In fact, when I feel that there's a lack of music (there seems to be a bug where music just never plays sometimes, regardless of mission/faction), I play some ME music or the likes. Otherwise, many other video games boss battle theme can serve as inspiration to what they can do: Bring in the taiko drums for a big part of the beat while having orchestra+chorals in the back to intensify the scale of battle.
