    Just wished you'd announce this sooner.  I scrapped all my 3 vidar mk3 reactors on Monday (micro-managing 'cos 30 slots) since they were all crap values and now I can't seem to farm even one... 😞

    I don't suppose you have any consideration for folks like me?!

    OMG, I feel for you.  I can't image running that many veil mission and be disappointed each time.

    But like you the only vidar mk3 reactors I got gave me 39, 58 and 59 avionics cap after many runs too.  The lavan mk3 reactor I got a couple of nights before gave me 63, so that's the highest I've got since RJ dropped on PS4.

    Some of my clan/alliance mates got 80+/90+ on their first or second vidar reactor so go figure!

    Our next patch should give us a 4% vidar/lavan reactor drop rates but even that won't fixed the broken mess of bulls#it that is reactor stat rng.  DE once and for all, can you please fix this or allow some sort of reactor capacity upgrade increase through honest play?  From the grind that Stealth_Cobra already endured, I say he deserves a 100 cap vidar reactor!

    Nope, PS4 and XBox has been stuck at 27.0.5 since it launched before Christmas.  We never even got the small fixes and resource buffs for PC before DE went on holiday.

    The porting and cert process is what holds consoles back.  While I try to be patient, it's hard not to complain since DE knowingly gave us a poor build with no hope of fixes until way after the holidays. In no other commercial software world would this have been condoned. It's DE and it's only a game I guess...

  4. You know who I pity?  The poor Switch folks who will be getting 27.0.5 soon.  Welcome to the console bugfest, low drop rates and low resource party!  We've been 'celebrating' this since Christmas!

    On the bright side, stealth farm and stock up on intrinsics and rush repair drones and glitch spawn ins as much as you can.

    I finally got my Particle Ram from an Elite Exo Flak a few days ago. The wikia says they only drop from this or the Kosma Taktis on Earth.

    I was farming intrinsics then. After glitch spawning and blinking to the galleon in Flexa, the Elite Exo Flak usually spawns near the galleon so I'd kill them to see if they drop particle ram before heading inside to begin 'Space Adaro'. Finally one of the did so I had to complete the mission to keep it.

    Now if I can only get a Vidar Reactor... and then, with a decent avionics cap... (*shakes fists*). 

  7. Yeah, frustrating annoying bug.  It seems to me that the bonus intrinsic earned after mission ends is not added at all after you return to dock.  You only get what was earned during the mission.  Grrr....

    I also noticed during squad play when you are NOT the host and it's not your railjack, that returning to obiter pulls up the mission reward screen.  The host will see the mission reward screen when his ship returns to the dock but the client doesn't until his return to orbiter.

    Hence for those farming intrinsics, it's better to kill fighters quickly and then abort, since you don't get the bonus from completing the mission anyway.

     

  8. This workaround I used has worked for me pretty reliably.

    When there are no longer any crewships around, assuming you also have a base asteroid objective or sentient ship, just enter it, wait for Cephalon Cy to say a crewship has spawn, then exit the base.  A new crewship will be there for you.  Rinse and repeat if needed.  Doesn't matter if the base objective has been completed or not. Just entering and exiting it will trigger a crewship spawn.

    I've tried this solo and with 1 other friend in squad.

  9. For 2019, I feel like console releases have been mis-managed and poorly executed.

    A few come to mind:

    1. Console had to wait 2 months(?) for the Old Blood (Liches), but they could've released the Arbitration changes first (like on PC) and allow us to use that time to farm the new arcanes, mods, etc, but no, they stubbornly wanted to include it with the Old Blood.
    2. The first Old Blood release didn't include the back-to-back weapon duplicates and trading. If they had waited only 1 more week, they could've baked it in. While they did release that fix I think 2 weeks later, it still left a sour taste.
    3. For Empyrean, it was either release before holidays or in 2020. Either way, console player will complain. They released it early, but couldn't get the latest patches in so we're stuck with poor resource bonuses and no avionics trading, and no apologies... Personally, I would've waited 'till 2020 to include the trading and resource changes.

