  1. I think the simple solution would be remove all indicators of enemy level throughout the entire game. How am I supposed to know MR. Badguy trained harder than his palls and has a better gun before coming face to face with him without some kind of intel? I shouldn't!

    More random difficulties is just what this game needs. Granted to be a little fair they should maybe scale some for solo, lower rank tenno. Not for groups though, crank that skill cap up, and force team play, it ain't fun till tenno need revives!!

  2. I'm more appalled by the responses from the community, than anything done by the OP. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. (blanket statement, not all responses were appalling.)

     

     

    The game is rife with bugs, that are getting overlooked on a regular basis, and you all know this. Instead of being constructive, you act like vultures, or a pack of ravenous dogs, swarming anyone that posts anything.

     

    I've personally witnessed a few of the bugs he mentions and they are annoying to say the least. Maybe it is my PC... Here I thought my asus rampage IV extreme, I7 3820 @5ghz, 16gb (4x4 quad channel vengeance) and dual gtx 780 ti sli, 2x256G samsung 840 pro ssd, and 4x WD 1000G raptors open loop water cooled rig with 10 up 100 down internet was sufficient who knew? Apparently people would have you believe you need advanced alien tech to run warframe and I am not talking about that trash alienware passes off as high end gaming rigs. Before blaming somebody's PC don't you think asking maybe for the specs first, and possibly trying to find out what degree of tech knowledge they possess, may be pertinent information?

     

    OP.. do not let them get you down! DE needs to start doing some serious ANIMAL control in the forums.

    I'll make this short it has to be a bug because currently it means... sniper rifle with mutation + angstrum (or castana) modded however you like + sniper scavenger aura = infinite Angstrum(or castana) ammo. spam spam spam no worries spam etc.

    I found something that may be a bug, maybe not. If using a vectis angstrum combo rounds fired with either take away from both. So say you use 15 rounds sniping and swap to angstrum you only have 15 rounds, I was thinking they would each have 30 to themselves. I'm not sure what was intended. I will say it made ammo management a little more intensive but I managed to make do, as I was soloing on pluto at the time.

     

     

    This could actually be broken, it may allow using a sniper ammo mod in say a vectis, for almost infinite ammo in the angstrum while not having to sacrifice a dmg mod for ammo.

     

    Back to testing.

     

    Ok Paris has same 30 rounds being shared with angstrum.

     

    Sniper ammo mutation is only good on sniper rifles not bow or launchers, pistols do not have a sniper ammo mod, you can't feed the sniper, bow, or launcher with an angstrum, but you can indeed feed your angstrum with a sniper rifle equipped with sniper ammo mutation. It gives sniper rifle, angstrum combo an interesting synergy, although I am not sure it's intended, and it does require giving up some sniper dmg to feed your angstrum. Pair that with a sniper scavenger aura, and ammo for the angstrum is a complete non issue while still being full modded for damage.

     

    I'm really not sure what the intentions of the developer are but, I find it hard to believe they intended this synergy to exist.

    I'll repeat sniper rifle with mutation + angstrum modded however you like + sniper scavenger aura = infinite Angstrum ammo.

     

    I think I deserve a cookie or at least a primed chamber for all this work!

  6. So I have been playing around with my Angstrum this evening and frankly it's not so bad, definitely less spam, but plenty easy to manage the ammo. Still testing with it before moving to another launcher, but it's hardly useless like I am seeing others say. Maybe others are just defining useless as anything you can not easily spam to solo clear wave after wave without a care in the world, during a defense mission.

     

    I was a little shocked at having 30 rounds for my Vectis since without inherent punch or any form of aoe it's basically single target, god forbid ya miss or it doesn't manage to kill, but so far it has not been broken. More testing needed!

     

    Did they up sniper ammo drops? Feels like maybe they did. I'll be testing more thoroughly tomorrow, but so far I have not hit anything that jumped out and slapped me silly screaming, I'm broken and worthless do not use me.

  7. ...so you're complaining that sniper rifles don't have travel time on their bullets?  o_o   Priorities, man.  I think yours are a bit screwed up.

    Actually I was responding to a question over a previous post of mine, where I was giving feedback on both launchers, and snipers. The question just happened to be about sniper rifles. Does everyone just assume feedback of any kind is a complaint?

     

    If wanting a better more Immersive gaming experience,and giving feedback in hopes of attaining such, means my priorities are screwed up. Then enlighten me what should my priorities be?

So in your world snipers arent high powered? you do realize that the automatic rifles in this game shoot hitscan at the moment and logically (arguing logic in a video game is a slippery slope but lets just assume at least this part is logic) snipers shoot their bullets at a higher speed than regular (semi)automatic weapons because of their intended use being longer range takedowns wich would mean that if snipers shouldnt be hitscan no weapon can be hitscan. the only reason to not have (bullet) snipers hitscan is to accomodate for sniper elite type cutscenes when you headshot something and that just doesnt fit

    As some one who has used everything from the M40 to M82 I can tell you this. Sniper rifles are not hitscan. Just a short 1000 yard shot can have it's outcome changed simply by the direction in which you are firing do to the earths rotation. I've over simplified this because explaining it in depth would take way to long.

     

    For short to mid range shots with an assault rifle or pistol there is a lot more wiggle room as in less to compensate for which would make them appear closer to hitscan even though in reality they are not either.

     

    Even in Warframe all the assault rifles are not hit scan. The Boltor for instance is not hit scan, all I am proposing is having the sniper rifles fall some where slightly above the Bolter in projectile speed, it could add a more realistic feel to using them which would increase game immersion. Besides the higher the skill cap the more you can justify giving them more damage buffs.

