  1. Shotguns appear to do very poorly in high latency games.

Consider hosting games or going solo.

It is the same when I host games or go solo.... the damage IS high, I one-shot many high level mobs.... still, the dmg is not displayed correctly, neither on contact of the shot, nor in the mission debriefing...

  2. When I started with the strun shotgun, I saw the dmg of all pellets.

When we fought Kril, I noticed only the dmg numbers of 2 pellets. I thought this must be something special from the boss. So I used my underleveled pistol which did a lot better in the numbers shown.

Then in other missions, I noticed it, too. I only see the dmg of 1 or 2 pellets, very rarely I see the dmg of all pellets. But I run around and one-shot most mobs, so the dmg must certainly counter from all pellets.

In the end screen, when your dmg in comparison to the other players is shown, I am always very far behind in percentage. The last mission I played today, a buddy of mine took a new warframe, a new 2-hand weapon and another buddy I lured into this game did not even have mods on his weapons (because he started the game a few minutes ago). We did a high-level alert with lvl 25 grineer, I still one-shotted most of them. Still, at the end I was close to be tied with my freshly started buddy.

So I want to ask all shotgun users... did you notice the same? Or am I bugged somehow?

I use a strun with +dmg, +electric dmg, +fire dmg, +fire rate, +multishot... all on a quite high level. Forgot about the other mods.

  3. Ugh. I'm sick and tired of all the bugs and chat AND server issues this game has. U have an excellent point. U would think for opne beta at leat the servers and things like chat should work properly but this game has become just a hunt for the next error you'll get.

This is not the attitude we like to see here....

    1. it is a beta

    2. it is a small developers team, no mainstream big company involved

    3. it is a surprise success which made it to the front of steam

So, it is no big deal... serverload is way too high, this is my guess. They should get some additional hardware and disable new signups for the game atm till they can deal with the load.

  4. When you start a session with your friends and it starts to countdown, there should be a solution to stop the countdown.

Often my friends tell me "I still need to fusion, upgrade etc." and they cannot do this because I cannot stop teh countdown without leaving the session.

  5. got team heal as login reward and server is down :P

Game is kinda over atm, no log in possible most of the time and even when you get in, the game is unresponsive and kicks you after a few minutes. Even game progress is not saved sometimes.

I guess that too many peeps are playing this game now?

  6. Because you allowed me to participate in an open beta, I would like to give back some feedback. Most of the stuff you might already know, but I will state it anyway for a compiled list. If other Tennos could add to this thread, it would be great.

    1. generally speaking

Warframe is a delightful experience, which was good at the beginning because of the Coop aspect and really blew me away when I started to see the depth of this game. The gameplay is amazing, but some movements like jumping and wallrunning feel a little clunky.

In the Meta, you always have something to do.... getting credits, levelling up mods, farm blueprints, do alerts... it is fantastic and never makes the game feel like a grind, at least in the first 50 hours.

    2. Tutorial

I guess you already know it, but your tutorial is rudimentary at best. There is little to no info about the fusion system and many aspects and tooltips are outdated or plain wrong. Especially the fusion system needs a bit of explanation, since it makes this game stand out from the crowd and has never been seen before (at least by me).

Facts like that the crit% only helps the base crit chance should be mentioned in bold letters somewhere, because it is misleading.

    3. balancing

The balancing is way off and needs rework. Not the balancing of the Warframes though, they all feel unique and they all are fun. But the prices and drop rates feel really off (though you seem to work the drop rates right now, kudos). 75 plat for a colorpalette? 225 plat for a weapon?

League of legends has shown us that if you have a lot of stuff at lower prices, this can make quite a lot of money.

I know a lot of guys who love your game, but just don't want to shell out 10€ for a weapon.

On the other hand, all in stuff in the game really feels unique and plays out in other ways.

    4. Difficulty

The difficulty is nice, but I have not reached the dangerous areas yet. But you could easily make a very high difficulty setting which really needs whole groups that work well with each other and offer better rewards, just to make a challenge for the crowd who have awesome gear.

    5. handling and UI

Ok, this leaves much to desire... the UI could show my armor clip status near the middle, map, health, shields, all could be in one place. In the game, fusion is a pain. I have to de-equip the mod, search for the mod between all mods (who should be sortable by weapon and warframe and stuff like this, too). When I have finally found the mod that I want to fusion, I have to find something to fusion with, when I forget to hit the fusion button, I have to do it all over again. It would be so much easier if I had a fusion button directly near the equipped mod, could click it and filter if I want to fusion the mod with the symbol, rarity or with a core.

There is a lot more, but this really makes the game feel a bit unprofessionable.

I will use this thread for my constructive feedback when I have something to say. So far, I really love this game. If I could bet money on this, I would bet that Warframe will be a great success. It just feels like you lack a bit manpower at the moment.

  7. Nah it turns into a "God I wish I could get a refund" when the devs change the game for the worse instead of the better.

For me a game worth playing is a game worth paying. So I invested dozens of hours in this game and I am more than happy to buy a founders pack for it ( which I did ). I don't play the game for the mod drops, but for the shooting action. The shooting is great and the rest will be figured out in time.

The Devs in this game listen to their community and change things for the good, so I am confident. Just the prices are a bit high. But I guess this will change sooner or later, too.
