  1. FYI - i hate Frames based on their "Omfg, how can you not use it, its so stronK, xoxo #yoloswagframe" factor. Frames should be equal in the means of "Which frame can i play, without being forced to"

#1. Nova - Helmet looks like one of those hairstyles, when women are too lazy to do something with their hair and wrap it to this...this tumor on their heads. Also removes the need of skill to reach secret rooms. Those should be reserved to Tenno who can actually do the needed Parkour, not those who can press "get me there"-button. Ultimate is a complete joke and should be replaced by anything else. Atm she is irreplaceable at higherlevels due to the extra damage and prog.

#2. Nekros - You need this frame to farm stuff. Not "maybe" not "optional" - its a must have if you want to farm some mods. A frame shouldnt be absolutely vital to getting stuff. Thats like a frame that would drop platinum with a skill. Not much, only like 1 or 2, but everyone would have to have it. Same for Nekros. U13 there and recruiting looked like this "Need 3 maxed Nekros, no other frame". Also absolutely vital to long survivals, since he can basically spawn new life support.

#3. Vauban - No, he is NOT better than Frost.

#4. Trinity - Best helmet looks sh*ttiest. Ultimate gets pushed to 20 secs+ and with 2 in your team you are basically invincible, making Survivals a joke. Frame-abilities shouldnt replace player-skill.

Lets say we are making a high-lv survival. You will need Nova (to deal any damage to high level enemies), Nekros (to give you more life-support, better drops, enemies that fight for you and life/energy orbs), Trinity (to keep you alive, even if you shouldnt be) and then we got one f-ing spot free. Now the question is - what do we need 16 other frames for, if there is only one debateable spot for them? Which btw will probably be filled with one more of the prior 3.

  2. this is the first time this happen ever so we have to wait im sure they will find the problem and they might give you a extended time on thos i think

No, its not the first time, its the first time the majority is involved. You may be pissed now, but im glad. Honestly - the sh*t some players have to put up with is now available for all, congratulations.

Personally i can play at best half the time, because some connection issues are there, like the "Failed to join session" or "Host migration" bugs which derivated from being features and now cause more problems than solutions. But hey - as long as only some unimportant people have to wait a day or so to be able to play again, nothing will be done. Now they have to do stuff to actually fix the problem. Kind of enjoying this, though i cant play myself.

  3. Why would you doubt it? Everyone and their mother knows how to DDoS nowadays. Moba communities (Not passing blame, just an example as of recent events.) are rather popular for being DDoS'd/DDoS'ers. I'm sure Nexon players were upset when they were called out for cheating too.

Plenty of reasons for someone to DDoS, that and it's happened before. It'll eventually get sorted though. Stay strong.

Because you dont need 20 hours to fix a DDoS. Even less if you are a professional.

  4. I would say, that if its a DDoS (and i doubt it, i think they simply fcked something up and need an excuse), its from some of the fanboys who got butthurt, that Warframe won on MMObomb

  5. Same problem - Launcher wont start, when you managed to get past this, you cant login, when you managed to get past this, then the chat and multiplayed doesnt work, when you managed to get past this, then you get kicked out of the mission, when you managed to get past this, then the mission does not finish properly

And now they are trying to explain, that its a DDOS - right, because it makes total sense to knock out a game for one miserely day or so. And even if it was a DDOS - why was none of them prepared?!? Thats like the only thing that can bring a server down, come f-ing on.

Sick of it - its either "Failed to join session" a host migration at the start of wave 41 in a T3 Def or some other bullsh*t. But hey, lets push content instead of fixing the sh*t you already produced.

The game itself is great, BUT IT'S F*CKING UNPLAYABLE 50 F*CKING PERCENT OF THE TIME!

  6. Did some calculation. Lets say you are totally hyped and will put all the new channeling mods in (Quickening, Second Wind, True Punishment, Warrior's Grip, Enduring Strike and Life Strike) - you will consume +460% energy, which means each strike will cost you 28 energy.