     

    As for my world... In my world high powered does not equate to hit scan, and logic can be applied to anything including a video game. Just because something may be Sci Fi, Fantasy, etc. does not mean logic should be excluded. Without some degree of logic, even the most Fantastic things imaginable would fail to suspend disbelief, now that would really be horrible.

  9. I will be first in line to say launchers needed a nerf. I feel like the reduction of ammo may be a little much if also changing them to sniper/bow ammo, but I am more than happy to see how they play after the change.

     

    It's also nice to see snipers getting some love. I'm surprised that all the snipers did not get some amount of inherent punch. Especially the single shot Vectis. I mean realistically a sniper rifle should have more punch thru than a bow. Adding an explosive round mod could be interesting.  The only thing left to do is bring back primed chamber!

     

    Fact is I would not mind seeing both risk/skill cap and reward go up for snipers. Think about it... some inherent punch, ability to red crit on head shots, charged chamber should just become primed chamber(it would be a nice buff and stop stacking), then add some mildots and give the rounds some travel time to compensate for all the buffing. Besides snipers really should not be hit scan weapons. 

  10. I actually like the scope feature of the vectis, even if it's missing mildots, and the center dot is large enough to actually obscure view. I would not mind seeing those issues addressed as well as a zoom feature(mouse scroll). I'd also actually prefer to see it get a dmg boost and some travel time, just does not seem natural for a  sniper rifle to be hitscan.

  11. There is much to cover here, so I will confine my response to just Nekros. If you want to rework soul punch or make it scale better or even change it fine. If you want to make some tweaks to Terrify or SotD, ok maybe... just do not remove the debuff of terrify, and frankly only some AI tweaks are needed on SotD but I'm open to other ideas. Desecrate is fine you hardly have to give up all the utility of sotd and terrify just to be able to mass spam desecrate, and in extended survival runs the debuff is real nice. I wouldn't be bothered if desecrate was a little more reliable cause sometimes staring at the corpse while spamming is annoying. Note firing a round into a corpse tends to stop the need to spam and cause it to give up the goods more often than not so it's probably a bug.

     

    Nekros currently has three nice skills, and one that scales really bad no matter what you do. I just do not understand why giving up 3 good skills for four mediocre ones is going to be better?

    Fifth, Vertical wall run height. I've heard recently in U14, they've removed the crouch refresh in wall running. Well, why didn't they fix the cause for finding this glitch? The poor wall running height. I'd think it should be stamina based but that would let you climb any wall in the game no matter what. It's already speed based but that's still poor, Excal with rush barely gets his own height up the wall. 

     

    The crouch was used for more than just height, it allowed you to hang on a wall, and do a few other things you mention not being able to do now. They need to put it back in the game, even if they have to ad some kind of, if on wall use x amount of stamina. They basically just took a large amount of fun out of the game for no apparent reason.  

  13. I rarely use my rhino or rhino prime outside of solo ruk runs for Orikin cells, unless someone asks me to bring him for roar. I don't think rhino should be a starter, and is fine where he is at. Moving him up or back would be pointless. I think Excalibur as a starter would be fine, in fact he could be the only starter.Loki should not be a starter, even if he is one of my favorite frames. I'm usually not one for removing options, but this game has a few things where it would make sense to do so. Excalibur being the only starter frame would make sense.

  14. Well, you don't really feed it so how is it doing this?

    After using a Microscope to do a fecal exam it appears to be a mixture of Grineer face, Corpus face, infested flesh, and what I can only assume is a bolt from some kind of Moa or Osprey.

     

    An analysis of the fluid had these results: water, with organic solutes including urea, creatinine, uric acid, and trace amounts of enzymes, carbohydrates, hormones, fatty acids, pigments, and mucins, and inorganic ions specifically: sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), chloride (Cl-), magnesium (Mg2+), calcium (Ca2+), ammonium (NH4+), sulfates (SO42-), and phosphates (PO43-).

  15. The question is a bit subjective as best is sometimes dictated by mission type and what you are facing. If the question was if you could only have one my answer would be simple.

     

    primary:        Boltor Prime

    secondary:    Despair

    melee:          Glaive Prime ( people may ask why.. fun factor of 20 on a 1-10 scale, dmg is more than adequate, but simply nothing can come even remotely close to matching it in utility )

     

    Luckily I'm not limited to only one option cause late game I'd miss Paris Prime or my Vectis.  I still love the Akbolto and thinking about an AKbolto Prime is like a wet dream. As for melee I prefer Dakra Prime to Dragon Nikana, Bo Prime and Dual Ichors are both great also.

     

    I hate Orthos Prime. I also am not fond of the aoe noobtubes penta ogris etc etc etc.

  16. I personally think they should make it a twelve hour timer that starts when you first stasis the animal. Taking them out should be instant after twelve hours, and maybe an option to pay plat to speed the timer.

     

    Then again I thought the cost of stabilizers was fine and they should have left it and destabilization alone.

     

    Of course until they give all Kubrow a Fetch mod(vacuum), and a Recon Camera (scanner device) it's just a space dog, a poorly trained mutt, and the space fleas are getting out of hand. The Kubrow hair is starting to clog up the ships life support ventilation filters, and the damn thing keeps scratching at the airlock and looking at me before leaving a puddle or worse on the ships floor. 

  17. Just for the record. I support all items in game, being obtainable in game, through game play, regardless of current exclusivity, or platform. Yes even if it's something I have obtained with real money, that someone else may not have. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Why should I be entitled to anything due to circumstance, level the playing field and get back to the heart of real gaming. 

     

    Besides it will undoubtedly make DE more money, so it is a win for everyone.

     

    As for special events just give us trophies for the Dojo. Cannot be traded, used for nothing but bragging rights, trophies.
