eStecko
by TotalBiscuit On the 18th of October, the developer of Day One Garry's Incident issued a copyright strike against my channel, effectively censoring the criticism of their game. This is an account of what happened and why it should never be allowed to happen again. Welcome to gaming industry. :/ Popcorn and lets watch this Streisand effect (holy cow, 750k views in ~12hours)! WTF is... Day One Garry Incident, mirror reupload Update: Jim Sterling is entering the scene: http://www.destructoid.com/day-one-garry-s-incident-developers-censoring-criticism-263945.phtml "Little bit too late" WCG removed the strike and unblocked the video, yet the problem still remains. Spotlight area If you would like to know about our glorious gaming industry (everyone here knows Extra Credits already and i linked TB above, so something new)... Jim Sterling's Jimquisition, egoistic persona of cynicm who has loads of points - http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition Yahtzee's Zero Punctuation, cynical game reviews - http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation Feel free to add more sources of awesomeness. Like Adam Sessler or Patrick Klepek (which sadly dont have their own shows, but you can google their work). AugmentedJustice
So glad you shared this. This is just an injustice to so many people who, have every right to critique a game yet get their videos removed, which is just unfair, especially on TB's part, which is what he makes a rightful living off of. I'd recommend staying away from anything Wild Game Studios does in the future, or atleast proceed with caution.

Sixty5
I watched that earlier today. The embedded vid is more an example of how s****y youtube is, but is still a good example of how copyright laws are outdated in terms of our medium. eStecko
How did you get the frost prime avatar? Once... long, long time ago, there was optional account reset. I took it and was hit by this side effect. So glad you shared this. Also one of the reasons i personaly dont like SEGA (sorry Company of Heroes 2) and Nintendo (one day... we might get a real Goldeneye and Perfect Dark sequels, instead of Mario XXII), which did this in the past or are still running this. On a similiar note, if you would like longer talk from Kevin Spacey about similiar problems in movie industry and reflect that on gaming industry, here is the link - https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/99524-kevin-spacey-about-history-future-of-media-and-finding-its-crowd/

It's, I mean, for an actor of his caliber and position in Hollywood, to acknowlege video games as a medium, in the way he did, makes me grin ear to ear. Kevin Spacey, is doin' it right. Hexosaurus
This game looks like a reskinned, quest-based WarZ mod.

eStecko
http://culture.vg/ the most critically analytical website on videogame culture and philosophy that I've ever found Which redirects me to some insomnia website. Iam sorry but i lost interrest when i saw Nuke Nukem Forever rated above games like Bastion, Machinarium, Limbo, Batman:AA, Heavy Rain, LA Noire, World of Goo and even old Sonic games. Personally it looks just like a "reviewer" doesnt like/understands certain gernes and therefor rates them low. Not to speak of that half of the reviews are locked behind a login (that's not how you develop a respectable review site). Not to speak of half of those reviews consist of swear words. :/
zergla
A bit disgusting that developers can do crap like that.
eStecko
The one and only, also known as "Thank God for me!", Jim Sterling is entering the scene. http://www.destructoid.com/day-one-garry-s-incident-developers-censoring-criticism-263945.phtml
