  1. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in So I've finally unlocked Zenurik completely, What's next? was marked as the answer
Personally, i am a big Unairu fan. Its armour strip and shield strip aren't the best in the game, compared to some other tools, and I also personally tend to think armour stripping isn't as vital in most of the game, even Steel Path as some might, but there are certain single enemies that become way more convenient to face, if you do at least have one sort of armour strip available, like Steel Path Void Angels, Acolytes, so on. Means if you want, you don't have to care about armour stripping with the rest of your builds, if you are so inclined.
Along those lines though, I think your playstyle and preferences matter too. Like if you main a Warframe that already has an armour strip, Unairu's will be less relevant. That being said I also think Last Gasp is great, especially for longer Endurance runs, especially if you are solo, especially since a lot of new content like Netracells punishes death big time and won't allow normal self revives. Having the armour strip and shield strip will also allow that as well. The other waybound makes you pretty tanky as well.
Then again so are the Madurai Waybounds. In hindsight I might also not be the best person to answer, since I went pretty hard on all my focus schools, with lens (I played a lot of Disruption), Eidolons, and unlocked all my waybounds and focus schools nodes years and years ago. In general though I would say tailoring around your own play styles is a pretty good idea (if you are a big melee person, Naramon, if you want to have more offensive powers, especially some of your Operator tools, Madurai. Vazarin for some defensive healing options, Unairu for utility/defensiveness.
Good luck. Plus remember to check you are using your lens on your favourite Incarnons or nukes (Lens seem to have become pretty common rewards in a lot of newer content. I have like so many, but since I am maxed out, I have nothing to slot them in).
  2. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Was there any explanation about why it was necessary to make same console platform players be unable to trade unless they have matching cross save status? was marked as the answer
From my current understanding. Which is flawed in a few different ways, in that i do not watch every stream, and when I do occasionally watch, say a Dev Stream or Dev Short, I am usually multitasking and also quite tired. So not necessarily paying the attention, I think is needed. Also trading is not that important to be personally. I engage with it a little, but thats just another disclaimer as far as, why my understanding may be flawed, I might be misremembering details, so on.
I think thats enough disclaimers... I think I remember Rebecca implying it might only be temporary. Like a lot of various restricitions and issues around early cross save, like some that might apply to cross trading etc some would only be temporary. Some aren't temporary, and are very much permanent (like certain skins as far as cross save), but that with time, certain other issues that are or were current, might alter/change. I thought... certain cross trade restrictions may be one of them. Again though, my interpretation might be inaccurate. I only slightly remember DE Reb being asked this question and explaining it was temporary, and I can't remember what stream this was. I think it might have been one of the Dev Shorts (the 15 minute streams they started doing this year, thats usually weekly, since it seemed more informal than regular Dev Streams). That being said, I watch those as background noise, and its entirely possible, my attention lapsed and she was talking about something else related.
Hopefully someone with a more definitive understanding can give a more thorough answer.
  3. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in How many Decrees do you gather in "The Duviri Experience" Steel Path before starting the Bounty/Optional Undercrofts? was marked as the answer
Honestly depends on what my RNG and choices were, also what my general mood is. I actually quite enjoy Duviri, both the Drifter portions, the Warframe sections, the Orowyrm fight, etc so its also easy for me to get carried away myself. Can be as little as 10 to 12, to sometimes 50 to 60 (more on the low side now generally). In Steel Path, as soon as I start, I'll make a beeline towards the side quests that don't involve fighting, until I get a few melee beneficial Decrees. That way, when I get the more combat focused quests, they are much easier. Then I do whatever quests I come across that I enjoy, and it gets pretty easy to snowball. Then when I get bored I start doing the main quests to progress.
Like I said before, certain Warframes can make Orowyrm fight and the bonus portals really easy, even without many Decrees. Titania, Styanax (their abilities can hit the Orowrym weakspots, and do great damage), Mesa, Lavos, Citrine etc are great for bonus portals. If I get some weaker Warframes or weapons (which rarely happens for myself), I might stick around a bit longer to get enough Decrees, so I know it won't be in vain.
Perhaps you could keep track of how many Decrees you get, and then sort of guess if you could have completed it with less Decrees and then start putting the limit lower and telling yourself to fight the Orowrym at a certain amount. Changing when necessary.
