    That’s some serious bull :poop:.

    100% agree.

I suppose we could've got 8x resources on Orb Vallis otherwise with a market booster.  Does DE see this as really a bad thing?

I know 4x is nothing to scoff at but I'm really tired of OV already and was looking forward to get some annoying fishing and mining out of the way this weekend so I never have to do these boring resource task ever again. 😕

So I killed an Eidolon and played the sortie with some "friends" (aka people that I friended for the mission cuz I have no friends that play this anymore), and the 2 weekly bounties  did not register for the NIGHTWAVE bounties.

    Has anyone had this issue?

Does one have to take down multiple Eidolons for its to take into effect?

Do I have to be friends for a certain amount of time before entering the sortie? (added them before)

If anyone else if having this issue, please comment below.

The Nightwave requirement states you need to kill/capture a Hydrolyst, which is the 3rd Eidolon at night after the Teralyst and Gauntalyst.  So which Eidolon did you kill?

If your friend is on your Friend's list in Warframe and you completed all 3 sortie missions with said friend, you should complete that Nightwave task.  It might also work if you completed just the 3rd sortie mission with a friend but I did not have a chance to test that out.

  3. To be honest, 8 Plains bounty requirement is a real chore.  Even doing the minimum 3-stage bounty eight times is numbing.  Also, accepting and capturing all tridolons in the night cycle doesn't count as a bounty completed. 😕

At least for the 9-invasion missions, each mission in that invasion counts for 1, so you technically just need to 'complete' 3 invasion missions.

I suspect DE will tweak the numbers for future iterations, hopefully for the better.

Hey guys! To clarify because I'm seeing a lot of questions about the removal of the config - We are not removing the ability to re-bind your controller. We are simply doing away with the Classic Controller default binding scheme (configuration).

You absolutely can re-map your Abilities to d-pad still and bind the touch-pad to consumables, yup! You can also bind melee to R1.

Awesome.  Thanks so much for clarifying, Danellie!

I'll do what Onder6099 posted a few messages back and remap my current classic settings to the new controller config page.

My powers are mapped to my d-pad. Is that not going to be an option anymore?? And the touchpad needs to be able to be mapped to consumables. Also, I can’t use R1 for melee either??

I think we just have to wait until the update drops to find out. 😕  Not sure if DE's PS4 team or Danielle is even reading these follow-ups.  Maybe they have but haven't responded yet.

I asked a question earlier too about the touchpad and would also like to know if R1 can be remapped to quick melee.

Maybe they don't think this is a big deal because most players are on the new controller scheme.  Well, news flash, quite a few veterans that played the game and supported you when it first came out on the PS4 got used to the old controller scheme and like it, and now will be cursory dismissed.  Sad but that's the truth I guess.

The New Controller picture still shows the touchpad as useable for casting abilities.  Only that the R1 button is now the Ability menu button.  So I can still swipe the touchpad for abilities?!

Sigh, years of finger muscle memory now needs to be retrained. 😞 . I guess it's partly my fault for not switching sooner, but yeah, thanks for yet another inconvenience..

  7. Yes, the list Steve drew on the whiteboard is indeed ambitious, and kudos if they can pull it off.  My guess is that perhaps only 50% will materialize in 2019.  Still, it's a decent amount of content if so.

From a software development point of view, Warframe's codebase must be getting to the point of being unwieldy.  If they truly are going to add all they listed, while still keeping existing content intact, I can't image all the testing/QA that is needed just to ship out future updates.  Not only will they need to test all the new content but to also make sure all the old stuff remains unbroken.  Hence, the 'picking up the pieces' Steve mentioned can only pile up as more new pieces are added, and more stuff needs to be maintained/tested.

Regardless, 2019 does sound like it's off to an exiting start.  Come end 2019, let's re-visit this devstream and see what really has been accomplished.  No pressure, DE. 🙂

I don't really care what Raid rewards will be as long as i can possibly start a Raid solo with the same or harder difficulty setting a party would have to face. (and nothing like key rng

    ...

    This, so much this!

I know it is fun to get a group of like-minded friends together and do a raid.  I work, have family, chores, errands to run, etc so can't always commit to a time when everyone is around for me to do the raid!  Even if I have the time, I'll then need to corral my friends from clan or alliance or random people and then have to wait while the lobby forms ("Oh, gimme 10 mins to finish this mission first", "Need to walk my dog, gimme 5 mins...", etc. Lol.)

I'm thankful Eidolons can be solo'd.  Sure, I can't do 5x3 captures a night solo, but at least I can do a tridolon set by myself.

I also do hope there is nothing new and significant in the new raid rewards table, else it'll smack solo players in the face again. 😞

  9. I think the PS4 Orb Vallis instance has a bug and crashing when staying in OV for too long.  This is an edge-case scenario that was probably not tested.  Maybe caused by a memory leak.  If DE can read this, do kindly do something about this.  Details below.

I know I could replicate it consistently back in Dec when I was trying to farm the 1 million meters kDrive challenge/trophy.

Here's what I was doing then: I would be on my kDrive in the lake in front of the elevator and rubber-banded my controller sticks so that I'll go in a circle.  I would then leave that running overnight (6 to 8 hours).  When I checked back the next morning, and headed to the Fortuna elevator in OV, the PS4 will immediately crash out to bluescreen.  I repeated that at least twice and reported the error via PSN error submission.  The only way for me to 'safely' exit from OV was to abort to Orbiter (or maybe abort to Fortuna but I didn't try that).

