Feedback and suggested QoL changes for Elite Onslaught

4 suggestions to improve ESO after many months of playing it back-to-back.

1) ESO imposes a condition where an ability that's spammed too much receives a lockdown; most notably, any 4 pressed within 10 seconds of each other receives a 15 second cooldown. The problem is that there is no display timer for this 10 second pre-lock, so it can easily be lost track of in the heat of combat, or a mistiming making the 4 be cast at the 9.9th second by accident and imposing the 15 second lock. Please add a pre-lock timer on skills (like a blue countdown timer over the skill icon, just like how the lock timer is red), particularly the ultimate.

2) In particularly large maps with spawn zones scattered from A to Z (one example is the earth tile involving a large circular arena with machinery in the middle, another is the corpus ice wreck cavern with the pool in the middle), enemies too far from players will simply stand still. Not only does this go against the theme of a relentless enemy assault, these inactive enemies also hog the spawn cap and players who don't actively hunt these squatters down will have to contend with lower densities of enemies to kill. Please apply survival AI to Onslaught mobs; the very same AI that causes enemies to nonstop run towards the player, even players who are cloaked and weren't sighted.

3) Certain levels have lighter spawn densities of enemies. One example is the current zone 5 of this week's ESO: the square corpus cargo ship room (another being the same ice room above). Please readjust and increase the spawn density of enemies in these rooms.

4) A request to add a 45 focus booster into Zone 1 as well. As it is running through Zone 1 feels like a chore and mild waste of 2.5 minutes due to the lack of a booster, and players who play standard rotations as a result only technically get 7 boosters.

The point is to not rely on the 4th ability. Waiting for the exact amount of time before using it again just says to DE that it needs to be increased or made random, not made easier to know the exact moment you can use it again.

Many frames are BUILT around casting often, and the timer already makes them all but useless in ESO. Increasing the timer makes this problem worse for many frames, and the frames that are powerful in enslaught already don't care about the timer at all. At the very least, the timers should be displayed so players can work around them.

Are you sure that's what you want and not DE? DE seems happy enough to limit ults to being cast once every 10 seconds, the wikia has documented the "10 second rule" since sanctuary onslaught came out and they haven't increased the timer in retaliation etc.

Besides, weapons alone can only kill so many enemies. If you and your whole team choose not to rely on AoE nuke abilities, good luck lasting past Zone 8 in Elite Onslaught. If DE randomizes/extends the pre lock timer, it becomes harder to remain past zone 8 and thus what's the point of doing so when focus farming is way easier in the first 8 zones?

Your suggestion to make the pre-lock timer a harsher punishment really benefits no one whatsoever.
