If I remember correctly, Scinbed said in Council chat that it is a reward from 15+ minutes into T2 Survival.

Sorry, but I don't know the details. I highly doubt it's guaranteed because that would make every T2 Survival key a T3 if you make it that far. Too generous.

He mentioned he got the key from regular defense mission as a reward. I remember reading someone else's post saying to just farm Xini. Not sure how accurate that is though.

About the timing for Survival.

According to an unrelated DE Staff(will not disclose his name, so feel free to overlook my info)

 

The drop tables changes at 5, 10 and 15m.

Anything above 15m 'supposedly' does not change the drop tables.

I think that's how it was for the Survival EVENT. Since U10 though, it doesn't appear to make a difference. Since people have reported getting all items within 5 minutes.

Playing T2 Survival, Mag Prime Helm and Chasis, received both after Lotus states you wouldn't believe what we found (operative second find), usually about 10 -12 minutes in.

they say have similar maps that rewarded that..

Have been playing T2 survival, Mag Prime component BPs I've received: 11 Mag Prime Help, 4 Mag Prime Chassis, 0 Mag Prime Systems, 0 Mag Prime Master. Ran more than 100 extracts, with at least 10 being 15+ min extracts.
