  1. I can't think of any "exclusive" weapon that is vastly (or even remotely) superior to those available... To me that's just plain old "other people have it but I don't and I can never have it, so my baby reflexes kick in and I cry".

I know it sucks, I wasn't there for Strun Wraith and Snipetron Vandal events, and it &!$$es me off, but I don't blame DE for it.

There are other games where the "exclusive items" phenomenon is much more present too. It would be hypocritical to put the blame on the devs just like that.^^'

And who knows... maybe we'll get another shot at Strun/Snipetron/whatevernotfounderstuff in the future. The vault might be re-opened for these. Might make the current owners of these weapons angry (and understandably so) though.^^'

It means one less person to play with, it adds up over time. To DE it's effectively snatching a few dollars fast, at the cost of making more dollars down the road. Fact is a lot of people who play games are collectors, and they are usually more apt to open a wallet if it means finishing a collection they have been working on, but the instant they can't finish collecting they take their money elsewhere, and we all lose.

You can call it what you like. I call it bad business. It would be like going down to buy a new truck and the dealer saying sorry we only made 1000 this year and sold them all for 50k each, instead of making 250,000 and selling them for 30k each, and we also decided to stop making trucks. No problem I'm sure someone else is still making trucks and wants my money.

Bad Business is Bad Business, no matter how you slice it, you end up with a slice of Bad Business.

Back on track, Boltor P hardly needs nerfs it like many other things just need MR changes.

  2. I think MR needs to be used more. They should sit down and and change MR requirements for almost everything in the game.

I've seen more people leave for a different reason though. It's something that people hate being brought up. It boils down to some real bad decision making on DE's part. Every time someone finds out they will Never be able to collect all things due to certain exclusive items they lose interest.

New guy: Hey! That looks cool. What is it? Where can I get it?

Me:          *sigh* it's blah(insert exclusive item) you can't get it.

    New guy: Why not?

Me:          It's exclusive(insert reason for particular thing being exclusive)

New guy: WTF! If I can't collect everything whats the point?

Me:          I don't know, ask the devs.

New guy: Screw it! I am going back to(insert other game)

I have had slightly varied iterations of that above conversation way to many times.

  3. This is  a small step in the right direction. Laptops should not be hosting if it can be avoided, some desktops should not be hosting either.

A large part of this problem is due to marketing using the term gaming laptop, when fact is do to heat and a few other things, laptops are not a wise choice for gaming. Most laptop users have a wifi connection and although current tech has speeds comparable to an Ethernet connection, wifi takes a back seat due to signal interference and consistency.

This basically boils down to while you may have adequate specs on your laptop, and you may have a fast enough connection, throttling due to heat which is common on laptops paired with signal interference and consistency issues common to wifi make for a bad host.

  4.

Also people from the alliance that has the rail cant join the conflict against there dark sector. And whoever attacks also cant join as a defender. So other than shady tactics, the rest that happens in DS is legit.

Is anyone in here naive enough to believe multiple accounts are not being used to exploit the horrible state of dark sectors? DS and Legit do not belong in the same sentence.

  5. I use them but it requires making key macros. It's a shame all the stances are not set up to where the 4 special attacks are assigned to 5, 6, 7, 8. All of  them share the same way to do the other 4 like air, wall, slide, aim at downed enemy.

Even if they just made them all share the same  4 activations it would simplify things. The only modifier should be the stance.

Of course someone is bound to say but we are playing on a console and are running out of buttons(Not MY Problem) I want the PC game to be the best it can be and not be held back by consoles the way most games are now days.

  6. Only buff I'm willing to see on Loki is being able to cast multiple decoys.

I could see more than one decoy being viable maybe a 3 decoy limit, and perhaps make the decoys timer based only,  so they are not instantly destroyed by lvl 100+ mobs.

  7. Laptops are not meant for serious gaming despite what people may try to tell you. Your system specs will play a large role in hosting not just your connection speed. Also! As a rule, Ethernet connections tend to have a lower and more consistent latency than Wi-Fi connections. This is largely due to issues with interference with the Wi-Fi signal and not due to actual differences in transmission time. Later revisions of Wi-Fi, such as Wireless N, tend to perform better with regard to latency but may still have issues with consistency.

To sum up game hosting is best with a better than average gaming rig using a high speed Ethernet connection to ensure low latency. It's just Like gaming mice, wires good, wireless bad (input latency blows)

  8. The logic is actually incredibly simple (it's the same reason why PC players shun console players) and it applies to way more than just console/PC users. It applies to things like wireless carriers, internet providers, anything where people can be a "member" really:

    People like to feel special.