I also should add, I myself take huge breaks from Duviri and the game in general. I am currently in one right now. Burn out can be a big issue, but Warframe will always be around (probably), so no need to rush either. Knowing that, makes it easier for me as far as avoiding burn out.
    Good luck!
  4. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Any non-guide way to effectively find Duviri Codex Fragments? was marked as the answer
Not really, beside from what you know already, as far as doing an exhaustive search... As already mentioned, they do glow, make a sound, and you can sort of develop a certain intuition for some. Like a lot tend to be in high places. So sometimes, if you are running or flying around, you can look at something up high and think... "I wonder..." and find one. Another potential tip of sorts, is that they are all numbered, plus have a letter assigned. They are also region based too, so if you visit Acrithis in your Zariman suite, the console that talks about each fragment, you could sort of see what areas are incomplete or complete, and then potentially use that to know what areas need more searching.
Also, depending on your intuition, and creativity, you may also have luck finding them, by thinking what places might be annoying or counter intuitive to check and find one... I have found some that way too, seeing something a bit odd and thinking "would be annoying trying to get there to put one... so someone probably put one there...".
I also ended up using a guide eventually anyway, because I was satisfied having found most of them, around 80% - 85%, maybe a bit more, and some were in areas, I doubt my eyes or ears would have registered, and I was getting more interested in reading the lore entries. There are some good guides out there, fortunately.
  5. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in one shot archrons ? doh! was marked as the answer
    Makes sense.
The Viral is mostly there for general use, elsewhere. Like say hypothetically you had a Riven that was Crit Chance, Crit Damage and Multishot, omitting the Cold Mod would be your best bet, leaving you with Radiation and Toxic. So as far as most effective? Would go Radiation, Cold, Viral. The progenitor doesn't matter too much, as long as you somehow end up with Radiation. Toxin is pretty decent, because its so versatile, even in the context of Archon Hunts, because there are other enemies around you will want at least kill for certain buffs from conditional sources (Galvanised Hell and Primary Deadhead most notably).
Technically you can one shot an Archon even without Eclipse or Roar (Void Strike is another option though too, for a bit raw damage increase), but they just increase your odds in favourable ways. Like that way, maybe you can actually afford to miss hitting all your pellets, maybe only 90% lands, but if that 90% has more raw power behind it, slight whiff doesn't matter as much. So honestly? Whatever you prefer from Roar or Eclipse, is fine going with that. Whatever you like or is more convenient.
You could try going with Incarnon weapons. Laetum, and Phenmor do decently, but I think Felarx is the most potent and consistent. Especially if you combine if it Xata's Whisper. Its been ages since I used that particular strategy, as I personally prefer using the Kuva Hek, but if I recall correctly, the Incarnons were generally more consistently effective and error free, and very very fast. Not as satisfying if you wanted to get a one shot, however... with the Kuva Hek, well, it wouldn't be as consistent, in the sense, you need more things to align well. Again, you need better aim/precision, timing, a good angle get really close, and maybe even get a bit lucky with your spread of pellets. All of that can be annoying and frustrating though, so I understand why many people prefer Felarx and other Incarnons over it. So yeah, you might like them more too! I am not as knowledgeable with every facet of using Incarnons against Archons. I have, but ages ago, so not really sure how to advise, and you already seem to know as much from what you wrote here.
    Good luck!
  6. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Nyx Prime noggle - Any other method to obtain, or regal aya exclusive? was marked as the answer
    Hello.
To my best understanding and knowledge, such Prime Noggles, are pretty much Regal Aya exclusive. Prior to Prime Resurgence and Regal Aya, you could only generally get them when purchasing Prime Access, including the Unvaulting of Primes and that rotation. Would usually come near the end of the year as a bonus.
With Regal Aya system, they changed it so you could get more specifically.
Occasionally they do give away Noggles in Alerts as Stream rewards/drops, but as far as I know and have seen, they are never Prime Noggle versions. However its possible I am wrong on that, but yeah.
Hope that helps. Plus it can be nice having some Regal Aya on hand generally, just for Prime Accessories that might catch your eye in the future. Its definitely generally cheaper to get Prime Noggles this way than the older way, which required you to get the entire Prime Access/Unvault (assuming you already had the other items through grinding or trading).
