantage of Vulkan or DirectX12 then they could in theory, increase the number of particles, and content available on screen at any given moment, secure in the knowledge that a majority of users will be able to handle this fairly easily.

But for Wf though? I mean I get your point, but you can max setting with a 970 and the processor requirements are fairly low as it is. And if you're running windows 7/8 your cores are capped till you manually unpark them, A problem that was suppose to be addressed more than a year ago. I didn't think it was that unheard of though, but if it benefits the majority I don't see why they wouldn't implement it.

I think those players who like to make endurance runs into the void are the most disappointed with SotR.

    This^

For Veteran players, especially those who strive to stay on top of the most recent content for mastery, It's a shaft.

It's not a horrible update by any means, just a buttload of bugs.

The reality is, the star chart has been completed for years for us.. there's no reason to go there unless we're A) Farming cores, keys or resources. Or B)Alerts. Maybe the occasional leveling at your local spy or that one interception we don't speak of anymore.. (cough)

Void endurance missions with clan mates, Min/maxing, introducing newbies to prime farming or just helping another clan mate with that unlucky piece..That was our bread and butter.. . Testing our mettle and theory crafting for the next best experience, meanwhile, passively collecting resources and pieces we already have for either ducats or trade chat to make profit.

Those missions are gone, taking the challenging aspect with it. The few places in the starchart I did frequent, to name a couple, Cupid on Uranus, Egeria on Ceres, Mimas and Cassini on saturn, great for solo XP farm or Mettle challenge mode. Gone.

A lot of us got screwed over on junctions and planet progression, making us backtrack through missions already completed or being locked out of half the star chart.

Prime missions are now boring with little to no challenge and have simply amp'd up the you-know-who meta. (bladestorming intensifies)

The market has no idea what it wants to do. I haven't been able to sell anything except cats.. Which is a whole other monster by the way...

It seems small and stupid but when that's all you know in a game for years on end, you learn to love that game for it..then they take it away and you're 2-3 years deep and now you feel like you're completely starting over.

That's discouraging as hell to A LOT of people.

They're both APIs. More importantly both Vulkan and Directx12 allow games to use multiple cores on CPUs rather than the usual 1 or 2. Some games already have released a patch to take advantage of this. AMD recently released a driver that now makes this possible, and Nvidia either already did, or is going to very soon. This increases game performance by quite a bit, and is overall seen as a huge benefit to gamers with quadcore and up CPUs.

You can hear more about it here: https://youtu.be/tyJY5oUBbt4 NSFW due to some language, unless you wear headphones, then it's whatever.

But..can't you just unpark your cores and achieve the same thing?

  12. Well, I'm a breeder so I usually have a few dozen pups in my stasis at any time. After they added the "instant mature" I went through and matured all of mine. All but 3 came out like that. Some of them have already fixed themselves but a good dozen or so still look like this.

Yes. I have finished all junctions and hadn't received a single point after any of them and all of them. I have just checked, the numbers have not changed in the meantime.

    Likewise..

Edit: Not to jump too far off topi but is anyone else's Dark split sword still jacked up in their codex?

I have 3 forma in and in the codex it still has the wrong placeholder and now says it's only half ranked -___-

Not sure whether this contributes to any of the missing mastery or not but thought I'd mention it.

  14. Agreed, soul Punch is pretty lackluster

I think with the increasing AoE it's got serious spam-ability potential, which as we know, always gets the most complaints.

But the "Soul fragment" idea is really cool by it's self.

Instead of increasing the AoE of each blast just make a Soul Fragment of every enemy you hit directly with punch for the duration of their ragdoll(not including additional ragdolled enemies, only the enemy it was cast on). Say, 4 seconds base at R30, increased by duration with the same dmg mechanics you mentioned.

    Sounds pretty cool.