I would lose any pick ups via the abort, but the kdrive distance travelled would still be saved.

PS: Don't judge me for this!  I was going on vacation in end December and wanted to complete that insane 1 million meters on kdrive trophy beforehand. 🙂

  10. Personally, I don't care for another Open World and the accompanying brand new resource grinds.  I'm tired of fishing and mining, as 'enjoyable' as they are.

Hoping the riven slots limit will be raised (c'mon, I bet you must know the multiple players who have alternate accounts just to store extra rivens).

If you do come up with a new tileset, please do not make it annoying to navigate with too many false entries or convoluted pathways.

Stop TennoCon?  I feel like TennoCon is somewhat responsible for the content drought, and you're compelled to hide a lot of stuff and focus on one big thing that you need to surprise reveal at TennoCon to justify people who are attending.  Also, all the prep work and organization effort by the staff for TennoCon could be better used for testing the game and fixing issues.

Stop messing with the UI?!  Lol.  I know you need things to look new and shiny, but you ain't fooling me, it's still mostly the same game!  Sometime I feel the UI changes are just for the sake of changing since they don't add to any new functionality.

The many bugs, although mostly minor that still plaque the game - fissure enemies spawning in ceiling/walls, kuva siphons in the ground, etc

  11. On PS4, I . bought a Bad Baby K-Drive from Roky and was able to do the daily races.

The K-Drive race locations change with each daily reset.  You can see which ones are active here:  http://www.framemastery.com/orb-vallis-map/  (The PS4 active races matches with the PC ones shown in green on the map.  My guess is XBox locations will match too.)

From the past two days of races, I noticed that there're 5 daily races and looks like 3 new locations are rotated daily.

When you reach the race locations, a purple icon should appear on your mini-map and you'll need to speak with the kid there to begin the race.

  12. Even though Fortuna1.0 hasn't dropped on consoles yet, I tend to agree with the OP.

I have watched partner youtube PC gameplay, read about it everywhere, and been teased about it for so long from Devstreams before TennoCon2018, then more Devstream showcases after TennoCon, I'm just tired of it even before playing!  Lol.  Then again, been playing since April 2014 on PS4, so most of the 'magic' of the game has since melted away, especially so this year for one or more reasons.  I was so hyped and excited for PoE when it first came out, was glued to twitch streams, youtube partners, etc.  For Fortuna, it's more like, 'Oh ok, not again with the new grind!'.  Not bad, but bigger is not necessarily better.

DE is a great studio and have my respect, but I hope the next major update is not yet another open world.  Railjack and New War sounds promising, but if they announce yet another open world at TennoCon2019, dunno, I may have to dial it back a bit and spend my money elsewhere.

I guess there's still Fortuna 2.0 with the big spider fights and more.  And no doubt more content tied to making us play on OV in the coming months.  Honestly, this doesn't excite me like it once did.

Not sure what can DE do to really up the ante for the next major release.  It's a tough business but I hope they can suss it out and have the skill and talent to make the next major update something to really get excited about.

And all the console players will be starting at mr0 while pc players will be starting at whatever their Mr is atm with all their gear, mods, arcane etc.  Sounds fair doesn't it.

Yeah, unless you migrate over from PC, all new Switch players will need to start afresh from MR0.  I believe the announcement said no clan info will be migrated, so you'll need to start your Dojo from rank 0 and build/research everything.  No clans on switch will ever have the Ignis Wraith research unless DE decides a way to release it again.

As for PC players who migrated over with all their inventory, me thinks it's an excellent way to build up plat from trading on Switch right now, selling to new users who want prime parts, blueprints, special weapons, riven mods, vaulted stuff, etc.

Moreover, all new Switch users start from login day 0 too, so unless you migrated again, you'll need to wait to get your Zenistar, Primed Sure Footed, etc.

  14. Thanks for sharing the link.

I always wish DE would share their experience with console certs as well.  For example, some console updates get certified overnight while others take a week+.  If we could have more insights along the way, it'd be nice.  Otherwise as users, we just wait without knowing what's happening until DE says it is ready.

  15. Personally, I hope Fortuna/Orb Valis is the last open world DE adds to the game.  PoE in 2017 was a nice addition since it was something new.  Fortuna is just a bigger version with yet more grind.  Seeing Rebecca hunt that one creature on the last devstream for 40+ minutes just made me shudder thinking of what resources we need to now gather and the possible dojo pigments associated with some.

Would be more interested in Railjack and anything not open world in the future.  Heck, even adding another new planet with a new tile set would be better.

  16. Yeah, even on PS4, Elite Onslaught doesn't seem solo-able past Zone 4 or so.

With a public group, we made it up to Zone 8 but failed like you - just not enough enemies.

I think Elite Onslaught needs some tuning for consoles.  C'mon, it at least has to be solo-able to past Zone 8.  Granted I haven't tried all builds yet, but I'm using a strength Octavia and Amprex and killing as fast I possibly can already.

  17. PC players are hard at work testing this for us now. :)

They've already had 5 hotfixes since release and likely more incoming.  My guess is mid to end May for console players.
