  1. try medium health restores, you can build them with polymer bundles and nano spores and they're healing 100 health on deployment and 300 health distributed evenly over 3 ticks. they can save your life and sustain you though tough solo missions. when you're on your own better be prepared. also grab some energy and maybe even shield restores (yes... really) if you're unsure, better have them and don't need them than the other way around.

  2. How about this:

    EMP-Moa:

Heavily shielded support unit. These Moas project emp waves in 90° cones with a 30m length, jamming abilities, worsening accuracy of firearms and removing beneficial effects on Tenno. Removes malevolent effects on Corpus units within a 15m circle. They don't do damage by themselves and are fairly slow. They don't drain shields or energy, they merely deny usage of skills and remove them in their limited range. Magnetic procs disrupt their abilities.

-effect: forces players to flank them, attack from a position far away or take a risk and meele them, denies invisibility/iron skin/blessing/m. prime spam for example, makes corpus in general less susbectible to crowd control until it's dead

  3. all Veterans start out as rookies... but you have to work through it. You cant just jump to the end. well, you can, but it wont be pretty.

that's right, i'm not even arguing that, but right now you can only work through things to a certain point. you're basically excluded from viable status builds w/o these mods... and that's a bad thing, cause status procs are a major selling point of damage 2.0. it's more the overall situation that you just cannot obtain those mods w/o trading. i'm for making them available after the player passed the rookie-phase of the game, not for making them available right from the start.

  4. I am under the impression that new players have a lot more things to do and worry about than to get the latest and greatest new mod that comes out (that they wont have maxed or able to equip in the first place).

those latest and greatest mods need 7 modpoints when maxed and they're 3 rank mods and therefore easy to max. newer players would be able to max and equip them more than any damage increasing mod in the game. and it's not about the point that completely new players can't get them, it's more about the fact the anyone who started playing after the particular event that rewarded the mods is completely unable to get those mods sans trading. new players don't stay new forever, they improve, build new gear and ultimately hit the "it's your fault that you didn't even play while we handed mod X"-wall. it's artifically separating the community, and that's not a good thing.

  5. the sooner they're made available the better... newer players deserve a chance to get their hands on those powerful mods. the badges alone are a good reward, and the people who missed out the event will probably never get the gorgon wraith.

  6. Going there with a lvl 30 Rhino means either cashing it out or waiting 4-5 days before progressing further into the star-chart (1 extra day to include leveling the frame and farming the resources to build it).

I think the healthiest decision for the game would be to just abandon the star-chart and have all kind of tiers of missions on every tile-set, but maybe that's just me.

i'll give it a shot with a level 30 starter frame now... and i agree, the difficulty is too high for earth, especially helions and eviscerators are overkill for newer players.

  7.

    - lastly, the game is also supposed to be beaten solo. Interception is impossible to finish in solo mode, even with the best gear, let alone with the very weak gear like the mk1 braton you have at the time you get to Earth.

that's 100% wrong, you can beat interception solo

  8. Not this again, there is like 5-8 other similar threads complaining about the Rhino Helmet, just deal with it already instead of bringing up the same thing over and over again.

Its just like complaining about Loki and Trinity's helmet giving them duration. Also they are removing stat cosmetics so just chillax.

no1 is complaining about vanguard itself, most people who are complaining are complaining about rhino prime in conjunction with vanguard. have you seen threads about vanguard being op before they released rhino prime? no, cause even with vanguard rhino was still acceptable. and loki doesn't have a helmet that grants duration.

  9.  Now he can turn that weakness into a STRENGTH (reg rhino=fourth fastest, RhiPri= Tied for fastest).

why do you still bother? rhino fanboys don't want to understand that rhino with vanguard was fine but rhino prime with vanguard crossed the line

  10. The problem is that Rhino is both immortal AND not tough enough, depending what end of the level spectrum you look at. At low levels he is functionally immune to all enemy activity which is boring. And at high levels he is forced to rely heavily on his ult just to stay alive because iron skin ceases to be of any practical use when enemies chew through it almost as fast as you can cast it.

My suggestion to let iron skin function as a regulator on incoming damage lets it be relevant and useful at both ends of the spectrum without granting level-agnostic godmode...

your idea is good but as you can see most players don't like the idea of rhino loosing his godmode for everything except endless modes... which is a shame, cause your idea would allow rhino to fulfill his supposed role even in higher levels.

  11. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/199467-warframe-helmet-suggestion/

Thoughts on the matter would be rather helpful.

Each side can have what they want:

-If you want Helmets to be cosmetic, don't but a helmet mod into it.

-If you want the stats, either hunt for it, or use it.

    Just a thought.

suggested countless times before, would balance choice for every frame, you could keep your beloved fast rhino but ALSO have purely cosmetic helmets. and you could even have a fast nekros or a fast volt, ember with better power efficiency, banshee with an even stronger sonar... the customization would benefit everyone. but DE is deaf to that suggestion, for whatever reason. instead we're getting this half assed fix that divides the community more than founders or event exclusives ever did

  12. In the event DE decides we're both right, making it exclusive to older players is not the answer. In that scenario, everyone who is saying that stats should simply be a separate slot that act exactly the same as helmets without the helmet are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. This is one of those scenarios that makes literally everyone involved happy, because functionally nothing has changed.

i'll just quote that cause that's the way to go imo

  13. First, none of the frames are unviable in any content; you might not be able to solo a T3 survival to 2 hours with your ember, but that doesn't mean you can't use it.  It'll work perfectly fine against almost any content (though Frosts slow speed is annoying as hell, making it less fun to play.  Making other frames as slow won't make Frost more fun to play, just the others less fun to play.  Surely you see that?).

I'm talking about making frost faster, giving him the rhino treatment. along with the possibility to have +25% speed -5% powerstrength on EVERY frame, woulnd't hurt

Second, you should be arguing for improvements to the frames you like that are 'weaker' in your eyes, not weakening the items you don't want to play with so they're weaker than your chosen favorites.

see the above. making every set of helmet stats available for every frame would solve some issues

That's how the game will die, mediocrity, because nerfers can't handle their favorite thing not being the best at everything, so they have to whine to make everything else worse, rather than making the thing they like BETTER.

i'm not necessarily a nerfer, more like a balancer. equality of options even if the frames are different... want a fast rhino? there you go, take vanguard. want a fast frost? no problem, allow him to use the vangaurd stats too!

Next up, you'll start talking about 'power creep', as if that's an important thing in a game where you fight the AI and not other players.  Who cares if you're more powerful than the grineer lancer?  YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE.  If you want more of a challenge, argue for more challenging mission types and enemies and content, not weakening everything.

i've more than once stated that numbers are not a proper way to fix the lack of difficulty, we need smarter enemies with more possibilities to fight us. sure a tenno should beat the crap out of a grineer lancer, i agree on that. but the enemies need to pose a threat in groups to keep the game interesting, and to give us a reason why we're so powerful

Take a step back and look at what you're asking for, and ask if it increases player options or decreases them.  If it decreases them, you're actively asking to ruin the game.

i'm asking for equality between options for frames, and stats tied to helmets which are in turn tied to frames don't offer that. nerfing isn't always good but given the current difficulty it's better than buffing frames even more... but that's just my oppinion here