    Yeah, I know PC is their main development platform.  For 2020, I hope someone thinks things through properly before deciding on console releases.  With PS5 and XBox Series X coming in late 2020, the console spotlight will be more intense.  Don't let us down DE.  I can only handle/forgive so much more...

  10. There is a 'workaround I found for this that will cause a crewship to spawn.

    When you have no more crewships left, just re-enter and leave the Sentient ship or any other asteroid base objective.

    Once you enter the objective, you will hear Cephalon Cy say a crewship has spawn, so just leave and the crewship will be appear.  Destroy the crewship then rinse and repeat as necessary.

    Let's hope DE hears of this and fix it in the next update.

  11. Joining pugs for leveling up stuff at Hydron is usually fine. Very little drama there.

    Personally, I solo whenever possible. This allows me to do whatever I want at my own timing, or pause (shakes fist at open worlds area) and take a coffee break, etc.

    While I did somewhat enjoy the trials/raid days with good friends, the time taken to form a group, then waiting for everyone to get ready (hang on, 4 more waves of defense...), or people changing their minds last minute and having to find another, unexpected interruptions, etc becomes tiresome after a while.  Also, friends come and go and you need to maintain an active clan/friends list if you want to continue to coop. Just like real life I guess.

    I'm glad to be able to solo railjack for now and am making the most of it while I can because you know DE will nerf the heck out of it. Don't know about the promised 'Command' intrinsic and how effective it'll be, but I feel railjack coop is currently only heavily designed for friends coop with mics needed.

  12. That's the sad consequence of doing public missions.

    The counter argument is to get your own friends, clanmmates, alliancemates, etc. Yes that works to a certain extent and involves some prep work on your end, and probably lots of waiting while others get ready. Back in the raids/trials days, that's the one thing I hated most. Sure, I've made some good friends then but the hassle of always having to form a group, set a time of day play sometimes, wait for everyone to get ready, talk when I didn't feel like talking, etc gets tiresome after a while.

    Hence I solo as much as I can now and can't wait for the command intrinsic next year.

    Sure, co-op experience is fun and DE seems to constantly want to push that, but as with all things, there's always a dark side.  If DE can find that sweet balance that can satisfy both sides, they'll win more praise and support.

    Fact is - if you do not refine your looted resources, they will NOT go to your or your squads´ inventory.

    You need to refine before going back to your dojo or all the gathered random resources are lost. Except very few exceptions. And you can see this clearly - if you go back without refining, you will have 2 or 3 items in your mission summary. If you DO refine, you got a long list of random stuff.

    No one likes the refining mechanic and no one actually knows why they made it this way - and I am pretty sure they will scrap it soon. But as of today - you need to manually refine.

    PS: The "purpose" of refining is, that you, as a squad member, can decide any time, that you now want your share of the loot. And that you don´t want your share of the loot to be used for crafted ship materials, like repair juice, ammo etc.

    You CAN refine any time during a mission, but you will at this very moment empty the resource cache of the ship and contribute all gathered resources to the team. Often rendering the ship with not resources to continue. Which is - obviously - a totally dumb idea in the first place.

    I checked again today after playing a few missions solo (only played solo so far).  After completing the mission (but not returning to dry dock yet), when I pull up the menu and 'View current progress', I can see that I have the resources I picked up.  When I use the Forge and hit Refine, I get new resource notifications on the bottom left as if you had just picked it up.  Then checking my 'View current progress', I see that I now have more of those resources.

    Is it possible that when you pick up resources during a mission, a fraction of it goes into the Forge?  This would allow crew members to build revolite, etc during the actual mission.  When you click 'refine', you can claim all back (for solo or for the squad).  If the latter is true, shouldn't the 'Refine" button be renamed as 'Claim' or 'Claim from ship' or 'Return resources to squad'?

