Shipkillers and turbines and Galleons, oh my The Grineer are about to blow us sky high Crewships are strengthening the enemy fleet Their fighters surround us to give us defeat (Chorus) There's absolute chaos here from the word Go The struggle is real, it's something we know With voices all raised when our hope is long gone This space is a void hole but we will fight on! The hull has five ruptures, there's fire on the floor The shields have shorted, there's ice on the door Urgent commands issued from Cephalon Cy Cannot be fulfilled for the Omni is dry (Chorus) The pilot is quickly locked into the chase Just twisting and turning all over the place The side Gunners sit and will silently blame The pilot for wrecking all chance for their aim (Chorus) Tactician gets dizzy while in the slingshot Before he flies off to wherever he wants The engineer tasked with maintaining the ship Is asked to do much when resources are zip (Chorus) The ramsleds are coming, the boarders break in But Grineer are confused, the place is vacant Where are the Tenno they were ordered to shoot? Time to wake up, kiddo! <chorus> ________________________________ Are you ready kiddo, For the arrival of The New War? _______________________________ Disclaimer/explaination: This was my first time writing a shanty (or any song) so I know it's not realy good and maybe it missed the purpose of shanty. Lines that are completly like this are the short version that you can just sing if you don't want to remeber the whole song (words that look like this in middle of normal words aren't part of this) and it is basically about what we do in railjack mission (get ready, shoot stuff, get the loot/booty), but you can still sing those parts along with the rest of the song. What I wanted to do is present the whole journey Tenno took up to this point. Awoken just to be taken as Vor's PRIZE. For ONCE AWAKE I only used the name of the quest, it doesn't have to do with infested, instead it represents the begining of the journey. STOLEN DREAMS are basically when we get Maroo, Clem, syndicates, people of Cetus and Fortuna to fight along side us THE NEW STRANGE is when Chroma, controled by the infested, shows up and at that point we are getting deeper into Tenno's origins I didn't use "Natah" in the song because I saw THE LOTUS as something bit more symbolic (it's basically the same person anyway) THE SECOND DREAM, definetly the most important story quest, is when we finaly find out who are the Tenno In THE WAR WITHIN we fight inside our mind to completly free ourself. I know Chains of Harrow is a completly diferent quest from TWW, but I couldn't help myself to not put something like "breaking the chains" in TWW part For SACRIFICE I had to be bit more creative because it isn't realy clear who made sacrifice and what kind of sacrifice THE RISING TIDE is as we know the latest quest and, besides Erra and Chimera quests, it is the prologue for THE NEW WAR Well, that's it from me, I hope you like it and good luck to all of you!!! :-) Edited January 29, 2020 by SkyRox3112 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
