they can always add it in a few days later. I think they just wanted to get it out now so that we actually have something to do.

That's the problem though, I highly doubt it will be a few days later.

If DE had waited another week, console with 26.0.7 could be sent to cert next week instead of this week's 26.0.6.

However now, we'll get 24.0.6 (prob next Tues or tomorrow).  Then we may need to wait until probably after Thanksgiving for 26.0.7 console build, then another week more for cert.  While in the meantime, a new flood of grind complaints from console players will ensue which could've been avoided with just another week's wait...

  2. Regardless of whether one will enjoy the content and associated grind, OP's sentiment seems somewhat valid judging by the "drama lamas' of posts thus far. If the content was done well, there would be fewer of them.

DE is in a bind wrt consoles. Because they did not release the arbs/Gauss changes in the interim, there really was nothing else to do for seasoned players.

So now they have to release Old Blood in the unfinished state it is or else console players will complain more.

But in so doing, you can bet in the following days after console release, there will tons of similar posts complaining about the grind again. Did DE think this through?  Or are they not bothered and willing to take the heat until fixes eventually get released on consoles months later?

    Time will tell...

  3. Yeah, this has been brought up a few times now and still upsets me (see appended related thread).

Seeing the backlash from PC's Old Blood, it looks like DE may be spending yet more time for hotfixes to PC, which means consoles get further delayed.

Consoles really should have had that interim Arbs/Gauss changes.  That would've allowed us to farm the new Arbs rewards and like you said, more vitus essense.

DE never really explained why they wanted to bundle Arbs/Gauss changes with Old Blood.  They just said they would, I'm assuming because they thought Old Blood was imminent then.

  4. On a related note, if I've already used up the 2 genetic imprints that my existing kavats had, does this mean I need to make 2 new Kavats so that I have imprints that can be made when each one is bitten?

Or even if you had used up the 2 imprints, do you have an option to create a 3rd imprint once your kavat has been bitten by the feral Vasca?

  5. Fully agree with OP.

I know DE is all hands on deck now for PC's Old Blood update (including the console programmers at DE?), but the Arbitration changes are quite significant in terms of rotations and rewards and leaving it in the old state on console for so long is unforgivable.  I can't even farm for the new arbs arcanes in the meantime. 😞

I'm in no position to say how hard this change alone is to port to console for an interim update, but it can't be that massive?!

Another reason not to put in together with Console's Old Blood update is the that the latter will be massive already and distilling arb changes into its own update and hotfixes will make the mainline update less buggy.

DE, it's still not too late to let consoles have the arb changes update.  Please listen to your us or at least give a reasonable explanation why this is not possible.

  6. Ditto.

Apart from un-equipping the aura mod, the only other way is to replace it another aura mod with a different polarity and see that it gets accepted (green bonus polarity).

My guess is DE will eventually do a QoL pass and find a way to show it as aura-forma'd. It's probably so so low on their priority list now that we probably won't see it for a long while.

  7. While I absolutely love passive audio and video streaming, game streaming just sounds like a bad idea, even with the advent of 5G and Wifi6 standards.

Top of my head that Grineer twitchy console hacking mini-game will perform horribly with even the slightest input lag.

Many people think that portability and playing anywhere and on any device via streaming is a good idea. I don't how many times on my business trips I've had to contend with sub-1Mbps wifi room speeds. Good luck with streaming on that bandwidth. At least with a physical PS4, one can still play solo on that bandwidth.

I also hope that Google has thought about customer support for Stadia. Can u imagine the number of support tickets complaining about broken or stuttering connection when it's not even Stadia's fault?!

On the plus side, having server based 'consoles/PC' does open up the possibility of massive multiplayer and better host connectivity.

Overall, I'm not touching Stadia in the least, regardless of how successful it may become or even if WF does eventually become available on it.  I want my next gen console or PC and it'll always be my precious. 😅

  8. Mine was broke too but in another way.

I was out on vacation from Aug 1 to Aug 12 (also missed Dog Days completely - "thanks" DE for these time limited events...), so lost a week of weeklies.

When I completed all current ones for this week, the "Do 5 OV bounties" and "Kill a Doma Tusk Thumper" and one other (I forgot), appeared as recovered uncompleted. So I proceeded and successfully completed them all.

After re-logging in a few hours later and checking my NW task list, none of the above recovered completed acts were on my list.  Instead I saw the following 3 'recovered' completed on my list: 3 captures, 8 rare mods and Kill 100 eximus.  What the hek is going on?!

Let's hope the next build will fix this or just do away with NW and steer clear of ANY time limited events?  Pretty please?!

Or, or, hear me out, or, get rid of Rivens.

Agreed too.  But sadly, this will never happen, even if hell freezes over...

I was half hoping one of the announcements at TennoCon 2019 would be to increase riven limit or maybe make good changes to it like fixed stats bucket values instead of random numbers to save database space, etc, but alas, no.

With the riven dispositions now happening every 3 months (yes yes, I know it was supposed to be like this from day 1), my love for rivens has dropped a lot.  I don't even bother to unveil new rivens now and just sell my veiled ones asap or dissolve them into sweet endo.

@(PS4)vinster, Steve mentioned in a tweet: Squad link will owrk on ANY mission.  So if you are doing a basic Survival and put the squad link, an extra objective will appear for your team to help.

So its not an exclusive thing to Fortuna or the Plains.

Yes, I was expecting that the squad link can be summoned from any other mission.