    You can refine materials at the FORGE. The forge is located at the very bottom, very end of the ship. You have 4 forge nodes there, each with a cooldown once activated.

    So go back, down, back, down.

    Once you are plugged into the forge, you see a "Refine" button at the top, over the crafting options.

    I'm not quite understanding.

    I played my first few railjack missions last night solo only for the first time and went back to the dry dock each time without refining.  I never bothered looking at my mission results screen closely but I'd assumed the 14 titanium, 34 pustrels, etc that I picked up for each mission was granted to me (gosh I need to check when I get home later). So you're saying I lost them because I didn't refine them?

    Also, I don't understand the purpose of refining. Why do you need to refine when you already have the resources? What does refining do actually?!

  15. I would be interested to know too.  Specifically these questions:

    1. Since my PSN id will be the same, does this mean that when I play on either PS4 or PS5, it'll be the same account on DE's servers?

    2. How will trophies/achievements work across the new consoles.  Will there be a new Warframe trophy list on PS5 or will it be only this one list cumulatively shared between PS4 and PS5?

    3. The current login page on the Mobile App and warframe.com says 'PS4'.  Will it now also show PS5?  Or just a common 'PlayStation login' instead?

    4 How will my forum id show up?  Currently it says '(PS4)vinster'.  Will it change to '(PS5)vinster'?

    5 Will the Warframe PS4 anniversary coincide with the Warframe PS5 anniversary?  Can we have 2 anniversaries with even more goodies?! 🙂

    6. Will you take advantage of the PS5's Dualshock haptic feedback and new trigger pressure feature?  If so, how?

    7. During in-game missions, how will we know if our squad members are playing on PS4 or PS5?

    8. Do the DE console teams already have the dev kit version for development?  If not when are they expecting them?

    9. How long will you continue to support PS4 Warframe after PS5 version is released?  Will both have the same cert process and released at the same time?

    10.  Will the PS4@4 stream with Danielle now become the PS5@5 stream?  Or does Danielle need to clone herself?!

     

    If DE can answer them all before the year is out, I promise to buy every Prime Access pack in 2020! 😄

  16. I believe that the epic space battle concept was part of DE Steve's original dream with Warframe when it launched.

    This sounds like his vision come to life after many years of work and it looks like the entire team at DE went along with this even though it sounds like a majority of the player base prefer the traditional ground combat shooter mechanic.

    The hint that this is not as popular should have come from Archwing. While still alive and works, is never a preferred game mode amongst players.  Why DE decided to still push Empyrean through remains a mystery to me.  My guess is they committed to this at TennoCon 2017/2018 and to backtrack would admit a mistake and wasted investment in dev effort.

    I dunno.  Whether they have gone too far with this remains to be seen.

  17. I hope this is not the 'special announcement' that Rebecca will be making at the games award on Thurs.

    If WF does make it to Stadia, one thing I know definitely is that they need to re-do the Grineer hacking mini-game.  It has more input-lag sensitiveness than rivens/lich RNG combined. 🙂

  18. It's not only the cost of the 5 formas, but the mindless grind to rank up to 30 each time (even via Hydron, ESO, etc).

    I can understand doing it on Paracesis as a one-off concept, but for 13 weapons? But wait, there's more, DE has said Infested and Corpus will have their lich weapons in the 'distant' future too.  😞

    Yes, the completionist in me may finally be put to rest in this update. The longer this game goes on, it seems they need to find more ways to prolong the grind too. Yeah, yeah, it's free-to-play, yada, yada, but there're some lines you shouldn't cross and DE is pushing that too much.

    When they first showed off liches and announced that Kuva weapons won't have MR, I thought hey, I'm gonna really enjoy this content. But when they changed their minds, I thought, ugh, well now I'm gonna have to get all those weapons.  Then when it was known that 5 formas were needed for full MR, I think I just broke down mentally and shook my head.

    Some decisions are bad, but then there's this...