  7. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Any alternatives to Overframe that are kept updated? was marked as the answer
Not that I am aware of. Thing about Overframe is that, well its Community influenced. Its a bit like asking that the entire community be faster and better about keeping updated. Well that or you could potentially request the site have a feature to sort or select from date ranges, so you can see more recent input.
The other thing, at least how I see it, is if you are at the stage of Warframe, knowledge and experience, where something like Overframe is "too slow", or outpaced by updates, and new info... You probably know enough about the game, and its systems, mechanics, buffs, nerfs, to generally not need anything from Overframe, aside from pure curiosity about other peoples opinions. As in, you yourself are the better alternative, that can be up to date. Short of that, maybe the Wikia for more specific info (like they were updated pretty fast over Incarnon data, generally speaking) and then for more nuance and random info, the Forums maybe.
  8. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Do we know the acquisition of the new incarnon adapters ? (boar, gamm, etc) was marked as the answer
Echoes will/should be coming on the July 27th, same as Wisp Prime I believe. It was announced/revealed on a Friday Stream. I may have misheard Megan, but I am like... 90 percent sure.
As for OP, we don't know for certain yet, its to be determined/announced, presumably on release. Thats when we will find out methods of acquisition. Not to long to wait, assuming my above message is accurate.
  9. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Controller Players - how do you Void Sling through Angel Orbs? was marked as the answer
I basically just predict them and do the fast tap version through them. Everyone can be a bit different, so this may not be a good method for you unfortunately, but for myself, practice helped a lot. At first it was a bit tricky, especially since the orbs can move up and down depending on what the Void Angel is doing, but I really did find after a few to a dozen attempts, it became a lot easier.
One other possibly tip, is that you can chain your Void Slings too, and sometimes, depending on the Orb placement, it might actually be easier to Void Sling up, to be on a more even horizontal parallel to the Orbs, so you don't have to worry about angles as much.
Also at the stage I am at, a lot of this is just automatic, but I'll try and be more conscious the next time I do this, to see if there is anything else I might do. Also, perhaps try using the Void Sling more in normal missions, and just mess about and experiment? You can get more of an intuitive feel for distances and angles, without being in a high pressure situation, so you can sort of just practice enjoying the movement, and some of that may transfer to this task? I mean assuming you don't already do that, since you may, and there may be other factors creating difficulty.
Good luck either way though, and I will post later if I think of anything that might help.
  10. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Kuva hek for archon was marked as the answer
As long as Radiation is modded for, you should be fine regardless. One shots on Archons aren't guaranteed, Radiation is good, because they are weak to it. If you have a Toxin progenitor, you can still Mod for Radiation, and there are some good Shotgun elemental Mods to make Radiation. You have Primed Charged Shell and Blaze potentially. You put those two Mods on a Toxin Hek, you get get a Hek that can do mostly Radiation and some Toxin. Then if you want, you can also build it for Viral or Corrosive.
Mind you, if you go for a Radiation Hek, you can also mod it for those too. I mean, even with a Radiation Hek, you might still want to use Primed Charged Shell or Blaze anyway, on top. Its not like a Radiation Hek will always one shot an Archon, and a Radiation Hek with a little Toxin won't, bith have a similar capability to one shot. Just make sure you have good multeshot, damage, Crit damage, etc and aim for the head, and try make sure all the pellets land on the head. I think that latter part is more important as far as increased consistency in landing one shots.
I have two friends, identical builds, one of them rarely gets the one shot, just because his aim, and accuracy are a bit off, and thats okay, the other friend and myself, we consistently one shot more. I usually find one shotting easier in solo, because the Archon moves less erratically, plus I can time my shot better. In PUB I don't really care as much, a 3 shot is fine too, as long as we aren't standing around for 10 minutes, etc.
Basically feel comfortable taking any Progenitor, as long as you can Mod for Rad. Rad progenitor makes a lot of sense, since it can free up some mod slots, like say you have a Riven. Toxin is fine too, if you might want to use it elsewhere, plus there are good Shotgun elemental mods to make Rad.
Good luck and have fun too, one shotting Archons feels pretty fun, you might need a little practice though too. Its not like just using a Rad Kuva Hek will guarantee it every time.
  11. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in would this be legal? was marked as the answer
    Thats fine, however...
