Pillars/altars in Deimos - what is the point?

Here is a section from the Cambion Drift page that shows what each one does.

Requiem Pylons (Reactive Crystal)

  • Spawns enemies when in close proximity.
  • Can be activated with VoidTearIcon b Void damage.
  • Pylons stay active for about 90 seconds.
  • Pylons have a cooldown of about 12 seconds and can be reactivated after it is recharged.
  • Pylons have a 'shield' pool that is depleted by each instance of activation damage. Once that pool runs out, the crystal is destroyed and the pylon becomes inert. Remaining charge is visible as the pylons 'shield'. It is recommended to use low-damage attacks so that the pylon can be activated a greater number of times.
  • When a pylon is activated, it appears that there is a chance (50%-75%) that the pylon will reward a resource drop for most enemies (75% drop chance?) killed within 10m. Drops appear next to the top of the tower, and land within a 10m radius.

FassRequiemIcon Fass Confuses enemies in range to attack each other. Explodes every 12 seconds. The effect lasts 6 seconds. Confused enemies cannot be attacked until the effect ends (bug?).
JahuRequiemIcon Jahu Creates a 10m sphere that pushes enemies away. Deals no damage, but occasionally generates Impact b Impact proc on enemies. Only functions when there is a Warframe or enemy (but not just an Operator) within the radius.
KhraRequiemIcon Khra Slows down enemies in range every 12 seconds. The effect lasts 6 seconds.
LohkRequiemIcon Lohk Has a chance to teleport one enemy within 10m away every second. Enemies are teleported 30m in a random direction (confirmation needed).
NetraRequiemIcon Netra Summons two friendly Deimos Tendril Drones. A maximum of four can be active at a time. The tower will not reactivate until there are less than four drones alive. Drones are killed when the pylon deactivates, and become lootable corpses at that time.
RisRequiemIcon Ris Blinds enemies in range every 12 seconds. The effect lasts 6 seconds.
VomeRequiemIcon Vome Tethers enemies, preventing them from leaving its 10m bubble.
XataRequiemIcon Xata Randomly cycles into a different symbol when activated. Returns to Xata when the effect ends.
