No shadows on plains?

Not the shadow under my hoverboard, but the shadows of the trees that the sun should be casting.
Image was taken in the middle of the day, entered plains directly

You necro'd a topic from almost 2 years ago, any issues like this will likely have been resolved one way or another since then.

Anyway, just out of curiosity, what exactly made you end up doing this?
Why did you respond to this topic in particular, how did you find it?

I ask because topic necros have been having a HUGE upswing recently,
mostly by fresh accounts on top of it all, it's kind of bizarre.

Probably want to forget all about 2020.

More seriously though, search on this site can't be trusted to offer relevant results. It barely cares about age so you easily find years old threads for simple searches like "graphics settings" or "shadows".

I just typed "Warframe plains no shadow" on google search haha.

Anyway, are you still having this shadow "issue"? This makes the plains at day time feels kinda bland.

So wait, are you saying you are having the same / a similar issue right now? Is that why searched for those terms?

But then why didn't you mention that, why did you give suggestions that ... apparently aren't working on your end? I guess?

Anyway, for me, shadows appear just fine. *shrug*

But yeah im pretty sure this post was made before the new renderer was even properly announced, the issue has since been fixed.

In fact there was another shadows issue related to the open worlds that i brought up in a later post where the terrain was not casting shadows (only entities like rocky outcrops were), but that has also since been fixed

Clearly those trees were vampires, and thus had no shadows (or reflections). In the time since this thread was created, they have long since turned to ash and new normal trees have grown in their place.
