Dakra Prime: What Skana Prime Should Have Been

So I looked at the stats for both weapons side by side, and the more I do the more I notice how... underwhelming the Founders equipment is. Especially the Skana Prime and Lato Prime. But today I will be focusing on the Skana Prime. 

 

Founders weapons are supposed to stand out and easily match up to everything else out there. They are meant to be a trophy for founders to carry with pride and as a reward for their generous contribution towards the longevity of the game. But it's really hard to carry the Skana Prime with pride when its stats make it look like an expensive flyswatter compared to other melee weapons, especially the Dakra Prime. The Dakra Prime swings faster, has a better charge attack(Horizontal instead of Vertical slice), has better damage, hits multiple targets, etc. 

 

Please DE, do something to the Skana Prime.

Founder weapons will become exclusive, no reason they should be massively better than their non-prime counter parts.

They're bling. They're items to show off with.

The point is that they aren't even up to par with the rest of the arsenal.

TBF, it's all starter equipment. Lato < lato prime, skana < skana prime = cronus (pretty much), they still follow the "primes are upgrades" trend.

At the moment, all longswords except for the kama are terrible compared to the Dakra. They're going to be revamping the whole weapon class, so presumably Skana Prime will get looked at then.

Personally, I'm not a founder, but I do think their stuff should get buffed. I mean, out of us all, they have made some of the biggest contributions, so there rewards should be more than subpar.

I would totally be okay with the Skana Prime matching the Dakra Prime. As long as it is not better than anything players can get, it should be fine. Being equal to the Dakra Prime would mean that it is not better than what can be attained without cash.

Whats annoying is how much you have to pay to get them - so they should be reasonably usable! not just sitting gathering dust because you can't use them.

I don't mind that the SP isn't powerful. It looks cool, different animations, if I modded it it would be powerful in its own right. 

 

They are ceremonial weapons, they look great, but aren't necessarily god-tier.

The Skana Prime has it's own unique charge attack. These founder items are exclusive and novelty items that are only obtainable through funding the game. There aren't many.