But how this is 'connecting' all the different islands of gameplay is tenuous at best. By summoning/inviting the other squad, that squad is now leaving their island and joining your railjack island to do a mission that will probably not drop stuff or help the progress that he needs on that other island.

Will completing the railjack mission help your progression or quest objectives in the other 'islands'? I doubt so.  My idea of 'connecting' is maybe something like I'm doing a long survival and I can summon a railjack squad who happens to be in the planet's vicinity. They'll then land on my tileset, help me out for say 5 mins and deploy extra oxygen towers or turrets, or use their railjack guns to mow down enemies, etc, then leave.

As someone else replied above, maybe there is a bigger picture that is not shared or realized yet.

  11. What bugs me about Empyrean was what Steve said at TennoCon about it. Before working up to the demo, he said that the open worlds and other content thus far were 'islands' where you'd go there and do your stuff that's only there, and Empyrean was supposed to be all about connecting. I still don't see where or what this 'connection' is supposed to be about!  Am I missing something?!

Railjack seems to me to be just another 'open world' in space (albeit a 32km x 32km one). Instead of spamming random invites, you can now spam them to your clan/alliance. How is that connecting? By summoning another squad (either fishing or in mission), I feel it is more 'disconnecting' them than otherwise.

I wasn't around during the Ash Prime drop of Tennocon past, how long did it take them to issue the frame back then? While I did get both drops, seems really weird a lot of people still haven't received them as of yet. Hopefully they will see how many still lack the drops tomorrow and do some form of compensation. (I did see the tweet where they mentioned all accounts should have the drops, but maybe with the amount of people still reporting they didn't they will give out the frame like they did with ash).

The thread linked here was the fix-it thread for last year's Ash Prime Twitch drop.

I was hoping with the constant twitch drops issues since it started, DE would just abandon the notion.  Well, now Mixer is in the mix!

Well, here's to next year's TennoCon flood of emails complaining about twitch drops again! (called it!).

  13. Interesting read it is.

Personally, I would rather Empyrean be a brand new Warframe 2 game instead of incorporating it into the current Warframe.

The demo at TennoCon seemed long and overly complicated.  I was watching via Twitch livestream then and didn't really hear any resounding claps or cheers for the demo.  Sure it looks cool and is something new. I was hoping some inkling of the rewards will be mentioned but alas no.  As a mainly solo player and helping friends now and then, this mode seems unfriendly to me right now.  Looks like raid/trials 2.0 and I already see clans and alliances trying to recruit or team-up to prepare for this.

I guess it's too early to tell.  Here's hoping DE can execute and deliver on this that proves me wrong.

  14. I echo some comments here: I am similarly mostly disappointed.

It seems bloated and overly complicated. I don't see how the team can get through all the objectives without constant headset communication (sometimes I just wanna play without headsets and constant typing). I think I read somewhere before it was supposed to be solo'eable.  But after seeing the gameplay, I don't see how that would be possible.

While the summoning clan/alliance for the lich takedown seems like a cool idea, wouldn't that be disruptive? What if I want to continue to fish and decline the summon? Will I be outed in the alliance or worst, in here forums?!

I know WF needs to expand into new directions to keep it going, but I don't get the right vibes about this, just like I didn't get the right vibes when Lunaro was launched a while back.   Perhaps I'm wrong and too soon to tell.

Also, I thought there was also going to be a reveal about what the big reward(s) was for completing railjack? Did I miss something?

  15. What gets me is the vertical video on youtube.  Grrr.... 😕

I'm wary of the DE hype train these days. While I'm hopeful with the upcoming TennoCon reveals, deep down, except for Empyrean/New War which were already announced at last year's TennoCon which should hopefully launch soon'ish, what they will reveal at this TennoCon will likely take another year or more before we can actually get our hands on it.

  16. With these months of data, can you please please please fix solo excavation power cell spawns, especially in Arbitrations, once and for all?!

With some map tilesets and spawn points, it is mind numbly frustrating during the 4th or 5th excavator sometimes to just sit there and twiddle my thumbs while waiting for the power cell enemy to spawn. 😕

Or can you just spawn the next excavator within 100m of the last one?  That way, the enemies can better track and follow you there quickly.

  17. On another note, can someone from console (PS4, XBOX1 or NSW) confirm that they have actually got either a Seeding Step or Blazing Step ephemera?

I haven't seen any posts to this effect and wondering if it's bugged in our current console build?

I'm so sick of the farming since I haven't got either of those drops yet and plan to wait for the next update if it is indeed a bugged drop.

  18. If the ephemeras were tradable, I could forgive the low drop chance.

Personally, I'm tired of doing my solo 12 round (24 waves) interception Arbitrations and seeing nothing but endo and sculptures.  For everyone that got it in 1 or 2 runs, it's people like us that have to now balance the math so that in the grand scheme of probability, it evens out. 😞

I feel that even the things trapped in the supermassive black hole Messier 87 have a better chance of escaping...

Further information to keep everyone in the loop:

We have tracked down the cause of the issue and are working on a fix. Our goal is to have this fix in the PC and Console Prime Vault Hotfixes tomorrow.

It's worth noting that you are receiving the 5000 Standing for Act success even though the UI states 'incomplete'.

Thanks for the update, Megan.  It doesn't replace the lost time I spent redoing this challenge 4 times and worrying over it, but I'll take what I get.

IMHO, ALL challenges need to be tested by the DE team and confirmed working/updated BEFORE being published live.  Please don't release future challenges by just updating a config file with challenge details, pretty please.