People like being part of something exclusive.

People want to reaffirm themselves about their decisions (they want to believe they're right).

People like to ridicule those who diverge from their way of thinking (people are cruel).

Some PS4 users probably feel angry that XB1 has Warframe now because it was a PS4 exclusive for nearly a year (and it was only recently that plans for the XB1 were made known). Because they're no longer "special" in the regard of being the only console that has the game. Similar to how PC users got angry when Warframe came to the PS4.

    Fanboyism is silly.

This really has nothing to do with why PC gamers get aggravated. Let me try and explain it in a very simple way. If you are Over 40 years of age and have been a hardcore gamer you are more than likely a PC gamer, you remember the Innovative Games. I'm talking about games that at the time were amazing because they broke new ground.

Think about what it would be like to go from playing Pong, to combat on atari, or maybe a few games on the vic 20, Apple 2e( lode runner wait what we get to create or own levels awesome ),  to a short time later Doom or Descent on PC. That kind of a jump in Wow factor is still possible on the PC, but it is sadly going to waste by games being ported to consoles. Moving a game to a console more than halves the potential of the game to be great. All of a sudden we have to live with sub par graphics, bad UI's, slower less complex game controls, it literally neuters the game.

Sure consoles are getting better all the time, and maybe one day they will be able to compete who knows, but today right now, consoles are still causing game innovations to stagnate and even regress. This is bound to be aggravating to a PC gamer who realizes just how much untapped potential is being tossed out the window so that consoles can play also.

Console players are generally just younger and have not been around to see the giant leap backwards gaming is taking as the consoles slowly get better. It's like the old saying you can't miss what you never had, consoles don't have it, and they don't miss it. PC had it, we miss it, and want it back.

I'm not saying consoles are all bad. My children enjoyed them until they grew up and moved to PC. I myself can still rock a controller like it's nobodies business. The serious gamer in me however wants you to get your ******** console out of my PC gaming.

  9. Considering what a large percentage of PC gamers actually play on (according to Steam surveys), the new consoles would be an upgrade.

Not a fan of Steam I like to manage my own gaming. I am curious about said poll. See there are gamers who play on PC, and then there are PC gamers. I would hazard a guess they have mistook one for the other. I'd put my rig up against any console. I'd also probably have to wager that the silly low pc requirements for steam, are in some way a contributing factor, just looking at them reminds me of the stone age.

  10.  There is a large amount of things taken from Irish Mythology with these new additions.  Balor was actually King of the Formoire.

Sling Stone now that is funny, since it is what Lug used to slay his Grandfather Balor.

  11. Miter !

I was wondering how long till someone would mention the Miter. What's more manly then going into your garage and coming out with a saw blade flinging monstrosity. I'm pretty sure the Miter is Wile E. Coyote and Tim (the tool man) Taylor approved.

  12. Right when Destiny is coming up. Well played DE, you know your players well.

And for me, after so long bashing my head against the grindstone for bite, and waiting ever so patiently for a chassis to show up when I am conscious... Let just say many shouts of Lotus be Praised were heard in my area when I read that this will happen.

Destiny looked interesting it's a shame they did not make a real version of it.  I'd sooner castrate myself for giggles, then game on consoles again. *Shudder* Consoles... over priced paper weight anyone?

  13. Simple answer... YES! some of the zoom scopes on rifles are just bad real bad, Vulkar comes to mind(horrible color), Vectis would be ok if the zoomed center dot was not huge and the color could be altered, well that and it is resolution dependent (bad raster bad).

  14. Ok, the G3 are not bugged.  If your read my giude, you will understand that with a full marked squad the chances of the G3 spawning is only 3%.  I have fought them two times in the last few days and I have nothing bad to report.

What part of G3 during a Dark Sector Infested defense with no extraction point are you considering not a bug. The part where you can't end the mission cause you do not get the option to at the end of each 5 waves? Cause they are not supposed to show up in infested defense. One of the guys was running video hopefully he will put it up somewhere everyone will see.

Maybe you are just assuming I am an aggravated Brakk farmer( Already have Brakk from killing Grustrag ) try again! If I had read your guide? How about you try reading the posts before making all kinds of assumptions. Hmm a quick search and.. https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/305693-grustrag-3-messages-showing-up-but-not-appearing-and-then-my-screen-froze-up-as-well-is-this-to-do-with-it/
