  1. Sorry for the double post. To explain the dismissing return, use lordmsyk's equation.

    With 1200 armor, you would only get 80% reduction, only a 14% increase. In the other hand, you can add vitality, which would more than double your health pool

     

    it's not entirely true that the returns are diminishing. if you max out your armor with steelfiber you're at roughly 80% damage mitigation which equals in 5 times the effective health. using a maxed warcry increases your armor by 114,5%, buffing it up to around 2,7k iirc, granting effective mitigation around 90%. while this is only 10% for 1,5k points in armor, your effective health doubles due to the way armor scales. that's interesting because valkyr is currently the only frame that reaches armor high enough to be surpass the gap where it might feel like diminishing returns.

    compare rhino primes speed with vanguard unmodded with lokis speed unmodded

    compare rhino primes shield/health/armor unmodded with lokis shield/health/armor unmodded

     

    start using your brain, it won't hurt, trust me

  3. Let me tell you reasons why Loki is better than Rhino by community:

     

    1. He has lowest stats of all frames. Meaning that he has highest Risk VS Reward gameplay even with the perma invis you are still vulnerable.

    2. Run speed makes it easy to other frames let the Loki take the tasks what are far away and not requiring defending.

    3. Radial disarm. :D Troll and tool

    4. All the trolls with the Switch Teleport.

    5. Scout job.

     

    Reasons why Rhino shouldn't have the speed buffs:

     

    1. As a tank you are SUPPOSED TO STAY WITH YOUR GOD DAMN TEAM!

    2. You have highest health and damage & CC protection ability.

    3. You can lock down enemies to stasis for a long time.

    4. Roar increases damage output and armor so be with your team and don't rush.

    5. LOWEST RISK VS REWARD FRAME.

    6. HE IS BY FAR EASIEST WARFRAME TO LEVEL UP AND PLAY AS. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

     

    There I think this should fill you all why Loki is supposed to be the fastest.

     

    A proper tank should be enganging to play with a high risk/reward ration, the tank is tanking the hits for the entire team and there are ways to make this an incredibly skill-dependent task, unfortunatly rhino isn't made like that

     

    Zephyr's base speed is faster than Loki's, isn't it? And of course tailwind lets her zoom around the map faster than zorencopters if she's properly modded.

     

    loki's sprint speed is 1.25, zephyrs is 1.2 iirc

     

    I wish I had a downvote button for both your post and his post. I mean, it's pretty clear neither of you have actually played a non-vanguard Rhino. While in theory slow speed should make up for the advantages he gets, it doesn't. It vastly overshadows them because in actual gameplay, what actually happens is your team rushes on ahead and leaves you in the dust without any enemies to kill. Your team, meanwhile, is waiting at extraction for your slow rhino to huff and puff his way there.

    I've mained Rhino since I started playing the game. I mained him before vanguard helmet came out, so I'm in a good position to know what it's like. And what it's like simply wasn't fun unless soloing because he's too slow.

    Frost only gets away with being slow because his niche is defending a stationary pod and he could do with a speed boost too. Saryn, the other sub-1.0 speed frame has her own alt helmet to counteract that.

     

    you know, it's not the fact that rhino can keep up but rather the fact that he is faster than anything except loki. nerfing vanguard down to 15% or rhino primes sprint speed to 0.9 would bring him in line with frames like nyx/nekros/ash (i would buff rhinos speed to 1 along with saryn/frost and nerf vanguard to 15%, would benefit players w/o vanguard) . it's not that anyone wants to take your fun away (at least not me), it's just the point that rhino prime is too fast right now.

  4. I just ran a quick calc for the Gorgon Wraith. 

     

    Not counting crits, I can get it up to 17.5k DPS. with a 62.7% chance to proc Corrosive with each shot.

    17.5k DPS is pretty bloody respectablein my opinion, and that isn't even the max it can reach.

  5. i was just playing nekros when i had an idea: what if desecrate would be affected by power strength? the chance for an orb is 60% right now, imagine it were 100%. killing mobs would feed you with orbs and energy to kill more mobs. buff his energy up to 150 like the other casters and he would be way better than he is already, without redesigning the ability

  6. viral no longer stacks, so is drastically less effective and its currently a lackluster elemental

     

    corrosive is an extremely handy proc yes but still useless on non armored units and is still less effective than radiation against alloy armor

     

    however corrosive becomes better than radiation after 10 or so procs, but keep in mind that only really applies to level 60+ heavies

    basically this. won't be that inbalanced

  7. I play high level content almost to a exclusion. I can survive far longer with the three frames I have mentioned in ANY level of game play, The best form of durability is not getting hit at all. 