I can't stress this next part more. It actually has to be a friend, or actual other person. I mean this as a general statement, not accusing OP of anything, and I am emphasising this, because I have had friends, who have tried to do shady things online with alt accounts and they had this belief that if they just claimed it was their "brother or sibling or friend" well then they could fool anyone. Here I'll ask my best friend to confirm this is true.
"Hey, this is slightconfuzzled's best friend, notconfuzzled, I can definitely confirm what he says is true, and plus you know I am totally different and real person, because my favourite food is Steak, and his is Ice Cream, well, it used to be, now he doesn't really have a favourite, because he is trying to be healthy, but if you ask me, thats boring ha. Plus I use bold text, he uses plain."
Thanks buddy. Okay, now did you believe me?
Basically if your friend is authentic, even if they act unusual, there will be things that will make them seem distinct and independent of you, that can be checked. I have given a lot of "free" things to other people, but thats not unusual, so even if our trade is flagged for suspicious activities, would probably be easy to see, that its just someone with a lot of stuff just being friendly. If your friend is using a VPN and you both never play at the same time, and other weird coincidences, than that might raise suspicions.
In short, if you are being honest and I believe that you are, then its fine. Also you have a good friend if they are willing to do that for you. What if they end up liking Warframe though?
  12. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in please help, clueless new player: Duviri ending choice locks you out of gameplay systems? was marked as the answer
    Hello, welcome to the game.
Don't worry too much, you are not being locked out of content at all, its more of a temporary choice, to decide what you will be doing immediately next. Like if you chose to stay, you can play more Duviri, but if you leave, you can also return to Duviri. If you leave, you can start to explore the rest of the game, but if you stay, when you leave, you can also do that too.
Also I understand why you might feel apprehensive, confused or overwhelmed, because the emphasis on that choice actually feels way more serious and important than it actually is. I have played this game for years, done all the missions, yadda yadda, and even that question/decision made me pause. I had to quickly look up what it meant too lol.
Basically don't worry, just do what sounds more fun to you, you won't be permanently locked out of anything (Warframe rarely does anything like that, outside a few questions, but even then its not content you are locked out of). Good luck and hope you have fun!
  13. (PSN)slightconfuzzled's post in Recommeneded frames and builds for Steelpath was marked as the answer
What are your favourite Warframe and weapons? Odds are, they can probably do Steel Path, you might just have to revitalise the builds. For example, when I first did Steel Path, I struggled, but my modding knowledge wasn't as good as it could be, or as it is now, and my own style with how I play, is different as well. Often Steel Path is hard, not because of Warframe or weapon choices, but modding knowledge, dealing with enemy weaknesses, mission type requirements, and being able to plan your builds accordingly.
Personally, I tend to think its good to enjoy yourself as well as being effective, as sometimes, (but not always) being the most effective, can not be as enjoyable.
That all being said Warframes like Nezha, Rhino, Wukong, Nidus, Saryn, Mesa, Protea, Wisp are quite popular for Steel Path. Especially missions where you don't have to do much other than kill enemies. Capture, Extermination, Survival, etc Those Warframes in particular have a range of tankiness, survivability, and supporting options, like various buffs/debuffs that make them popular. They are also relatively easy to use. There are some other good options, like Zephyr, Mag, Vauban, Khora, Nyx, and Nova, that I personally really like, but to some players, they can seem a bit squishy. Usually there is a trick around them though, that helps them survive very well, like using your abilities well, or using movement and evasion, and also having a good energy economy. Those latter lot are also great on missions that may need CC, like Interception, Excavation, Mobile Defence. Places where its not necessary about killing enemies, but protecting something from them.
Weapon wise, well certain AOE's were the meta for some time and still pretty potent and popular. Kuva Zarr, Kuva Bramma. A pretty new and popular bunch of weapons are Incarnon weapons. If you like Pistols, the Laetum Incarnon weapon is very strong and fun, shotguns? Felarx Incarnon weapon, (though you will want to use its base form more), if you like Primary rifles? Phenmor is powerful and fun. As for other general Primaries? Phantasma Prime, Cedo, Tenet Arca Plasma, I would recommend. Secondaries, Epitaph, Kuva Nukor. Melee is more open ended, but I also have less personal experience with. Mostly because I stick to my own personal favourites too much to experiment. I really love the Stropha, Glaive Prime, Pennant (but chances are whatever your favs are will still be pretty good).
Good luck, welcome back and hope you have fun!