  7. To be honest it feels like they thought "Well...we could rework the whole system and actually give players some cool, fluent ninja-style fighting....oooor we could save lots of moneyz and time and just add mods, that will rename the very same move their already had before the update into "Uberdeath Storm Annihilation" - if its a slide attack and "Deathstar Crushdown Carnage" if its a jump attack...will sure keep the 12yo entertained and we still can use the one uselessly complicated and stiff new combo that will make up for a trailer"

Most combos dont give you anything. In Devil May Cry or Darksiders such combos gave you bonus damage or massive staggery and opponents came sometimes in small groups or even solo, challenging your skills beyond "press button, wait until everything is dead" aka Synapse. Here they are just useless, time consuming, distracting and overall not needed in any way.

Sure, we want cool ninja moves, but we dont want cool but useless ninja moves. I dont see any reason to use melee at all anymore. First off i used to run around with Galatine, which became weaker than most other weapons. Secondly - energy eating weapons? Really? Thats like a gun that shoots yourself before firing at an enemy. And all the new mods increase the energy consumption even more. You can loose more energy per hit than some abilities use. Thats insane, utterly insane.

  8. Never liked the Galatine. Always stayed to my Gram (did they made it smaller?). I think they should just bring charge attacks back.

Well, but then they would have to admit they were wrong, which no dev ever will.

I dont see anyone using melee weapons. Its less than before. People rather wait for their main weapon to reload instead of using their melee when surrouded.

  9. "needs"?   why exactly?   its a low mastery weapon, it deserves to be low/average.

Soma was Mastery 3. I guess it was made weak then...oh, nope, it was made mastery 6 and strongest full-auto weapon now after synapse

  10. Galatine and Gram are now pretty much on par with each other. I was testing out both on Grineer troopers and lancers (I need to test on Infested and Corpus later). Gram consistently did slightly more damage each time (it was a pretty small damage difference), channeled and normal attacks, because it has more puncture. That being said, Galatine has a bit more utility to make up for it's lack of other damage types. It has much longer reach, double the status chance, and slightly increased crit chance but that seems negligible, however, channeling seemed to increase the crit chance. (I think it still hits more enemies at once like it used to, haven't tested that out yet.)

So now it's a matter of personal taste I guess. Do you want more raw damage or more utility?

Galatine was nerfed but you gotta keep in mind that it is only mastery 3 which is extremely low. And most other weapons that are better (like the Scoliac you mentioned) are either higher mastery and/or clan tech.

If you want an extremely strong melee get the Dragon Nikana (which is the strongest melee but requires mastery 8 and destruction of a regular nikana which I believe is also mastery locked. It's a lot to get it but worth it.)

The Mastery/Clan Tech argument isnt very good. This way we should have nerfed Soma, so it deals as much damage as Lato, instead of increasing its Mastery req.

The way it is now, we have 2 monstrous swords that deal less damage than some f-ing daggers. No one thinks something is out of order there?

  11. It got nerfed down to a crumb of its former strength. I dare ANYONE of those who go "Oh, well, its still so stronK, even Skana is weaker" just try and make a T3 Survival/Defense wave at 40 mins or the 40th wave with Galatine only. Just one damn wave. You know what? Not even a wave, just a big group of enemies, like 15-20 crowded at one spot.

Its perfect for the job right? Hits 5 at once and stuff. And i bet you got the perfect stance for it, so give it a shot, cmon. It wont make a scratch.

We arent talking about it being average, we are talking about it being nerfed to death and people getting off, because they hated it so hard, they wished nothing else for.

  12. Its completely underpowered now. Seems Devs follow a Child's logic: "It was too powerful, so we made it weaker than dagger....Have fuuun"

They havent balanced it, they simply killed it.

  13. ITT :

"I super potatoe'd every slot just how i like it, now the weapon is F***-all useless, though, i haven't actually checked out any stances yet."

    Sounds legit, Give it time.