     

    I am possibly wrong about Roar, Im working under the impression that its hard capped at 50% like it was when it was introduced. Shows you how long its been since ive used it.

     

    Want to know what I use my Rhino for? The only thing hes worth doing, leveling weapons on ceres solo.

    see, i'm not even desperate for making rhino slow, but as it stands he's either overkill or to weak, having him at ashs level when it comes to speed is okay, but when you got as much highlevel expierience as you claim you would know that a few stray shots kill loki easily and therefore he needs to stay the fastest frame for now. rhino needs to be changed to scale into higher levels while he looses some of his supposedly "OP-ness" on lower levels.

  8. The most durable frame is Loki, then ash, then frost. Rhino comes in at distant 4th.

    Nova has a higher damage buff (in the form of a debuff), Banshee also has a far greater damage buff/debuff.

     

    So, yea.You may wanna rethink some things.

     

    loki is good at avoiding damage, same goes for ash, but loki is not durable, if you've ever played longer survival runs versus grineer you'd know that napalms can be a pain in the &#!. rhinos roar caps at 115% extradmg for everyone affected, outclassing novas 100% damage buff. banshees damage buff is situational and does not work well with explosives and aoe abilities

     

    so, yea. you might wanna rethink some things.

    When I first got my Rhino, all I ever saw was the backs of everyone as they ran off into the distance.

    that's the price you pay for taking the most durable frame with the best direct damage buff and a very useful cc skill. they should change the vanguard helmet to give another stat (buffed stamina or stamina regeneration probably) and should buff rhino up to 1.0 sprintspeed, i mean frames like ember/mag/excalibur/volt are at 1.0 too and they're squishier.

    Reading through it, still not changing the fact that a solo'ing Trinity runs into energy issues. :)

    you don't run into energy issues, maybe 1-2 times in 1 hour solo survival, and then again you can use an energy restore.

    it's a well known exploit but the target cap at a time is 3, using penta you can kill 3 targets per second. also the damage falls off faster than you might think, you should try it yourself before asking for a nerf, there are things that need more attention, so fixing trinity right now when aoe abilities are still ridiculously strong up to level 40 (basically starchart+the whole void except def/survival) would only make her less comfortable to play. your point however is valid, everyone arguing against it is just fearing the nerfhammer for their favorite frame.

  11. Vanguards speed comes with a price, lower power strength

     

    5% for 25% sprint speed, would take it on many frames

     

    Zeph's actually a lot faster than he is though (being faster than Loki at base and having tailwind to zoom around faster than zorencopters).

     

    loki is at 1.25 basesprintspeed, rhino prime is on par with the vanguard helmet, and that's a no go... rhino got more then double the amount of effective hit points, iron skin, a damage buff which surpasses the stealth multiplier on invisibility and a pretty good cc. i'm not even mad that the regular rhino is really fast with the vanguard helmet (about on par with ash), but rhino prime is just overkill. tone down the vanguard helmet or rhino prime himself, i'm not against fast rhinos but making him on par with the fastest and squishiest (is that even a word?) frame in the game is a horrible decision.

  12. i bought the inferno pack but i couldn't care less if some1 can buy the syandana/extractor and the 90 day boosts for 45ish €, just like the current exclusives-only pack. i woudn't even mind it if you could buy the misa ingame for like 1k plat (for the players who really can't afford platinum) but i guess i'm a minority when it comes to releasing shiny cool stuff to the public

  13. honestly, if they release a new faction, and said faction is the only strong faction (probably the sentients? who knows) with the 3 currently available factions staying the same i would be okay with it, i mean it's consistent with the lore that we're steamrolling corpus, grineer and infested, and the sentients, the reason why the tenno were created, would be a perfect faction to implement for harder endgame content.

  14. I love the new traps, (even though it makes the greneer seem more advanced then the corpus) i kinda think you guys are overreacting to the lightning traps. 

    the grineer are more advanced, their units are tougher and their weapons stronger, they just don't waste time on fancy stuff or overcomplicated inefficient orokin technology they don't understand anyways

  15. we need a game mode where you can fail even when you're using your maxed gear... creating mods  for a difficulty that isn't even provided in any mission except defence/survival is a bad move. we need missions that need more than a trinity or a loki, we need mobs with debuffs/dispel like abilities, immunity to CC (at least to some kinds of cc) and overall smarter mobs, and these would have to start at least at level 60+ in extermination missions. zanuka and the hyena pack are a step in the right direction but DE needs to create regular enemies behaving like them. make it another game mode with the regular startchart, probably add increased droprates for cores or ressources
