    Forget the hype, because many of us have learned not to bother anymore as a lot of the things we get are just repeats of weapons, or some bug fixes. theres nothing really to be uber hyped about until the Sentients appear so we have something new to do.

  2. This post is pretty spot on. Limbo's new augment will make no sense since he could just recast the bubble anyways. (A limbo should ALWAYS have energy... there's no excuse not to have it.) Saryn's new augment is literally the same as modding your status melee for gas, except it lingers (which doesn't exactly... work in this game. Relying on enemies to walk into something that is not an objective, good luck with that). Honestly disappointed in both these new augments. Especially Limbo's. I mean he's my main frame and none of his augments really work well for him...

     

    Edit: depending on the size of the clouds, and if they stack/proc status on enemies that walk into them, it MIGHT be viable early-mid game. I wouldn't put my money on late game though, contagion's already a pretty bad skill in itself.

     

     

    I don't know man.. Think the explosive corpse augment for pvp but with pve clouds that's effected by duration(or at least I hope it is.. lol) and range.. Idk about you but that seems like a true augment.

    Don't forget the incoming tenno reinforcements! The past few weapons we received were pretty fun and awesome to look at. I'm anxious for more!

    Personally I'm itching to get my hands on that Saryn augment. DURATION SARYN BABY YEA.

  5. No. It's not pointless. There should never be an argument about the efficacy of one source of information offered to you over another. Having multiple points of information that you can reference is always better the more that there is.

     

    Juicing up the in-game codex more than it is.. in my opinion would be nice but very tedious and use a lot of developer bandwidth that would eventually take away from the game's development itself.. in my opinion. 

  6. This is very interesting to hear and I thank you guys on sharing your POV on the matter. I guess maybe I feel like this personally because I thought the bit of mystery is what gives something longevity and builds a sense of mystery and illusion when you don't know much more than the game itself and a shallow glimpse of its underworkings.

  7. I'm sorry. This has been sitting on my mind now for a little while, and I ask this with the best intentions without malice in my heart..

     

    Do you guys believe that some of the things that are revealed from the back-end workings of Warframe sort of... diminish the experience and verisimilitude of the Warframe universe sometimes?

     

    I don't mean when parkour 2.0 is being demo'd in devstreams, but things such as learning that Reb voices Lotus and Scott voices Vay Hek or learning that the void is going to be blown up and a large part of the reason revolves around issues with the player-base's gaming experience and longevity rather than something lore related.

     

    How do you feel about this, I'd love to hear your perspectives on the matter?

     

    This is not to scapegoat anyone for this occurrence, nor do I believe it is something "wrong", however I personally feel that sometimes additions to Warframe, while sometimes being cleverly implemented, has its value reduced or it's novelty worn out before either being fully realized and/or developed.

    You all realize its just a game right?

    No seriously, do you get that? That this doesn't determine the outcome of your life.. Its just a game. Relax and enjoy the rewards as you see fit. The fact that you can't control the event should be enough to make you stand down.

    That the game is free to install, not to play.

    Unless you want to play at a low level in low level gear with low level weapons or you have time to spend playing all day doing catalyst / reactor alerts etc to get what you need for free.

    Which excludes about 99 % of the playerbase.

    've heard before that there may be a steep climb from a being a new player to having some decently modded and leveled gear. That doesn't make it pay to play.

    As a general response to most replies here. I am happy to see that many agree.

    Personally, I want to see more constructive critism and solutions that come along. As a big fan of user experience and user interface design I am eager to see them pop up.

    This debate defines what Warframe is to you as the player.

    Each response gives us a sliver of perspective and that's what makes it such a sensitive, large and delicate conversation. My biggest hope is that people will put on their big boy breeches and come put their best foot forward in helping to make this change/addition one of the best to Warframe in a long time.

  11. So, yes, this means this IS a reponse to every thread out there who's perspective on the discussion revolves around things like "loosing freedom" and RNG

    I'd like to point out some facts that I believe are important to keep in mind when voicing your opinions on the matter.

    1. You're going to play anyway.

    I don't mean this with ill intent or a way to deflate legitimate feelings. I just meant that the population of Warframe will not take a large hit to its player base. Those arguing this point are partially fear mongering to greater get their point across. The reason it won't and you're going to play anyway is because Warframe is a game heavily focused on milestone progression and the majority of player base will want to part of whatever he experience is introduced.

    How long the novelty hangs around and the sustainability of the design-well,sustains.. Is questions we can not answer until more information becomes available and ideas stop being ideas and become fleshed out.

    We've seen this behavior with every "bad" event that has been released. We see it every two weeks when we wait for baro to arrive. We saw it in the info graphics of community data gathered when we learned what was being uses the most among warframes and weapons. We saw it with pvpchanges. And we see it now. Amongst lots of other things.

    Hopefully debunks the game death predictions that are popping up everywhere.

    2. A big problem is this weird trust issue dilemma the community is starting to form for DE.

    I'm not talking about the fact that people are giving their opinions on implementations or changes. I'm talking about the players of the community who fear-monger, and throw DE under the bus at every occasion to express dissatisfaction with part of the game. I'm done, and I'm sure others are as well, pointing out the childishness of people who can't express disdain without throwing a tantrum and attacking anyone they can put in front of their pointing finger, personally.

    At this point its beating a dead horse and needs to just be changed, however many do need to understand that this is harming opportunity to use this invitation to communicate clearly with our devs. I know that reb will sift through many places to find the metaphorical gold nuggets that our community will produce to add to this big conversation. Involving a big change. That's part of her job, however to every thread offering nothing but anger-filled, ill-informed and gun-jumping language. Nothing gets across. Its counterproductive. That's a concern to me because this is one of the largest changes to the game that we're all part off. We need all hands on deck.

    Those are two points I understand to be facts of the Warframe community. Also things to be kept in mind while participating in this grand discussion.

    I'm interested to hear your points on the matters revolving around conversation with those points in mind.

  12. I just hope they dont stop with only 4 augments for each frame.

     

    I agree with this. Augments seem to be a system with very hefty potential. I'd offer great variety to playstyle and we're only about 1 and a half rounds away from every frame having 4 augments, it can only hope for more.

  13. I'd like to generate a little convo on augments.

     

    The first time what the word augment meant was from playing Fable many moons ago. The reason I'm mentioning this is because personally (IDK if other people experience this) when I learn new terminology or a new word the context of the first sighting sticks in my mind.

     

    Whenever I think of the word augment the mild satisfaction of watching the flames run down my sword.

     

    Warframe is the only game that I have played since that has directly used the word "augment" and I have been super intrigued by them since their addition to the game. 

     

    Aside the obvious expectations set for augments I always thought that it would be the opportunity for very weird and new mechanics to be introduced to both Warframes and Weapons.

     

    What do you guys think would be some cool and very weird augments that could be introduced to the game?

     

    Think out of the box.

     

    Think: Torid with a mini Vauban vortex for each gas cloud, or Silva & Aegis turning the energy sword into an energy spear instead.