Stances do not multiply damage, if i got it right. They only give you the ability to look fancy. Its like allowing to hold our rifles sidewards.

    Here is my build http://abload.de/img/unbenannt2p1jnd.jpg

I wonder where exactly i get more damage from than this. Sure i could replace Reach with North Wind or Fury, but it wont make the weapon that much stronger.

I have a buddy who made himself a scoliac - it has 2 mods and already deals 3k crits WITHOUT channeling. My Galatine deals fully modded and WITH channeling only 2500 crits. That. Is. Rediculous. A whip so much more stronger than a two-handed sword is plain BS.

I hope the stances give it some good AoE swings to make up for the lost damage.

    Semantics.

Technically it's neither and both, as it's a just variation of two handed swords.

Zweihander = 2 Handguards and grips, part of the blade not sharp so you could grab it there, blade consits of a rectangle and triangle.

Claymore = Normal hilt and 1 handguard. Blade consists out of a lengthy trapezoid and triangle.

  14. Guys, im not saying it should have stayed the same, im saying that they nerfed it too hard. Thats like saying "Oh well, ther was always lots of sand in the Sahara (which is ofcourse true) - lets flood it completely so it becomes a swamp. I know its a rather dumb example, but you know what i mean. It was too strong, now its too weak to be used at all. Nerfing shouldnt make something completely useless, it should put it overall even with other weapons.

  15. channeling efficiency FTW

Well, got Focus Energy, Reflex Coil and Corrupted Charge = 60% efficiency = 2 Energy per strike. 15 strikes for a Heavy unit = 30 Energy wasted. And yes, my mods are full upped, my Galatine 2 times polarized and with a potato

  16. I've actually found the Galatine to be pretty effective. I mean, I managed to oneshot Nef Anyo with it earlier whilst farming for stances, so it can't be all that bad.

Well, Nef Anyo has about 2000 lifepoints+shield+armor, you can oneshot him with a wet towel.

A melee weapon should be something that makes the enemy regret to get up close and personal. Otherwise i can just keep my finger on LMB while my synapse is out. Galatine was always a way to make some room around you, now its just wiggling at the enemy with almost no effect, even if you burn through your energy.

Galatine deserves to be the best Melee weapon

NO weapon deserves to be the best! All weapons are mostly equal now, but people are raging? When IS the last time you saw someone use a Machete(or it's wraith) BEFORE melee 2.0? Its my favorite weapon, and now I CAN ACTUALLY USE IT!

When "quoting", please do it correctly. Its my personal opinion, but it doesnt have to be the strongest one, as i understand, that not everyone wants to use it, while staying competative.

  17. Well, many of us used to use the awesome beauty we call Galatine. As it seems it got nerfed past every other weapon and deals almost rediculously low damage.

As i see it, DE just wanted to force every Galatine user to get new weapons and nerf-hammered it into the ground.

I always thought the point of balancing things would be to make them about equal, but Galatine isnt viable imho anymore. 50k crits vs. 1k energy-draining attacks? It means it got nerfed to 2% of its former strength. Basically you have to strike 50 times to cause equivalent damage to its former critical strike. I found myself hammering at a heavy gunner, which would go down after 15-20 strikes, whereas it took 1 before.

I dont have a stance yet, but from all i know, they do not multiply damage by a degree that would give it its pride back. This tremendous Claymore (Its not a Zweihander).

Now, dont get me wrong, it doesnt have to be the strongest weapon (though it deserves to be imho), but it should be usable in high-lv defenses or survivals.

To use a Galatine has its own feeling. Its a big, proud weapon. Not messy like a hammer, a pair of daggers for some bu77stabbing or a kinky whip. Its beautifully clean, powerfull and fast.

I would hate to have to either throw it away, because it deals 0 damage to any mob that has more lifepoints than a butcher or to have a melee weapon with me, which i wouldnt use through the whole mission.

Anyway, it would be great to know, whether the devs want to give it a boost or whether they just hate it so much for being most players favorite, they made it weaker than any other weapon.
